Blood Burn.

This world has two main energies that make up reality, Mana and Aether. Mana is the natural energy generated by life, it is breathed in and out and it is a source of changing energy into other types of energy to create revolutionary and sometimes devastating attacks.

And then, there is Aether, this is not an energy that was created with this world, no according to legends it was an energy released by an unknown being of a divine nature which the inhabitants of this world called an edict died.

The Aether leaked into the world and it caused a war between it and Mana which resulted to the devastation of countless kingdoms and the expansion of this world, Few races posses Aether and anyone who can control it will awaken a 'Stigma'.

Not much was known before that and I am here just to realise I am a weak ass pathetic, talentless fool.

I had no experiences with killing, non with stealing and non with living...well the me in this world of course but on earth I was a violent but also reasonable person.

But you know, I am a bit angry, this world, this body that was filled with filth and impurities it made me realize my situation was unfair.

But that doesn't mean I would give up, I am an avid believer of hardwork and I know a little bit of it could make a small difference to survive in this world.

I had stood up from the streets countless seconds ago and now I am wandering in this large town filled with countless people they were the same as ordinary people, giving me eyes filled with pity and some giving me that of disgust.

I chuckled at them, fortunate people born in rich families not even knowing the values of hardwork, but not all of them are like that.

I walked around some more feeling a little bit hungry, I was feeling a bit dizzy but I could manage it, hunger wasn't something that serious, it's just starving and losing more energy.

  Thump. Thump. Creaaakkk.

Before I could realize what was going abd being lost in my own self taught, a carriage stopped in front of me, the driver looked atme with a glare and the horses thumped on the floor.

  Stolen novel; please report.

"Kid get off the road or you will die." I stood there for a moment, my heart beating in my chest as I felt...fear, I could not even react to it, was this body that weak, maybe hunger is a big problem indeed.

The driver who saw that I didn't react was about to speak rudely to me when the carriage opened and a boy stepped out.

He had regal blue robes that symbolised he belonged in a sect, ah yes in this world, there are organization's in this world dedicated to become the strongest force in the world by gathering top talents and geniuses.

The driver shut up not out of fear but out of respect for the boy.

The boy curiously looked at me and with a smile he walked towards me. "Hello, it seems my driver stopped because of you, my name is Gringar, nice to meet you."

I raised one of my eyes in confusion, in the middle of the street where everyone could witness thos situation, why would a sect disciple talk to me, my eyes narrowed as I got ready to counter whatever was about to happen. "...yeah sorry about that...guess I was hungry...wy are you talking to a poor and homeless person like me?."

Gringar laughed. "Why shouldn't I, helping the weak I'd what the powerful should do...but it seems you aren't only just weak...but you're also talentless..."

I was still on guard. "Yes I am pathetic and as you said weak and talentless so why does that concern this disciple."

Gringar awkwardly chuckled and looked away. "Ah, well it might be embarrassing...buuut I have a taboo technique scroll that allows one to burn their blood without using mana and I wat to get rid of it before I am gound with it...and I just so such...an innocent passerby like you."

Frowned, he was going to hand me a forbidden technique that could get me executed.

Gringar grinned when he saw my smile, like a merchant who’d just made a profitable deal with a fool. But I wasn’t a fool—not anymore. I might be desperate, starving, and standing in rags, but I wasn’t dumb enough to think there were favors in this world without cost.

Still, the scroll... it was tempting.

“Why me?” I asked, narrowing my eyes as I stepped slightly to the side, out of the direct line of traffic in the street. “You could’ve burned it, hidden it, or handed it to someone more... capable.”

His grin turned sly. “Exactly. Someone capable might use it and bring me trouble. Someone like you? No one would believe a talentless wretch survived a blood-burning technique.”

He wasn’t wrong. That’s what pissed me off.

I took the scroll from his extended hand. It was wrapped in red silk, old and worn, the threads singed and humming with something that made my stomach churn.

"Well then, farewell." He went back to the carriage and I went towards the other side ofbte road, the carriage passed by me and it seems the other civilians didn't witness what he gave me, it was like he set up a strange barrier. I placed the scroll into my pocket and sighed.

I have to do some small jobs and gain an income before I can try to attempt this technique.
