Born 1952 in Edinburgh,
Scotland, Roderick obtained a BSC in chemistry and then
proceeded to become a teacher for several years until
disability forced his early retirement in 1982. A lifelong
interest in astronomy was combined with writing and
he produced many short stories, articles and works of
radio drama. Finding difficulty in typing by hand, he
turned to voice controlled software with great success
and was able to continue writing.
Alien Psychology is a culmination of his thoughts
developed over the last few years on extraterrestrial
life, astronomy, politics and unidentified flying objects.
Other recent work includes reviews and articles on science
fiction, astronomy, Shakespeare, horse racing and cricket.
He now lives in a town ten miles west of Edinburgh with
Tiddles, the cat. Managing his own system of careers,
he has an active and outgoing life. His hope is that
when they land, George W. and Tony will enlist his help
as a special advisor.
