Chapter 5: Making Enemys

  I woke up in a familiar abyss, feeling languid.

  Floating in space I looked around.

  'So this is my consciousness huh'

  I slowy remembered the previous events.

  'In the end, I couldn't even fight them, I had to burn my own body just to kill one' I looked around, seeing If there was someone else here.

  'I was hoping the Phoenix would have shown up, but I guess not.'

  "He won't be showing up." A voice said

  I fliched as i heard the voice and turned around to see a purple sphere of light

  "Hello Colt, it me. The one that's been pointing out your mistakes"

  "....." I was shocked. I was hoping to find someone to possibly help me, but I never expected 'it' would be able to enter my consciousness.

  ".....what exactly are you?" I ask confused.

  'Is it some kind of system'

  "What am I? Well, to start off, No I'm not a system. I'm more of an assistant. You see, everyone else that was brought here, although against their will, all have something like me"

  "An assistant?" I repeated

  'So it's not some kind of system where I can get stronger'

  'Wait a minute, I'm forgetting something' I thought

  "What about my physical body right now, how much time has passed? Did i manage to escape?" I asked

  "Sadly your body's badly damage. It's mostly your fault though, your not the brightest person, when you wake up you won't be able to move at all. Most of your bones were shattered on impact." He said gravely "you'll be alive, but you'll be suffering for all eternity. Unless if someone finds you and heals you, which I doubt, you'll be living in agony."

  "....." I couldn't say anything, I was too overwhelmed by my own doom.

  'Damn it, I screwed up. Now there's nothing I can do. I'm just going to wake up and lay there on the ground, suffering. DAMN IT!'

  In an anxious voice i said "Isn't there something you can do, there has to be something you can do to help me right, you said your an assistant"

  A feeling of dread was over taking me 'I don't want to wake up, I don't want To! I'm just gonna...Aaahhhhh.'

  Despite my efforts to forget the memory of being eaten alive by wolves, I could no longer suppress the memory. The thought that I was doomed to a fate worse then death, was driving me insane.

  "Nononononono" I said helplessly

  'I don't want to feel that again, it hurt being ripped apart and eaten. Damn it I don't want to feel pain anymore, Shit! Why why WHY! I can't handle it, no please I can't. I CAN'T I CAN'T I CAN'T HANDLE ITTT!!!'

  knowing how painfull it will be for me when I wake up terrified me, knowing that no matter what I do, no matter how much I scream for help, no matter how much pain I will be in, THE PAIN WON'T END.

  The pain won't end no matter what. I'll just be there, suffering in despair.

  This is what really drove me insane

  "FUCCKKKK!" I screamed

  " ....... " the Assistant only watched as I had a mental Break down.

  'Why wasn't I more careful. Why was I soo reckless, DAMN IT! I should have known this world was different the moment I saw that FUCKING rabbit. WHY, why wasn't I more cautious!'

  "COLT" the assistant said darkly

  I wasn't in the right state of mind to listen to him. How could I?! I was Doomed.

  " .....I can help you but-" his voice was cut off by someone

  "I'm sorry for not getting here sooner!" Said a familiar voice.

  Looking up I saw the Phoenix in his human form, with the same majestic red robes.

  At the moment he was no different to an angel coming to save me.

  "Phoenix! Please I need help. Please! Please heal again. I'm begging you" I cried out desperately.

  "Colt I..." the Phoenix's face tightened "I'm sorry, I already told you I wouldn't be able to help you."

  'No this can't be!' I thought agusihly.

  "No please, you have to. Please" I begged

  "Well, there is a way I COULD help you" the phoenix said hesitantly.

  When the assistant heard this his purple sphere body brightened slighty before going back to normal.

  "Really! Please tell me. I need to know." I shouted.

  "Well if you mak-" the Phoenix began to say before being cut off

  "Who are you exactly, your not an angel or Eldritch God. You don't seem to be from the real world either" the assistant said in a harsh tone.

  I didn't care what the assistant had to say, I wasn't going to let this opportunity slide.

  "Shut the hell up. Your not the one whose body is fucking shattered!" I screamed angerly

  "Come on Colt. It's obvious that when someone helps you, they want something in return." Said the assistant.

  "Don't listen to him Phoenix, he doesn't speak for me. Just help me please" I pleaded.

  "Alright, I wi-" the Phoenix couldn't finish before the assistant had something else to say.

  "You first said how you weren't gonna help him, but now your saying there's a way you can. Now that's just sketchy." The assistant said. " You should have just told him from the beginning that you could of helped him"

  "Well I..." the Phoenix stopped talking.

  Slowly, I started to fade.

  "Wait no, I can't wake up like this. Help me Phoenix, please PLEASE!" I begged him.

  "...." the Phoenix only stared as I slowy faded away.

  "Noooooo!" I faded away.

  The only people left in the black abyss was the assistant and the Phoenix.

  "What exactly do you want." Said the Assistant.

  "I want him to find the fallen an-" The Phoenix’s eyes flashed as the Assistant interrupted him.

  "Bullshit. Maybe Colt can't see it but I can. Your not normal. You have this aura of amiability, but I sense it. You have this sinster aura under that damn friendly front you put out. Your lying about wanting to fix the corruption"

  ".....And what about you, 'Mr assistant'. You told him that 'I'm more of an assistant. You see, everyone else that was brought here all have something like me'. Said the Phoenix sarcastically.

  "You lied. I know what you really are." Said the Phoenix coldly.

  "I also know exactly what your planning. I'm telling you right now, you won't succeed" the Phoenix said harshly, while staring daggers into the 'assistant'.

  Slowy, the abyss was crumbling, becoming white.

  "It seems like he's waking up." Said the Phoenix.

  "It seems so"

  "You were stalling for time, weren't you?"

  "......" the assistant didn't respond.

  The entire abyss became white.
