Really?!

Hyeong-Kim scoffed. "I already said I'm not a warrior. You got the wrong guy."

"Really? I don't believe I'm mistaken. I can sense powerful magic waiting to be awakened within you." The book replied,it's tone almost snooty. "I sense powerful blood within you."

  "...You don't believe me,do you?"

"No, I don’t. Alright, where are the cameras? Am I on a prank show or something?" Hyeong crossed his arms defiantly, looking around as if expecting prank YouTubers to leap out from nowhere shouting, "You just got punked!" or whatever catchphrase they used on their ptform. The absurdity of the situation was too much to take seriously. The book's tone only added to the absurdity, as if it were apart of the prank too. To demonstatrate his willpower,Hyeong plopped on the floor.

"What are you doing?" The book looked slightly angry, aggravated even.

What do you think i'm doing?

Hyeong had the thought but didn't say it out loud. He "I'm waiting."

  "For what,exactly?"

"For the Youtubers to jump out." Hyeong said defiantly.

"..." The book stared at him bnkly in silence, as if processing Hyeong's response. The pages fluttered slightly, wisps of yellow dust emitting from it. “You really think this is all a joke?”

Hyeong shrugged, still sitting cross-legged on the floor. “Why else would a talking book be in my basement? If this isn’t a setup, I must have hit my head or something."

The book huffed, a sound that was robotic-like. “I assure you, this is no prank. The magic within you is real, and it needs to be awakened. This is far more important than any trivial entertainment.”

“Right, and I’m just a regur guy,” Hyeong smirked, “What do I know about magic? You expect me to believe you’re some ancient artifact or something?”

“Yes,” the book replied, its voice firm. “And if you would just stop arguing and listen, you might learn something invaluable.”

Hyeong paused, his curiosity was piqued now. The book sounded frusturated, but there was a hint of urgancy in it's tone. There still could be youtubers trying to make this believable. “Alright, fine," he said, rexing a bit. “What do you want from me?”

“Your willingness,” the book replied, its pages slowly turning. “Magic requires belief and intention. If you want to access the power within you, you must first accept that it exists.”

"..."Hyeong eyed the book suspiciously. It could still have a invisible string attached to it,even if it appeared to be floating.

I don't see or detect anything suspicious. But I still can't trust this book.

You can trust me, don't worry.

Hyeong jolted at the sudden robotic voice echoing in his head."What the—? Who said that?" he looked around frantically, but the room was still empty except for himself and the book.

“It’s me,” the book replied, its tone still aggravated, but calm in a way."Now do you believe this is not joke?"

Hyeong swallowed hard, still disorientated and confused. Maybe this wasn’t a prank after all.

Of course it's not a prank.

Hyeong flinched a little. I feel like i'm going to have to get used to that. He made sure he hid that thought from the book. "Ok-maybe this isn't a prank. But I still don't understand what your saying about me being a warrior."

The book sighed. "I thought I told you, you have powerful blood within you. If you insist, like the fool you are,let me tell you the truth."

  "I'm not a fool!-"

"Silence!" the book's voice boomed. "Let me start the story."

  Oh,great.
