Prologue

I drift slowly through the graveyard. My bonelike fingers brush against the tombs of the living. It is here I feel most alive, I can feel it seeping off of them. When the dark creatures came forth from the earth, we thought we were the lucky ones. That their prey, those who now lie entombed in the earth, were dead and we were to continue living. But, after the coming of monsters, there was a second advent. Dusk welled up from the earth, and from us it stole life itself. As it turns out, dying is merely a part of life, and with life, it was taken from us. Now we wonder the earth, without joy or sorrow or even fear, for these too are part of that life which has been consumed by the Dusk.
