Chapter 25

“Little Sweet Sister, is there anything I can help you with?” Feng Xian asked as he walked to the counter.

“Hmm, well, you could help me separate the egg yolks and whites, and also note down the flour proportions on the wall,” Lin Xiaotian instructed.

Feng Xian followed her instructions, helping with the dessert preparation. However, when it came to intricate decorations or advanced techniques, he couldn’t keep up, and Lin Xiaotian had to take over.

Lin Xiaotian also taught him some tips for making various sweet pastries. As they worked together, their conversation became more natural. By the afternoon peak hours, Feng Xian was busy delivering orders again.

Until around 8 p.m., when Lin Xiaotian handed him his wages.

“Thank you so much for your help today. We’ll see you next weekend,” Lin Xiaotian smiled and bid him farewell.

“Goodbye, Little Sweet Sister. See you next weekend,” Feng Xian replied and left for home.

The next day at school, Molly, GouZhi, and Dong Yuan were all absent. When Feng Xian asked the teacher about it, he learned that none of them had filed for leave, which made Feng Xian feel that something was off.

He went to the second-year cssroom and asked XiaGuo An about it, but XiaGuo An acted indifferent. Feng Xian then approached XinRongrong, GouZhi’s girlfriend, and after some persuasion, he learned that the three had been at a casino, lost a lot of money, and borrowed from loan sharks.

“I told GouZhi not to get too deep into it, but he wouldn’t listen. So we broke up and stopped living together,” XinRongrong expined.

“Do you know where they are now?” Feng Xian continued to ask.

She handed him a business card. Feng Xian called the number on it, and a woman’s voice answered. After expining his intentions, he arranged to meet her at the Bck Peach A Casino.

“Okay, but I need to attend css first. Can we meet after school?” Feng Xian said calmly.

“Alright,” Hong Niang agreed before hanging up.

GouZhi and Dong Yuan, unable to repay their debts, had been captured and locked in the casino’s underground room. Molly, on the other hand, had been settled by her father’s money and was ordered to stay at home for a week to reflect.

In the afternoon, Feng Xian entered the casino alone. Hong Niang, seeing how righteous he was to single-handedly help his cssmate, invited him to her second-floor office for a discussion.

“They each owed 70,000 yuan initially, but with the rolling interest over these few days, let me calcute… oh, wow, together they owe exactly 200,000 yuan. Young man, are you pnning to pay this much for them?” Hong Niang said, puffing on her white jade cigarette pipe.

“Wow, they say casino money can be won, but debts can’t be touched. A fly passing by would lose two taels of meat. Indeed, the name isn’t in vain,” Feng Xian teased.

“Damn it! How dare a little brat like you speak to us like that? You’re asking to die!” one of the henchmen roared, pointing at Feng Xian menacingly.

“You’d better watch your mouth, or I’ll make you pick up your teeth from the floor,” Feng Xian retorted, revealing a fierce, murderous gaze. The henchman, intimidated, backed down slightly.

Hong Niang, seeing that Feng Xian was extraordinary and might have some backing, called the two henchmen out.

“Sorry if my men were disrespectful earlier. I’ll have them apologize to you. But we run a business based on profit, not charity. There’s no way to make exceptions,” Hong Niang continued to expin.

“You’re right. They’re just poor losers. I really don’t understand why you lent them so much money. I’ll give them a month to repay, but during this time, the 200,000 yuan won’t increase. And you must release them now,” Feng Xian said confidently.

Hong Niang was amused by his audacity. She thought he was trying to swindle her and rescue the two without paying, but she wasn’t foolish.

“If you release them, they’ll just come back again. What makes you think I can trust you, young man?” Hong Niang sneered, looking at him coldly.

Feng Xian pulled out a long, rectangur purple sandalwood box and slid it over to her.

“Does this have enough authority?” Feng Xian asked.

Hong Niang examined the box and was shocked by its value. Her eyes widened, and her mouth remained open for a long time. She slowly closed the box, pced it reverently on the table, and began to tremble uncontrolbly. Her voice shook as she spoke.

  “This… this isn’t…”

Before she could finish, Feng Xian interrupted her.

“You know what it is, so no need for further expnation. Does this have enough authority?” Feng Xian asked arrogantly, looking down at her.

“Enough… more than enough. Instead of the interest, just return the 140,000 yuan you borrowed,” Hong Niang said, her tone now respectful.

“Release them now. In a month, return the 200,000 yuan. And today, act as if I never came here. Also, take good care of this item, Madam,” Feng Xian said before leaving.

By around 6 p.m., the two were released with a warning never to set foot in the Golden City Casino again, lest they face merciless consequences.

And so, Feng Xian embarked on his incredible journey to earn 200,000 yuan in a month. How will he solve this problem? Stay tuned!
