Cathi's job as a
barmaid takes on an interesting aspect when a stranger
is hired to sing on Saturday evenings. At first their
only common ground is their single status, and that
they both have a seven year-old daughter. Jeff's interest
in Cathi seems to be occasional, whereas her problems
with her loser of a brother are constant. Brother dear
is robbing her blind to support his drinking habit,
but that dilemma takes a second seat to a blood test.
Apparently, although they'd never met until very recently,
Jeff's daughter is also Cathi's biological daughter.
