Birth: Part 4

Baffled, the grand priestess watched in awe as the Queen Celestia gathered what she witnessed, and created another arrow fit for the situation.

The arrow Queen Celestia created this time, when fired; would split atoms apart at a nuclear level, causing fission reactions to spread and multiply.

Queen Celestia intended to take the sword apart down to a nuclear level, thereby rendering any attempt to slice through the arrow, useless, and Xavier was unaware.

Queen Celestia slowly drew forth the arrow, and fired it. As it approached, Xavier slowly began to realize what was going on; little did he know, the blade already set the conditions for the fight.

Queen Celestia could create a thousand different arrows befitting a situation, but once faced with someone using an end blade, all arrows rendered useless. With ease, Xavier sliced through the arrow.

Xavier slowly began to realize, that he himself, transcended reality and only he, could decide what was possible and what wasn’t; if a trick as clever as that had no effect, then what wasn’t he capable of? Queen Celestia always had an arrow for the job, but upon witnessing this, her usefulness had grown thin.

Xavier had the upper hand, using the Katana, and with his new found awakening; Xavier sliced through the fabric of space, decapitating Queen Celestia.

Not one bit, did the loss of Queen Celestia bother the grand priestess, as she could always summon her once more.

The Queen Celestia: a pure manifestation of chaos, birthed, through the book, and it’s because of this very concept, that she could never truly be killed.

The book of chaos is a book that holds no limitations whatsoever to its capabilities, as so do the eyes; two agents of chaos, that seem to break any, and every law of the existing universe, and have little to no explanation on how they did so.

Only a user with the eyes of infinity could have somewhat of an understanding to their power, but the user the Grand Priestess witnessed before her, had barely even scratched the surface; she understood this much, as all users she faced before Xavier, had no imposing presence; it was as though, they weren’t even there to begin with.

They emitted no aura, no vibration, no mana signals, and at times, they would make, not even the faintest of sounds.

Unfortunately for the grand priestess: she could not be too sure of her hypothesis, as she had only known of, but one user of the eyes; perhaps there could only be, one? She simply, couldn’t say.

The grand priestess had lived for eons and yet, she could never recall ever seeing more than one user. After all, this would mark; only her second time, ever confronting another user, and although believed to be inexperienced; Xavier, had already surpassed her expectations.

Heracles desperately tried to attack Xavier, but with Hermes out of commission, stood no chance of getting a solid shot in.

Xavier was quite elusive, and slowly cut down Heracles without him laying a single finger on Xavier. After he brought the god down his knees; Xavier, decapitated him.

A suffering Hermes who attempted to make a quite getaway, noticed Xavier staring in his general direction; after all, who wouldn’t? Xavier’s presence grew ever more imposing by the minute.

Xavier held out his hand in the shape of a gun, and concentrated a small droplet of water at his fingertips the size of a pea, firing it through the god’s head faster than what the god could perceive.

After witnessing this, the grand priestess knew that she was next in line to suffer a fateful end.

Even though this marked her second time ever crossing paths with the eyes, the grand priestess knew that she stood no chance trying to contest Xavier, and so made the only decision she was capable of making in that present moment; how she would inevitably go out.

The grand priestess opened portals to all mythologies to have ever been in existence, that harboured gods who lusted for the power of the eyes.

All of heaven came crashing down; gods broke through portals in swarms, and Xavier's imposing presence, only served, but to attract all gods like a moth to a flame.

Xavier felt overwhelmed by the sheer size of heaven’s armies. Until now: Xavier had not, the faintest idea of just how sought after his eyes were, and then thought back to what Nathan said; looking at the scene that now bestowed his eyes, Xavier soon came to realize, that it was no bluff.

While Xavier was stuck in thought, Zeus began forging the strongest lightning bolt he could create, and aimed it towards Xavier’s head.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

With inconceivable speeds, the bolt went straight through Xavier’s head, way before he had the chance to even think of moving; an event that occurred infinite times across the collective.

The bolt sent Xavier into a shock, and all time seemed to cease in that present moment.

In this state, Xavier began seeing the countless, infinite universes in which it had happened. Countless paths began crossing Xavier’s mind and infinite timelines ensued right before his eyes; birth, rebirth, life, death, the imaginable, the unimaginable, that within and without.

Xavier, had finally achieved, his final awakening; an assimilation, into the collective conscious.

Having Schrodinger’s cat thought experiment in mind: Xavier brought it to life in such a way, that once in a superposition between life and death; instead of the universe making one feasible outcome, would split reality instead; carrying out both outcomes in two separate realities, only this time, would both versions of Xavier remain, making him achieve a quantum-based immortality.

