Mike Nettleton is an Oregon native
who accidentally stumbled into the radio business thirty-three
years ago, and has yet to stumble back out. An Oregon
native, his gift for gab has taken him to six western
cities including Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he met
the love of his life; Arcata, California, where he nearly
got a nosebleed from staring up at the redwoods; and
Eugene, Oregon where the rain falls almost daily and
the anarchists demonstrate nearly as often.
Currently, he is a news host with 1190 KEX in Portland,
Oregon. Mike has been a four-time finalist in the Pacific
Northwest Writer's Association short story competition,
winning twice. He and Carolyn were chosen as finalists
in the Rocky Mountain Gold competition for Humbug Mountain,
and they have written three other novels together without
their friends having to instigate a marital intervention.
Currently, they co-teach a novel-writing boot camp class
at Clark Community College in Vancouver, Washington.
Other interests include golf, tennis, avoiding yard
work, Texas hold-em poker and book collecting. He has
a 31-year old son, Robert from his first marriage.
