Right after I graduated
from college, where I was the news editor of the University
Star, I went to work for a small newspaper in San Marcos,
Texas. It was so small that often I was the only person
there.
During the next ten years, I
worked for several different newspapers, all with the
American Publishing Company. I have had short stories
published in the Hillside Scene and the Strain. Also,
I have won the Outsiders Ink Short Story Contest, and
have been asked to be a regular contributor to the online
magazine.
I've also done public relations
for many non-profit organizations, and take great pleasure
in being an active part of my community.
Now I write a weekly newsletter
for my church, and I am a manager for Amazing Instant
Romance, part of America Online's Amazing Instant Novelist
area. There, I have been unofficially dubbed the Chief
of the Grammar Police.
I have a bachelor's degree in English and Journalism
from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos,
Texas. It was the crowning achievement of my life, while
my two wonderful children looked on. I live in Austin.
