As many of you know, since this is being posted right here on Royal Road on this story, Accidental War Mage follows Mikolai, a Ruthenian mechanic of no special importance or unusual talents of any remarkable sort as he dons a borrowed dress uniform & winds up on a journey that will take him far outside of Ruthenia to Wallachia and beyond the reach of the Golden Empire, accompanied by various other persons, such as his sticky-fingered friend Vitold, a dog who isn't especially talkative, a lovely red-headed woman with particularly good aim, and an alleged illusionist who seems only capable of modest sleight-of-hand tricks.

Will Mikolai's six older brothers, aging father, and the surviving few of his half dozen even more elderly uncles ever see their favorite simple, mundane, ordinary, normal farmboy again?

  •   Book 1: Now available on and , as mentioned above. I would love it if you bought or borrowed it. The Amazon version is improved and tightened up from the original with the implementation of many corrections from Royal Road readers and Podium's professional-grade copyeditor. (The one thing I don't like is that they don't really support footnotes, so those were incorporated in the text.)

    •   Goodreads can also help. And if you like this story, please do help. The better this book does, the more likely my publisher throws money at me to get me to hurry up with writing more books.

  •   Book 3: Drafting and outlining was in the early stages, but I write on a two burner system. Now that I'm wrapping up my first version of Nine Nights, this is now one of my two main active writing projects, the other being ASOTD. I plan to post it here starting with Chapter 100. You can sign up for a free membership on my to get the early news about that, but if you're feeling patient, you can just hit the "follow" button on this story and wait for Chapter 100 to show up in your reading feed. (Or, if you're already following, you can just lean back and wait.)
