As Akari stepped outside, he looked around, noting that the street around him was quiet to a fault except the usual sounds of nature. It was dark, with little visibility except for people with good eyes and night vision.
It was perfect for an assassination.
His attire was black enough to blend in with the darkness, suiting his profession greatly.
A hole in the form of a door took shape on the barrier as he willed it, and he checked his current weapons, making sure they're up to standard. When he finished, he stepped out of the barrier and onto the sidewalk.
He silenced himself, erasing his body and presence from the naked 5 senses, and activated [Flash Step]—a 'skill' of movement formed by his physical strength—and got to his target's residence fairly quickly.
He stopped in front of the property, checking the exterior twice over before proceeding with the job. It was a 2-story mansion, befitting of the assassination target, with guards stationed all over.
The guards were conceptualizers, users of the energy given by supernatural entities, as well as users that use their own energy. These guards are the former, as well as most of the conceptualizers in the world.
'This is an assassination, not a massacre.' he thought to himself while deciding to simply ignore the guards. They were weak by his standards.

He took a route that had the least amount of guards, which meant the least amount of trouble he had to go through to get to his target.
'Amedai Adjack, CEO of Adjack Industries, is a conglomerate in today's world. So, a succession dispute is the probable cause. This is most likely a body double since he's had many assassins before me after him. I'll need to find the real him.'
As he thought that, he knocked out anyone that could sense him quickly—and discreetly—while making his way to his current target. All the while searching any room that was of importance for information on Adjack's true whereabouts.
As soon as he reached the door of Adjack's bedroom, he felt something that was slightly off. But, he continued on. He opened the door, and as soon as he stepped inside, he activated [Short-distance Teleportation] and dodged the sword flying straight at him.
"Interesting. The body double is this strong, hm? I look forward to when I meet the actual Adjack."
He muttered to himself, while the body double looked a mixture of surprised and disbelief. He was surprised because the intruder—Akari—knew he was a body double, and he was in disbelief because Akari was effortlessly dodging his attacks.
"Oh, you heard me. Why are you surprised? Adjack wouldn't be this weak. He'd actually be able to make me attack."
He said nonchalantly as he unholstered his black pistol, aimed, and shot the body double 3 times in the span of half a second. His first and second shot hit the body double's hands, and his third shot went through his skull, killing the man.
"And I know you can hear me, Adjack. I'll take the money for this assassination. The only reason I'm trying to find you is because you interest me. Nothing else, nothing more. I'll see you soon."
When he finished speaking, he made a small dot of Void and cut the connection, as well as the head of the body double, ending the conversation. He got rid of the Void dot and activated [Short-distance Teleportation], leaving the premises and heading home using [Flash Step].
