In his time of need his trusty metal bat was past the portal and the little monster was not about to let him get to it. The goblin looked hungry and had dark beady eyes and an aggressive snarl. Well I guess there is only one logical way to solve this issue and that is to kick it into the wall.
With a very ambitious close out on the little creature and its momentum carrying towards him his foot connected perfectly and sailed the creature into the far side wall with a sickening crunch that did not look like it agreed with his drywall.
Immediately he saw his second notification.

Then just as he hoped more goblins started coming through the portal. One by one they all received a quick bashing with his recently acquired bat or a three year varsity kicker quality kick into the wall.

With that problem solved he noticed his second major issue. All the bodies were cluttering up his bedroom. Even cat sized bodies could mess up the vibes of an enclosed space.
Not to mention the potential germs and the bugs they could attract. It was slowly dawning on him that this was not a dream. No dream would be so fun as to let him punt mini goblins against the wall but leave the bodies around to clutter up his decor.
With this in mind he realized he would finally see a benefit of living in an apartment building overlooking the James river.
So he opened up the door to his patio and just started yeeting the little menaces that way. Without fail the little creatures would agro on him run in a crazed mindless sprint towards him and he would just kick them straight out the window.