After splitting reality; the two versions of Xavier that existed in the same physical plane, doubled his already imposing presence, showing no drop in power whatsoever.

A problematic situation for the gods, as, even the version of Xavier that got struck; healed up almost immediately.

Two pairs of infinite eyes in one given place in time, who would’ve thought? The grand priestess herself was frozen in awe.

Xavier began to abuse this concept: every god that struck him, accelerated their fate by making two more versions of him; one that got struck and one that didn’t. Xavier kept abusing this until each and every god had a version of him to fight.

This was no mere cloning spell or technique, they were fully present, and living versions of Xavier; all having and possessing the necessary strength to be equal, and on par with one another.

Awestruck: the grand priestess could do nothing more, than watch as all gods inevitably fell, one by one, to this miraculous event.

Twinkles of light, flashing with the power of supernovas signaling the death of a god; nebulas that plagued the battlefield gave birth to numerous stars in the wake of destruction, ripples sent throughout the entire fabric of space, signaled the sheer magnitude of the battle at hand; a single tear of joy ran down the face of the grand priestess, her entire being enthralled by this miraculous event.

Knowing that her fate was yet to come; the grand priestess slowly opened the book of chaos, refusing to shy away from the marvel that bestowed her eyes and forged a necklace with the book; imbuing it with all the power she had, in order to pass it on to the next grand priestess, whoever it might be.

The grand priestess kissed the necklace, and sent it on its way, all in hope for the best. All that was left to do now, was stand by, and enjoy the view.

Xavier’s presence was no longer detectable, which meant that the grand priestess’ hunch was right. Xavier crept up behind the grand priestess, who, accepting her fate; kept her hands clinched together, and closed her eyes.

Xavier hit the grand priestess with a force so great, it jumped her between universes.

The grand priestess was separated from the book of chaos and harmony, and with all her power having gone into the necklace, had no chance for survival.

One punch after the other; the two traversed through various different universes, travelling between vast wonders and marvels of the unknown.

After Xavier was done, the grand priestess was unrecognizable; dead, upon an unknown moon.

With the main battle against the gods concluded, Xavier took both books with him, and isolated himself within a different time space between space; with similar star-like connections found at the starlight council, but this time, darker and completely void of matter.

After humbling the gods, and placing each one of them back into their respective mythologies; each version of Xavier went back into their own respective realities as well, isolated within their own time space.

Now standing in his isolated time space, with both books in hand; the ever so infinite universes continued to rush through Xavier’s mind, and there was nothing he could do to stop it.

Xavier reached to a point where he had no foresight, no; he had no foresight because they existed nothing that he hadn’t seen already. Everything that once was, is and is to be, already happened right before his eyes; Xavier had truly seen, infinity.

This went on for quite a while, and never seemed like stopping any time soon. For what he thought to be a brief moment, turned out to be eons flashing right before his eyes, and it wouldn’t stop, it couldn’t stop.

Xavier fell to his knees and threw up; he hadn’t eaten for days, so what he threw up was a nebula-like liquid, filled with twinkles in it that resembled stars.

Breathing heavily, Xavier began to go insane. With a sharp stinging sensation pulsating through his mind, Xavier dropped the two books, and let out a shout, a scream of agony.

Curling into a ball, holding himself; Xavier began taking full breaths, as though running a full marathon. Xavier’s mind, was splitting, and he simply couldn’t take it anymore.

Living a googol equivalent of lifetimes in one tenth’s of planck time was simply too overwhelming for Xavier; maybe, if he just peeked into the book of chaos it would stop? Slowly reaching out his hand, a shout stopped Xavier, “No!” Shaking: Xavier refused to look into the direction of the shout, already knowing who it was.

Watching Xavier quiver and shake, the Buddha said, “I take it you’ve already seen this interaction?”

Slowly getting to all fours, Xavier turned his head, “Fucking, way too many times!” he replied, bottom lip quivering, as his eyes plagued with nebula-like tears.

“Then you now know what must be done: protect the book, Keep the universes in check, and maintain, balance. The collective has chosen no one else, besides you, as its sole defender: you alone, are burdened with this task, and you alone, shall suffer, it’s endless torment,” The Buddha said.

Tears ran down Xavier’s face: looking down upon his hands, the two books, and then back at Buddha, asked, “Does- does it have to be this way?” Xavier trembled.

“I’m afraid so,” the buddha replied.

Starring at his hands once more; Xavier knew what he had to do, but was still hesitant in doing so.

Xavier hid the two books, and returned to his own time space; sat on his throne burdened, with the eternal view of endless possibilities; forever gazing into the abyss, of countless reoccurring universes. Forever feared, by both gods, and men, alike.
