Moonlit Serenity: The Girl Who Shouldn’t Exist

  Bang!

The bathroom door burst open as if blown by a gust of wind, and a snow-white figure shot out, trailing scattered droplets of water. She flew straight toward Ye Tianxie, her voice urgent with excitement:

  “Master! Lollipop! Lollipop!”

The moment Guoguo appeared before him, Ye Tianxie’s eyes froze, and then, almost instinctively, he covered his nose, groaning, “Guoguo… put some clothes on first!”

She was completely bare, not a single thread on her body. Her hair, arms, and tiny feet were all covered in shimmering droplets. The faint pink hues on her chest were barely concealed by two stray drops of water, creating an impactfully stunning visual. Guoguo seemed utterly unaware of the concept of modesty—she never cared whether she was clothed in front of him. At night, she would strip down completely and sprawl across Ye Tianxie’s pillow in the most unseemly sleeping postures. If he so much as turned his head… everything, whether he should see it or not, would be laid bare before him. And during bath time? She cared even less.

For Ye Tianxie, this was pure torment.

Her flawless, delicate figure was petite, but that did nothing to diminish the irresistible charm that emerged from her combination of innocence and purity. It was a kind of allure that stripped away all defenses—at least, Ye Tianxie’s self-control had been repeatedly shattered.

Ye Tianxie never considered himself a good man, let alone a righteous gentleman. If Guoguo were a normal girl, the desire she stirred within him would have already pushed him to take action without hesitation… But her tiny frame was so small that, on multiple occasions, it nearly brought him to tears.

“I’m still bathing! I don’t wanna wear clothes! Master, where’s my lollipop… huh? That’s weird. Why don’t I smell any lollipops?” Guoguo flicked the water droplets off her little hands and twitched her tiny nose, her voice full of confusion.

“They’re sold out today, so we’ll have to buy some tomorrow. No more sweets at night—it’s bad for your teeth,” Ye Tianxie said, adopting the tone of an adult coaxing a child.

But if lectures like that worked, then Guoguo wouldn’t be Guoguo.

As expected, her once-excited expression immediately crumbled. Her soft pink lips pouted, and her big eyes welled up with misty grievance, as if tears would fall at any second.

Faced with Guoguo in this state, there were only two ways to calm her down—either fulfill her demand or make a promise big enough to satisfy her, like guaranteeing to buy her a hundred lollipops tomorrow. Any other form of consolation would be completely useless.

Ye Tianxie was just about to speak when, all of a sudden, Guoguo’s pitiful expression vanished without a trace. She blinked her crystal-bright eyes, which shimmered like stars, then pouted slightly and said,

“Master, you don’t seem to be lying this time… Hmm, then I won’t eat lollipops tonight. But you must remember to buy them for your cutest, most obedient Guoguo tomorrow! …Master, come take a bath with me.”

  Late at Night

The room was silent, bathed in the soft glow of moonlight that poured in like liquid silver. It filtered through the white gauze curtains on the balcony, casting a gentle radiance across the spotless floor and illuminating the delicate face resting on the bed.

Guoguo’s sleeping posture was carefree, yet her sleeping expression was so adorably serene that it made one want to scoop her up into a tight embrace—like a precious porcelain doll.

Up close, her small face appeared even more exquisite. She was a breathtakingly beautiful young girl, around twelve or thirteen years old. Her features were delicate and youthful, her skin smooth and radiant, her brows as finely shaped as those in a painting. Her complexion was as fair as freshly fallen snow, and a faint dimple graced her round cheeks, adding to her unparalleled charm. She lay slightly askew on the pillow, hugging a tiny cushion that matched her petite frame. Her jet-black hair fanned out across the pillow, accentuating her exposed jade-like face, her rosy lips, and her fair, lotus-root-like arms.

A thin, plain white blanket—torn from who-knows-where by Ye Tianxie—covered her small figure. Even though her body was partially concealed, her delicate curves were still irresistibly alluring. Beyond the blanket, her bare upper body was left completely exposed, her snow-white skin glowing with a luster that seemed purer than frost, more translucent than jade. Her lower legs, peeking out from beneath the blanket, were as smooth as if they had been dipped in cream—so white they almost dazzled the eyes.

Ye Tianxie gazed silently at the tiny girl before him, as if mesmerized by a sleeping spring blossom. Though they had spent many days together, there was still an undeniable sense of surrealism lingering in his heart.

This girl had stormed into his life without warning, adding a vibrant touch of color to his once-empty world. Though they had only just met, she had integrated into his life with incredible ease. On the very first day, she had entered his home; on the very first day, she had somehow made him willingly buy lollipops for her; and on that very first night, they had even shared the same bed. Everything had unfolded so naturally, so effortlessly, as if it were the most normal thing in the world.

Despite her seemingly na?ve and clumsy nature, Guoguo had her own little clever tricks. Yet, when it came to him, there wasn’t even the slightest hint of wariness—only pure, wholehearted acceptance. She treated him as someone intimate, someone she could rely on, cling to, act spoiled around, and even playfully defy—a "master" she acknowledged in the most serious way.

Ye Tianxie had no idea where this sense of closeness came from. In fact, even now, he didn’t truly know who this tiny girl was or how many secrets she carried within her.

As if sensing his lingering gaze, Guoguo’s long eyelashes quivered slightly. After a moment, the breathtaking girl slowly opened her eyes. Her irises gleamed like polished black gemstones, shining as brilliantly as the stars. The clear moonlight reflected off her ethereal features, casting a dreamy haze over her, making her look even more otherworldly.

Still groggy with sleep, her misty eyes flickered toward Ye Tianxie, and she let out a soft, unconscious murmur. But almost instantly, her drowsy lids fluttered shut again, and she drifted back into her beautiful dream.

This was the first time Ye Tianxie had ever watched the tiny girl beside him with such quiet intensity. Almost unconsciously, he reached out, wanting to gently brush his fingers across her delicate face. But just before his fingertips made contact with her cheek, his hand froze midair—then slowly withdrew, afraid of waking the peacefully sleeping girl.

Lying back down, he stared blankly at the ceiling for a while before finally closing his eyes. His consciousness soon faded into a hazy blur.

Guoguo possessed a kind of pure, radiant charm that no ordinary person could ever have—an aura that made people instinctively lower their guard around her.

And yet, it was precisely this kind of Guoguo that Ye Tianxie longed for the most… even though she was someone who, perhaps, was never meant to exist in his world at all.
