  ===========================

  Standing before the massive, mountain-sized body of the fallen Titan Guardian, Ji Wuye's long martial robe—charred ash in color—flowed in the volcanic arena, the fabric rippling like waves on a stormy sea.

  The dark ceiling of the cavern loomed overhead, seeming to press down with an oppressive weight as his crimson pupils focused on the transparent screens before him.

  However, this time, he was far from calm. His eyes narrowed sharply into slits.

  His hands trembled slightly, betraying the turmoil raging beneath his steely exterior as his breaths quickened, the air rasping past his parted lips.

  He sighed deeply, the sound seeming to reverberate through the cavernous space, though the reaction sted only a brief moment.

  In the next instant, his entire body began to dissolve into countless faint bluish cubes, the tiny geometric shapes shimmering like diamond dust as they gradually caused him to vanish entirely.

  ...

  With a blinding light suddenly appearing out of nowhere in the small, cubic room, countless glowing cubes began to materialize, coalescing into a shimmering cloud of azure particles.

  Slowly, they reconstructed Ji Wuye's physical form, starting with his long white hair that seemed to flow like liquid moonlight, and culminating in the emergence of his crimson pupils, which gleamed with an intensity that could set the very air afme...

  "I did it."

  Ji Wuye's voice was barely above a whisper, yet it seemed to echo through the stillness of the chamber.

  His crimson pupils were still dited, blinking a few times as his forehead wrinkled in disbelief, the creases etching themselves deeply into his brow.

  Slowly, his tense eyelids drooped, and his facial muscles rexed, the hard lines of determination melting away as a faint smile tugged at the corners of his lips, suffusing his features with a sense of profound relief.

  Even though he had prepared for this moment—calcuted every step meticulously, from choosing the Titan Lord to selecting the weapon he would forge and inscribing it with the final enhancements—it still shocked him deeply to have succeeded, the weight of his accomplishment settling over him like a physical mantle.

  For a moment, Ji Wuye y on the only bed in the Challenger Waiting Room, gazing up at the dark ceiling with its brick-like texture, his mind racing as he pondered everything that had just transpired.

  The sound of his own breathing seemed unnaturally loud in the stillness, each inhation and exhation.

  Right then, a soft greenish light enveloped his entire body, easing his tension and spreading a warm, rexing sensation through his brain and muscles like a soothing balm.

  At the same time, a couple transparent screens fshed before his crimson pupils.

  ===========================

  [!] All temporary injuries have been healed!

  ===========================

  ===========================

  [!] You have 30 minutes remaining before being transported back to your world!

  ===========================

  There were too many topics swirling in his mind. For one, it was both surprising and unprecedented that the Tower had punished the gods. Then there was the matter of the rewards, which seemed far too meager compared to what he had received in the past.

  The only thing he had truly expected was the Titan Lord’s gift, as it aligned with what had occurred in the previous timeline. But despite his curiosity, Ji Wuye was utterly drained—both mentally and physically.

  The seventh-floor challenge could best be described as a trial of crafting: forging a weapon to defeat the Titan Guardian. Much like the sixth-floor challenge, there had been a guiding voice that led him through numerous mini-challenges and steps, all culminating in the final confrontation.

  The hardest part of the seventh-floor challenge was, without a doubt, finding the Celestial Ore. These rare ores were fiercely guarded by Starforged Sentinels—both the smaller ones and the massive ones.

  To make matters worse, every Challenger was competing for the same limited supply of Celestial Ore, as locating it was already a monumental task. The one-day time limit imposed by the Tower was, frankly, far too insufficient.

  Adding to the difficulty was the oppressive heat that constantly bore down on the Challengers, making them dizzier with each passing moment.

  However, there were countless ways to counter this. For instance, Ji Wuye had used the Internal Art of the Kunlun Breathing to regute the heat flowing through his meridians, channeling his Qi to form a protective membrane that cooled his entire body in the previous timeline.

  Other Challengers from different worlds had their own methods, such as summoning water out of thin air or using magical tools to achieve the same goal of cooling their bodies. This was precisely why the challenge emphasized teamwork—working together to clear the trial was far more practical than attempting to solo it.

  But then, the gods intervened.

  Their interference left Ji Wuye completely alone, without the aid of other Challengers. And as if that wasn’t enough, ‘That damn stone is so fast,’ Ji Wuye muttered inwardly. The gods further increased the difficulty by granting the Titan Guardian absurd, logic-defying speed.

  Even with the blessing of Varkos imbued in the great sword he had painstakingly forged… ‘To be honest, I’m clueless,’ Ji Wuye thought inwardly.

  Yes, he was clueless—completely clueless about how to clear the challenge.

  Ever since the interference from the gods, everything had changed. What had once been manageable with his strength was now far beyond his capabilities.

  He kicked the massive, mountain-sized Titan Guardian, testing its body. As expected, it was true—the Titan Guardian was completely invulnerable. And that wasn’t even the worst part. There were still two more phases of the fight waiting for him.

  He had estimated that the Titan Guardian’s speed matched his own—a martial artist whose physical attributes were equal to, or perhaps even superior to, those of an 8th Realm martial artist. If the Titan Guardian had been just slightly faster, his skill Feline Reflex would have triggered automatically.

  It was the third time he had faced an opponent of this caliber—besides the Bck Thunder Emperor and the WindBde Emperor.

  Now, with both its speed and size—along with strength at that caliber—it was incredibly difficult to finish the challenge. But obviously, he just needed to ssh the core, right?

  ‘Easy to say,’ Ji Wuye thought with a wry smile.

  Yes, that was what he thought too. But just recalling how things had unfolded... When he had tried to execute the Eternal Bde Art, the Titan Guardian had suddenly attempted to sp him mid-attack.

  And then there was the way the Titan Guardian relentlessly tried to intercept his every advance...

  But fortunately, he still had two critical advantages: the blessing of Varkos imbued in his great sword and…

  “The Deflecting Blows,” Ji Wuye murmured to himself.

  This skill had undoubtedly been one of the most pivotal contributors to his survival, second only to Quick Adaptation in this timeline.

  Just as he was reflecting on his narrow victory, a transparent screen fshed before his eyes once again.
