Csses has pretty much wrapped up for the day, I stood in front of a desk, stuffing miscelneous papers and folders into my bag, before Akira approached me, his eyes gleaming with curiosity.

  “Hey Mezu! Wanna take a quick detour with me before we go back to the dorms?”

  I raised a brow as I put the rest of my belongings in my bag, before slinging it over my shoulder.

  “A detour? To where exactly?”

  “Well, one of my cssmates in fire studies told me this pce has store, and that they have some pretty decent stuff to help people get the hang of certain magic types”

  “So like training wheels for magic?”

  “Exactly! C'mon don’t you think it at least sounds a little interesting?”

  I paused, before giggling slightly and looking at him,

  “Yeah you’re right that actually sounds amazing, let’s go”

  His face lights up as he extends his hand out for me to take, which I gdly accepted. We began to walk down the many stone halls of the academy, groups of people passing as we walked through.

  We stumbled upon a small little opening near a rge staircase, as we both peered inside we were met with the sight of a rather rge shop, which was filled to the brim with all sorts of magical equipment and spell books.

  "Oh wow, this pce is just bursting with supplies...we'll be here forever-" I ughed and looked back over at him

  "Don't worry, i mean, how rge can it truly be right?" we searched around, looking at anything that interested us, before I stopped at a rge stack of bnk books.

  "Hmm...getting back into writing wouldn't be so bad" Out of the corner of my eye I spotted someone, he didn't look too out of the ordinary but he seemed to just lurk there, as he stared at me. There was something off about him though, he didn’t seem…normal.

  I quickly put down the book I was holding and looked over in his direction, but as if he had noticed my presence, he quickly walked away.

  “That’s weird” I stated

  “Hm? What is it?” Akira asked as he turned his attention over to me

  “Some guy being a creep I guess, but I don’t know, he seemed almost uncanny. It was like he was looking for something and also nothing at the same time”

  “Are you sure he wasn’t just browsing for something?” I paused and shook my head

  “No, his eyes were dead set on me, this can’t be a coincidence, I need to follow him”

  “I don’t think you really-“ I had already walked off before he had even finished speaking.

  I walked down another hall, the crowds of people getting less and less dense the deeper in I went, until finally I saw him again. He quickly turned to look at me, and that’s when it hit me, he almost looks like Akira!

  “Following me now are we?” He said in a low but demeaning voice

  “…who are you, I don’t recognize you from anywhere”

  “And why would I tell you anything about myself when you haven’t even made attempts to introduce yourself?” I gripped the bottom of my sleeves, there was something wrong I could feel it.

  “Now if you don’t mind I’d like to look around in peace”

  (Dammit, I can’t just let him leave! I need to know what he is..) my eyes widened at the sudden realization

  “Wait, just one more thing before you leave”

  “Hm?” My eyes closed as I focused on the man in-front of me, then I was finally able to see it, a warm gold color enveloping him like a warm embrace. He wasn’t any normal being, that type of magical aura is only wielded by gods!

  “You- you’re a god?!” The man chuckled as he stepped closer

  “Hah, you think this meek being infront of you is a god? No no no…he is merely, a disguise.”

  “Eborate.”

  “He was in search of a purpose, and little, offer if you will, but you humans are so easy to deceive” Akira finally caught up and ran up right next to me

  “Mezu! There you are! What happened to-“ he stopped in his tracks as he looked at the man.

  “Wait a minute…what-?” He looked afraid, as if he knew this being.

  “Akira? What’s wrong? Why do you two look so simir?!”

  “That’s…that’s my brother” the air grew still and the man ughed once more.

  “Your brother is long gone, his mind has been broken, only I, the great ruler of this vessel remain” both of us had lumps in our throats and he walked right past us.

  “Excuse me, but I have more important matters to attend to.” And with that, he was out of our sights once again.

  Me and Akira sat in silence before he piped up,

  “That was Adam, or what remains of him, what did you see?”

  “His magical aura..it’s golden, that resembles a god, me, Ssher, and all the others have it too. The only difference is that his was, much stronger”

  “Fuck- what do we do?” He seemed distressed and on the verge of tears

  “I don’t know, but, I think we may have found a clue as to where our siblings are” I walked ahead, grabbing his hand.

  “Come on Akira, we need to tell everyone”

  “Right.”
