Chunk! - ching! - Chunk!

  The train has been moving for close to 3 hours since we left the Village of Unify.

  Pay smiles and softly says to me: "look at the horizon." She points at a direction, out the window.

  I see pink birds flying as a flock, descending down a valley.

  Whist I was thinking, the train put on the brakes- "Scree! Scree! Scree! "

  The announcement came; "You have arrived at Lake Janis! , Yu have arrived at Lake Janis Station!"

  Pat lead us through a flight of stairs at the back of the station. I look at the sky, it was getting dark. I wonder how do people here tell the time. I didn't see anyone with a clock.

  As we walk on a path that is on a hill, I see flying lights ahead. They look so bright and they keep blinking in a pattern-like manner.

  I suddenly ask Dad; "What are those? they seem to be glowing!"

  "They are called; fireflies, insects that are able to create light. It's called bio-lumiscence" - Dad's voice sounded admist the sounds of crickets.

  We reach a field with horse carriages, immediately Pat whistles with her fingers on her lips- Whee! whee!.

  She waits and looks around, neighing sounds surround us. I am shocked at this scene; An an adult black horse (stallion) comes galloping along with one white horse and two brown ones.

  They immediately gather around Pat, I look on amazed that this began with a simple conversation. Pat brushes the horses as she does some weird gestures and sounds, the horses immediately take formation, two by two.

  Pat asks me help her connect the closest carriage to the horses, as I am about to go, a hand holds my shoulder; I look back, it's dad.

  "Tom, all the inhabitants can communicate to animals. I hope you use your discretion when you are with her." Dad has a serious look on his face, whereas mom is looking at something in the distance.

  "I understand dad, don't worry I won't ask her about it." I said nodding.

  As I helped Pat, m parents joined us. We got on the carriage as Pat kept whistling. making weird sounds, and gestures. The horses seem to have understood her, they started moving at fast speeds.

  The ride was bumpy, I asked Pat- "what is the rush?"

  "You don't want to miss my mom's cooking, when the flamingos descend the valley, Mom starts cooking!" Pat said as she patted my shoulder.

  I immediately understood how she tells the time, they use the natural rythms like the migration pattern of the birds. Wow a world without modern technology huh? I wonder how dad built this world.

  I was bored leaning against the carriages window, as the four horses rushed towards a path between a forest. I saw a shadow move in the tress, I got up. "What! was that?" I immediately asked.

  Everyone raises their heads, I look on carefully and I see a tiger stalking us, as I try to point it, swifly it dived in the vegetation.

  "What did you see Thomas!?" Asked Pat, evidentity agitated.

  I immediately yelled;

  "Pat make the horses move faster, a Tiger is stalking us!"
