Nine stone pillars. The very foundation of the God-Eye Sect. Ten thousand years ago. A genius never before seen in history appeared. Some knew him by the name 'Anon Amos'. But there was a name most dare not say.
The legend was said that he came from another world with his physical body!
The real name of this legend was 'Axiom'.
The disciples of the sect all cultivated a mysterious technique called the 'Eyes of God'. It is speculated that the genius who founded this sect had the ability to peer into the future. Despite six other sects targeting him. He always seemed to be able to escape death.
It was as if the very universe itself helped him.
He quickly rose from a mere mortal to a god transformation cultivator. But time is very cruel, given enough of it... even immortals will fall.
The world was massive in scale and there were many forbidden areas. It is no exaggeration to say that the area Axiom conquered was but a drop in the bucket.
His name and legend had spread all around this area however.
A Qi Condensation cultivator has a lifespan of a 150 years.
A foundation establishment cultivator has a lifespan of 300 years.
A golden core cultivator has a lifespan of 800 years.
A nascent soul cultivator has a lifespan of 3,000 years.
Axiom advanced as easily as one would drink water. It seemed effortless, and his presence proved to put pressure on the other sects. He had tapped into a realm so legendary that the world he resided in lacked a proper name.
Axiom named this realm 'God Transformation'.
A lifespan of over ten thousand years!
But this was his limit. His talent was otherworldly. But you can not raise a dragon in a pond. The very laws of his world refused to allow him to go on a further path.
Nascent soul was the limit of this world. He had already broken the rules.
Axiom had a very weird temperament. As he 'grew up'. The tales and history recorded showed that he seemed to have no fear of death. He would walk in forbidden areas that could kill even nascent souls as if it was his backyard.
This was while he was merely a foundation establishment cultivator! He could basically rampage sideways in the world after reaching golden core.
Whether it be talismans, formations, alchemy, or weapon refining.
He was a master.
This greatly shocked everyone. He wasn't a genius. He was a monster! But there was one weird habit that he had that baffled his descendants and the world.
It was once leaked that he was looking for a 'true death'.
Nobody knew what this meant. But isn't death easy? Why not just commit suicide? This put a cover of mystery over Axiom. He always predicted disasters before they happened.
When he founded the God-Eye Sect.
It was with the intention to pass down his inheritance.
His lifespan as a god transformation cultivator had reached its limits.
Surrounded by friends, family, and important officials.
Axiom's last words were...
"FUCK! Why can't I die?"
These words confused everyone. Then all sorts of runes lit themselves across his body. The facial expressions of everyone in the room changed at this moment. A sense of crisis emerged in their hearts.
"He's going to blow up!"
Everyone evacuated as if their lives depended on it.
The formation over the sect prevented most of the damage.
His body that was invulnerable to fire and weapons was vaporized. A mental message was sent out. In the mind's of everyone in the sect.
They heard his last message.
It was filled with laughter and joy.
"After infinite lives... I can finally die!"
"The curse ends here..."
The echo faded and the last words were but a whisper. But then it was as if time stopped. It started to reverse-
In a unknown place. A godhead nascent soul appeared outside of reality. Their eyes looked bloodshot. They looked as if they were struggling deeply.
They were grasping infinity. They were grasping time.
The final inheritance...
Some of the essence of a god transformation cultivator. It was left in the ninth pillar of the God-Eye Sect!
It was as if some invisible barrier had shattered.
Axiom experienced a true death.
He was extremely satisfied with his life.
It was almost as if Axiom had infinite time. It was reported that when he 'studied' a new art. Whether it be puppeteering or talismans. He mastered it in seemingly an instant.
He was quite domineering and had studied countless mysteries... all to accomplish his goal.
Death!
It was theorized that he used his 'Eyes of God' technique to peer into a future where he had already mastered the information. This paradoxical thinking was spread all throughout his world.
"Don't forget! You only get one chance to comprehend a dao..."
"If you waste this opportunity. You have nobody but yourself to blame!"
A piece of chalk was launched at Anos. He had previously been sleeping. He found such lectures to be boring and he didn't take them too seriously.
He was an outer-sect disciple. His parents had been born without spiritual roots and were overjoyed for their child to have the chance to walk the path of immortality.
He was tested for spiritual roots before he could even remember.
He had five element spiritual roots. This was considered the worst kind. But compared to not having any, it was heavenly! He was excited at first.
On his fifth birthday. He left his parents in the town managed by the God-Eye Sect and entered the real sect. Of course, he was just an outer-sect disciple.
But his status from that point made him a god compared to mortals.
It took him three months to become a cultivator.
