The rules of the Kyoto Goodwill Event had changed.
Thanks to my… timely foresight (or "ball-sense" as Gojo called it), Jujutsu High had prepared for the surprise attack. No more point-based games. The competition had shifted to pure survival.
Real curses. Real danger. Real consequences.

The Battle Begins
Megumi and I met with Aoi Todo behind the trees, the scent of cursed energy thick in the air. We knew what was coming.
Hanami.
The cursed spirit of nature.
Black vines like barbed wire slithered through the air. It moved with silent menace, its presence crushing.
Juzo Kumiya, that stitched-up psycho, lunged toward Principal Gakuganji, blade in hand—but Gojo was already watching that fight from afar. Our job was clear:
Take down Hanami.
I rushed forward.
No hesitation.
I jumped onto Hanami’s shoulders, grabbing the cursed branches protruding from its eyes. It roared—like a tree howling—and I ripped them out, snapping the weakened roots in one pull.
“BLACK FLASH!”
My punch landed like a meteor, exploding with red and black lightning.
Hanami staggered back, wounded but still deadly.
It sent a volley of spikes toward Todo—but he clapped.
Boogie Woogie.
Hanami teleported into the path of its own attack, impaled by its own thorns.
Todo grinned. “Your attacks hurt, flower boy.”
We charged in.

The Fight: Hanami vs Me, Megumi, and Todo
Hanami extended its cursed roots into the ground, triggering an explosive bloom of plant-based cursed energy. Megumi summoned Max Elephant, dousing the field in water to slow the roots’ movement.
Then, the shadows stirred.
Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General: Mahoraga was still off-limits.
But Megumi was still dangerous.
Nue struck from the air. Toad latched onto Hanami’s leg. Great Serpent coiled around its torso.
Todo clapped—again and again—swapping us around, disorienting Hanami while keeping us alive.
I blurred forward, fists ready.
“BLACK FLASH!”
First hit: right into its ribs.
“BLACK FLASH!”

Second hit: uppercut under the jaw.
Hanami wailed, launching vines to crush me. But Megumi’s Divine Dogs pounced, biting chunks from its body.
Todo delivered a full-force axe kick. Hanami staggered. I took the chance—
“BLACK FLASH!!”
My third of the fight.
Cracks spread through Hanami’s core.
Then… a ripple in the sky.
Gojo arrived.
Floating. Calm.
And terrifying.

“Guess I’ll Be Rough This Time”
Gojo looked down and smiled.
"GUESS I’LL BE ROUGH THIS TIME!" he shouted, echoing across the battlefield.
Then, quieter—like a prayer:
“9 Ropes Polarized Light Crow and Declaration Between Front and Back.”
He didn’t need to go all out.
But he went 200%.
Just to be safe.
“Hollow Purple.”
A purple sphere spun, compressed, and then—
BOOOOM.
A beam like a planet’s wrath tore through the sky.
Hanami was obliterated.
Gone.
Dust on the wind.

The Baseball Game
Next day, Gojo was back to trolling.
“Tomorrow’s match will be a baseball game. Winner takes all.”
No more curses. Just balls, bats, and bragging rights.
It was close—painfully close—but thanks to Panda’s home run, Nobara’s trash talk, and Inumaki yelling “Tuna Mayo” to paralyze a runner, we barely won.
Victory by one run.
Gojo danced in celebration.
I flexed my new student ID.
Grade 1 Sorcerer.
Same as Megumi.
Finally.
---
Bridge of Death
Training resumed—until we were called for a new mission.
A series of deaths linked to automatic doors.
We traced the victims.
All from Megumi’s middle school.
His sister had gone there too.
I remembered something.
Pulled the classic “530,000 IQ” move.
“There’s a bridge nearby that was a popular spot for bungee jumping. All the victims jumped from there. We should investigate the bridge.”
We did.
And what we found split us up.
---
Megumi vs Finger Bearer
The Finger Bearer slithered out of the mist, grotesque and howling.
Megumi’s face went cold.
“You guys handle the blood brothers. I’ll take care of this one.”
He stepped forward, hands forming a familiar sign.
“Domain Expansion: Chimera Shadow Garden.”
The field shifted.
Shadows expanded like water.
The Finger Bearer screeched—but Megumi was merciless.
Divine Dogs. Toad. Nue. Elephant.
Each attacked in sync.
And then—
A shadow spike pierced the curse’s heart.
Game over.

Me and Nobara vs the Death Painting Brothers
Me and Nobara faced Eso and Kechizu, twisted humanoids dripping with corrosive blood.
Their cursed blood hissed against the concrete.
“You take left,” I said. “I’ll go ham.”
“Try not to die.”
“BLACK FLASH!!”
My fist struck Kechizu like thunder. He reeled back, spewing black ichor.
Eso launched blood arrows—but Nobara spun, dodged, and struck her nails into his leg.
“Resonance!”
Arrows exploded from Eso’s body as his own cursed blood betrayed him.
I moved in, lightning lacing my fists.
“BLACK FLASH!!”“BLACK FLASH!!”“BLACK FLASH!!!”
Four in total.
Their bodies shattered.
But the death paintings—the real cores—remained intact.
I grabbed them.
And I ate them.
Raw.
Power surged.
Another step closer.
---
Aftermath
Megumi returned and tossed me a Sukuna finger.
“Don’t eat this yet.”
But Sukuna had other plans.
Mouth on my palm: chomp.
“Asshole,” I muttered.
“HEY I WAS HUNGRY!” Sukuna shouted.
We walked back to Jujutsu High with tired smiles.
Megumi’s sister was safe.
The deaths had stopped.
And I had found a new path to power.
More dangerous than anything before…
But I was ready.
