Chapter 4: No One Will Be Let Off

Chapter 4: No One Will Be Let Off

Her life was in her own hands, not in the hands of these ancient people!

Wei Yuanwei originally pnned to stir up chaos in the Prime Minister’s residence, making those who had humiliated and wronged her pay a heavy price.

But now, what Wei Yuanwei had to do was to escape as quickly as possible!

She would naturally seek revenge, but for now, she had to escape the Evil King’s engagement first!

So, Wei Yuanwei quickly started preparing to flee!

However, this body had been confined in a horse-drawn cart for so long and was unfamiliar with the roads of the Prince’s residence. Plus, due to long-term malnutrition, Wei Yuanwei had no choice but to give up on climbing the walls and instead crawled out through a dog hole, using her body size to her advantage.

The previous Wei Yuanwei had truly spent too much time in the horse-drawn cart, making it hard for the recently transmigrated Wei Yuanwei to adapt to the outside world of the Prime Minister’s residence.

Although the world wasn't as prosperous as the modern one, the roads weren’t as wide, and the buildings weren’t as tall...

Why were there so many alleys in this ancient pce? They were so intricate and complex, with buildings that all looked the same, and there were no street numbers. She couldn’t find the exit of the alley at all, and after walking for a while, she found herself back where she started.

Finally, when Wei Yuanwei managed to walk out of the winding alleys and saw the bustling market, she let out a long sigh of relief.

She had to find a pce to hide quickly. As long as she could hide until tomorrow, she would be able to escape the Evil King’s engagement.

But after only walking a few steps, several servants with waist tokens from the Prime Minister’s residence appeared in front of her. Before Wei Yuanwei could even run, the servants swarmed and pinned her to the ground.

"Help! Murder! Rape! Kidnapping!" Wei Yuanwei immediately began shouting at the top of her lungs, using every word she could think of.

She thought that with so many people in the street, someone would surely step in to help.

But instead, they just stood there, watching, completely indifferent.

How could people be so cold in this ancient time? It’s even worse than in the modern world!

The servants pulled Wei Yuanwei up from the ground and immediately stuffed a cloth into her mouth. As she turned her head, she saw a luxurious carriage slowly driving by. The wind lifted the curtain, revealing a noble-looking man dressed in a purple robe, with a silver mask covering his face, sitting gracefully inside the carriage.

This person looked so much like the one she had saved st night!

Wei Yuanwei immediately tried to call out to him, but with the cloth in her mouth, all that came out were muffled sounds!

The wind stopped, and the lifted curtain slowly fell.

The carriage continued moving further away.

"Xuan Li, what just happened?" The man in the carriage seemed to have heard something.

"It seems like a maid from the Prime Minister's residence ran away, and the servants caught her and took her back!" Xuan Li observed that the servants all wore waist tokens from the Prime Minister’s residence. He hadn’t clearly seen the woman’s face, but from her general shape, she appeared to be a very small, frail maid from the Prime Minister’s household.

The Prime Minister’s residence... The man murmured these words, his tone faint, yet it carried a hint of depth.

  "The Prime Minister’s residence..."

"You wild child, you've really grown bold, running away like that?" As soon as Miss Seven saw Wei Yuanwei being dragged back by the servants, her anger fred. She immediately began cursing loudly.

Wei Yuanwei's mouth was still stuffed with cloth, preventing her from speaking, but her gaze at Miss Seven was especially terrifying.

When Miss Seven saw the usually cowardly and submissive Wei Yuanwei giving her such a look, and remembered how her own mother had caused her to be disliked by her father, forcing her to live in the firewood room for the rest of her life while she herself had to marry General Li and live as a widow, she became even angrier.

As usual, Miss Seven took off the hairpin from her head and was about to stab it into Wei Yuanwei's back, completely forgetting that the Prime Minister was standing behind her.

"Wei Linglong!" The Prime Minister shouted loudly.

Miss Seven reluctantly stopped, gring at Wei Yuanwei with hatred, wishing she could swallow her whole.

"Lock her in the firewood room and keep a close watch on her. Before the sedan is lifted into the Evil King's residence, she must not die, and she must not escape!" The Prime Minister ordered.

It seemed that he didn’t even want to look at Wei Yuanwei.

Wei Yuanwei’s eyes were red as she looked at everyone in the room, while the concubines, maids, young masters, and other members of the household all looked at her with expressions of ridicule, disdain, and amusement.

Wei Yuanwei's gaze quickly darkened with a hint of bloodthirst.

They had humiliated her before, abused her, treated her like a horse to be ridden and a dog to be led, stripping her in the cold winter and even urinating on her. The scenes were still vivid in her mind.

With her hands restrained by the servants, she tightly clenched her fists, and the broken nails dug sharply into her skin. However, she didn’t feel any pain.

"It seems that Wei Yuanwei has something to say!" The eldest aunt, who was sitting in the seat to the right and surrounded by pearls and jade, spoke with a smile.

Immediately, the cloth covering Wei Yuanwei's mouth was removed.

"You all wait for me!" As soon as the cloth was taken out of her mouth, a roar exploded from Wei Yuanwei’s chest.

The people in the room were momentarily stunned but remained unmoved, still looking at her with smiles, as if she were a fool.

These people would pay for this, one by one!

Now, she was Wei Yuanwei from the Prime Minister’s residence. The suffering, torment, and humiliation the original owner endured would be repaid to these people double-fold!

She would not spare any of them, not a single one!

"You wild child will soon become a wandering ghost!" Miss Seven, Wei Linglong, gritted her teeth and approached, spping Wei Yuanwei hard across the face. The impact left her hand slightly numb.

Wei Yuanwei was instantly dazed from the blow, her cheek burning with pain, followed by numbness.

"Spit!" Wei Yuanwei immediately spat at Wei Linglong. If her hands and feet weren't being restrained by the servants, she would have spped her back hard, her eyes burning with hatred as if she wanted to tear Wei Linglong apart.

"You..." Wei Linglong's eyes reddened, and she was about to raise her hand to strike again.

But before she could, Wei Yuanwei was dragged away by the servants and locked in the firewood room.

For the entire night, the firewood room was heavily guarded. The servants and guards seemed ready to gouge out their eyes and keep them on Wei Yuanwei, fearing that she might attempt to escape or commit suicide.

It wasn’t until the matchmaker arrived the next morning to dress Wei Yuanwei as a bride, putting her in bridal attire and sending her in a flower sedan that the Prime Minister’s residence finally breathed a sigh of relief.

It seemed the Emperor was also worried that the Prime Minister’s daughter might commit suicide in the bridal sedan, so he specifically arranged for the matchmaker to sit with Wei Yuanwei in the same sedan.

Wei Yuanwei was carried into the wedding hall by the matchmaker. Looking at the red carpet id on the floor, she found it ridiculous.

The decorations for the previous day's wedding to the fourth wife of the Evil King hadn’t been cleaned up, and now they were welcoming the fifth wife!

Just yesterday, they had celebrated the fourth wife’s wedding, and today, they were going to celebrate the fifth wife’s!