His fellow sect members. Despite being the same age as him. They progressed at a faster rate. Some became cultivators after a single month.
They were the ones whose spiritual roots were just double or triple elements. There was even a genius in his class that broke through to Qi Condensation after five days.
He had a single fire element spiritual root.
Anos was now ten years old.
Things happened to align and it was time for him to choose a 'path' or 'dao'.
There was a pavilion in the sect that contained countless techniques, martial arts, and skills. But it required contribution points to even enter.
Beyond that. There were nine stone pillars engraved with techniques by the very ancestor himself in a secret realm. There was a certain amount of destiny and magical power imbued within them.
Help support creative writers by finding and reading their stories on the original site.
The problem was that this power was siphoned and weakened each time someone comprehended something. Luckily, the founding ancestor was a genius and the stones repaired themselves.
It just took time.
This was why you only got one chance in your life to observe these precious artifacts.
The lecture was over and Anos was happy to leave and head to his cave. The inside only had a cushion for him to sit on. There was no real light source and it was a bit simple.
Anos didn't have a storage bag or anything like that. But the sect taught him that you should limit your earthly possessions. So he only carried a pill bottle on him as well as the pendent that proved his identity as a disciple.
This served both as a sort of ID and as protection against the formation.
Qi Condensation cultivators aren't at the level of being able to survive off of spiritual energy alone. But some alchemist can concoct pills that when taken can make you not need food or water for a certain amount of time depending on the grade of pill.
As an outer-sect disciple. Anos got 6 pills a year. The reason for this was body cultivation. It could impede the development of children if they relied purely on the pills to sustain themselves.
Of course, the resources allocated to you increased with your cultivation level. When Anos was a mortal. All he got was a voucher for food at the dining hall.
So it was expected for the disciples to hunt wild beast or buy food themselves. At least until they were fully developed and didn't have to worry about messing up their development.
Anos sat on his cushion and started to cultivate.
After four hours, he passed out from the boredom.
His pendent started to shake and woke him up.
"Is it time?"
Anos was a bit anxious. He had talked with his seniors and knew that this was one of the biggest moments in ones life. His potential and whether or not he could be useful to the sect would all depend on how he performed when comprehending the pillars left by the ancestor.
Anos walked to a sealed off part of the sect in a line with his classmates.
A foundation establishment cultivator pulled out a boat and flew them up to the pocket dimension. The spiritual sense of a powerful cultivator checked them to make sure they weren't spies or hiding secrets.
Soon. Anos was inside the secret realm!
"There are nine pillars. You have 10 days..."
The cultivator left them alone. As for whether or not they would do something foolish? These pillars were made by Axiom! They were almost impervious to any form of attack.
Good luck trying to cause trouble here!
Anos walked to the first pillar. He knew how to read, but he didn't understand the runes written on these pillars at all. He even felt a creepy feeling crawling on his skin as he moved his eyes along the lines.
A few hours passed and he felt nothing!
Anos figured he didn't have destiny with this pillar, so he went to the next one.
The nine pillars all had names.
'One is Ten' was the one Anos felt nothing when reading.
'Animaxiom' was the second pillar.
'Foedus Pacts' was the third pillar.
'Artis Crafts' was the fourth pillar.
'Necro Mort' was the fifth pillar.
'Ventus Elements' was the sixth pillar
'Deus Spirit' was the seventh pillar.
'God-Eye' was the eighth pillar.
You then had one more pillar that was the most mysterious!
'Axiom' was the ninth pillar!
Over the last few thousand years. The effects of the pillars had been heavily studied.
'One is Ten' was said to be an illusion inheritance!
'Animaxiom' was said to be a hexagonal warrior inheritance. What did this mean? It allowed one to pull of insane supernatural feats. Those enlightened by it had much stronger souls. They also generated a special energy by themselves that was otherworldly and was speculated to be the energy source Axiom had brought from another world!
'Foedus Pacts' taught the user how to form contracts with beast and humans! Don't underestimate this power. It was like a devils contract. But the user was the devil in this case!
'Artis Crafts' was an auxiliary inheritance. It helped boost comprehension in things like formations and talismans.
'Necro Mort' was an inheritance some considered evil. It had to do with the study of soul and necromancy.
'Ventus Elements' was an inheritance that allowed the user to control all elements based on comprehension.
'Deus Spirit' was an inheritance that taught many longevity skills and those who were enlightened by it often lived 50 years longer then the expected lifespan of their level.
'God-Eye' was an inheritance that taught divination. It could allow one to peer into the future and see all cause and effect.
You then had 'Axiom'. This was named after the legend himself. Nobody had managed to comprehend it in the entire time these pillars had been standing.
