“Where's my baby?” Miya yelled. Everyone on the bus turned to look at the lady making noise.
She turned at the person who sat next to her. The baby rested on her thighs. She spotted the golden ring on her left finger. It had her father's name engraved on it.
“Mother?” she called. She didn't expect to meet her mother at the place. Where was she going? Was she going to see her sister?
Miya's sister was well off. She lived in a high-end estate opposite them in Kaa City. They were in opposite worlds. Wilson united them in work. But when people got to Kaa they were never the same.
“My daughter, I'm sorry for what that ruthless guy did to you,” the lady said pitifully.
“Helena, if your daughter had listened and dumped the guy. "She wouldn't be facing this,” another lady who was with her mother commented.
“I can't wait to meet that guy of yours. Since that cheap wedding of yours, we haven't seen him again,” Helena said.
Miya didn't say anything. She waited for the perfect moment to strike. She couldn't defend herself against those women who were obsessed with wealth.
“What shall this boy inherit? Poverty?” Helena said.
Miya's heart couldn't stand it. Yes, she was poor, but that didn't mean to be looked down on. She thought an advanced world didn't divide people according to wealth. She was wrong. Wealth dictated everything in any society. Respect was wealth.
“Your baby is so cute, but why golden hair? The last time I saw your husband he had gray eyes. "Where do this blue eyes come from?” The other woman said.
Miya had no words to defend herself. Even she couldn't defend herself. She remembered the moment at the hospital. Her husband didn't really see the baby. The nurse deliberately did that. She didn't want to stir up trouble. The baby didn't match any of its parents.
“It seems we are talking at a rock. "Nature does its own thing,” Helena said and sighed. The other lady sneered and they changed the topic.
The bus drives to downtown out of Wilson. It headed east. Kaa City residences were not so far. It was twenty kilometers from Wilson. They passed past the road that headed to the hill of Snow. The largest tourist attraction in the world.
Soon the journey was over. They were at the Kaa bus stage. The bus parked and stopped. There were also many people. Others were chatting. Others eat snacks. And others running.
When they got off the bus, everyone cleared the way. It was like a queen's convoy passing. Helena and her friend were surprised about this. Why that welcome? Were there government officials on the bus?
When they looked back, there was no one there. They were the last people to get from the bus.
“What a welcome!” Helena's friend exclaimed.

“The luckiest woman on earth,” murmurs could be heard.
“Everything is possible, even when science says it's 0%,” others said. They all looked at her. They walked confidently till the exit of the bus station.
Helena gasped and asked, “What's really going on?”
Miya smiled at her and said, “I'm also clueless. I was laid in Wilson hospital, so when I got out, I found things like this.”
Helena was surprised. Her nerves itched.
“General Charles didn't die?” she thought. Then she thought of the horror her daughter had been through. According to the hospital, she was starving. Her life towards the birth of the child had turned into misery. Her eyes blinked in pity, as anger boiled up in her. She made hard footsteps throughout the remaining journey.
They entered the Northern part of Kaa Residence. That was for the poor and middle class. It was the countryside in the City. Smells of dung could be felt. Most homes were fenced with iron sheets or barbed wire. Only a few had flowers and cypress.
“My daughter, see the kind of life you put yourself into,” Helena said. As usual, Miya never let her remarks dissolve into her. They entered one ear and left through the other.
Finally, they reached home number 23B. Miya stared at the gate in a daze. Two weeks ago, a rusty noisy gate made of iron sheets stood there. Now an expensive black automatic iron gate stood in front of them.
“So you are rich people hiding among the poor?” Helena's friend said. Miya didn't talk much. She nodded.
Then the gate opened. A giant stood there. Traces of his muscular chest could be seen under his T-shirt. He had even clean-shaven his head.
“Surprise!” Miya said.
Rajel was slapped. The slap was so strong that he lost balance and landed on one side of his body. In his dizziness he saw a fiery aura around the person's hand. The person was a witch. That was a magic slap. And if he was a normal human being, death would catch him in a week. Luckily he wasn't.
“Mother, why did you hit him?” Miya yelled at her.
“I'm teaching him a lesson about hurting you. "Useless man!” Helena said. The other lady handed the baby to Miya and turned to leave.
Just as the two were about to leave, they heard a deep voice from behind.
“That was quite a great surprise. Tomorrow there'll be the baby's naming ceremony. Don't forget to come with gifts,” was a cheerful voice from Rajel. He didn't react to the slap at all.
“Are you sure that the baby is yours? Have you ever seen it?” Helena asked, her voice filled with disgust. She had contempt for men, but for Rajel she placed it the highest.
Rajel shook his head. He had never seen the baby. To him, crafting lies was a sweaty job. Sometimes his teeth shook when he told lies. So he always remained silent and nodded or shook his head, leaving the people with questions.
“That’s why you neglected her when she was pregnant. Do you know that your baby has golden hair and blue eyes?”
“Blue eyes?” Rajel asked in amazement. Then he began hitting his chest.
“Is that anger of being played on? Or is it happiness?” Helena's friend asked as they broke into laughter.
“No, the baby is mine,” Rajel roared.
“Then why the anger?” Helena asked.
“I told you the baby is mine!”
“Stop disturbing the neighborhood with your voice!” Helena yelled back. She even threw her purse at him.
“I thought it was a walk in the park, but he was born as a powerful guardian. I've lost my position,” he thought as his anger boiled up.
Rajel felt the anger was getting out of control. If he let it build more, he would explode. The whole place would lie flat. He had to do something to calm it.
The purse was still in the air. He dived like a goalkeeper. Caught it. And laid on the ground. Then he exhaled. All the anger left him. He felt at ease again. Then there was a hooting sound.
General Charles came out of the car. Rajel saw him. He looked at Helena. Then a moment four years back came into his mind. He then touched his cheeks. Though his face was hard, he could feel her fingers that were on his face. They resembled what he felt on someone's face years ago.
“Was Helena responsible for the death of her own husband?” he thought.
He then roared, “Everyone, get inside. I'll remain with Helena. She has to tell me why she slapped me in the first place!”
“I thought it was over,” Miya said hesitantly.
“Get in now!” he roared at the top of his voice.