You might wonder. Why not comprehend multiple pillars? The saying was that you didn't choose the pillar. It chose you! Once you connected fully with a pillar and entered the illusion to learn.
Afterwards, the restrictions on the dimension would kick you out.
If you took more then ten days to connect with a pillar. Then this opportunity would be one you would regret for your entire life! Of course, this was the inheritance of the sect. Outsiders weren't allowed into this dimension at all.
Anos tried the first eight pillars. But he didn't feel any resonance with them. He didn't enter an illusion and learn their secrets. The sect knew that everyone saw a different illusion and learned different information.
Some learned a lot. While others only learned useless information.
Anos felt he was going to disappoint his ancestors...
Anos breathed in with a breath of determination and he walked to an empty pillar. Nobody had even bothered to try the ninth pillar. Some people thought it was just a joke from Axiom.
Nobody had ever managed to attain the dao within.
Anos felt he might be the lottery winner. He might be the chosen one! But his dreams were soon destroyed. The result was the same. No reaction.
The ten days were soon up and it was time to be expelled from the pocket dimension. Those that had successfully comprehended something had already been sent out by the restrictions.
Anos wasn't alone however.
There were three other people.
This was out of fifty in this batch.
Anos felt like a disappointment. But something unexpected happened. The foundation establishment cultivator appeared in front of the exit covered in wounds. He looked like a bloody man.
"Attack! We are be-"
His head rolled of his body and his body dropped to the ground.
A old man with white hair was floating in the sky above him.
"Hahaha! I told you I would come to settle this debt. It only took 500 years. But that bastard is dead."
"Now the core inheritance of the God-Eye Sect is mine!"
The man then noticed he wasn't alone.
"Oh? I don't know whether you are lucky or cursed."
"I wiped out your sect..."
The man observed the reactions of the children below him. Anos felt confused. All of this felt like a dream... was it some sort of test? But...
This was too real!
The man flicked his fingers and without any warning. One of the disciples turned into a bloody paste. The pillar was covered in their organs and shattered bones.
Anos backed up from his position and soon found that he couldn't go back any further. The fear of death overwhelmed his mind. The pillar 'Axiom' blocked him. He could go no further.
The man flicked his fingers again and Anos didn't even feel any pain. It all happened too fast.
The 'Axiom' pillar was covered in his organs and shattered bones. His skull had been smashed open and he had died in almost an instant.
The man observed the situation to make sure there were no further traps. He had actually almost fallen to the formation that protected the sect. He was running out of spiritual energy and was a bit weakened.
"Their mine! I will become the new legend!"
The man couldn't wait to learn all the secrets of the god transformation cultivator. He was just a nascent soul. He wanted to see a larger world. He knew that Axiom came from another world. He believed the secret of multiversal travel could be found in this sect.
He had been planning this for nearly five hundred years. He had even waited quite awhile after Axiom's death to implement this plan.
But what he didn't notice was the ninth pillar. It was covered in Anos's blood. The blood seeped down the runes and the the magic that was etched into the formation seemed to react to something.
Cracks then appeared over the 'Axiom' pillar and it collapsed.
The man in the sky frowned at this development.
Anos felt himself covered in darkness. He couldn't see anything or feel anything. It was as if his consciousness itself was the only thing that existed.

Anos wasn't sure what was happening. He felt oddly calm in this scenario however. He felt at peace...
"Is this death?"
"It is... nice."
[Seal of Axiom]
"Seal of Axiom?"
Anos then saw lines of color flashing past him. He could see his hands, but it looked as if he was hallow. But within this hallowness was a universe.
He waved his hands and felt as if he could manipulate this reality.
It was as if he had another sense. He could 'feel' his soul. He felt something amazing. It was as if he could warp reality. But this feeling was fleeting. He felt if he didn't grasp it.
He would soon lose it.
The colors flashing past him formed a sort of rainbow hallway.
He saw a colorful hourglass at the end of it.
But he felt it was too far.
The hourglass shattered and moved towards him in an instant.
He heard a voice in his mind. A voice that wasn't his...
"What is your desire?"
Anos thought about his life up until this point. He was only ten years old. He wasn't prepared for such a question. As he was thinking, he felt crisis.
He felt like he had to be in a rush. It was as if whatever entity had saved him wasn't doing so out of kindness.
"I don't want to die!"
"So... you want immortality?"
"Uhhh..."
Anos wasn't very decisive. He thought about immortality. If he lived for too long. Wouldn't he be leaving everything behind eventually? What if some disaster happened and he was trapped alone forever? What would he do then?
"I don't want immortality!"
"WhaT dO YoU wAnT!?"
The voice started to sound evil.
Anos thought about his life up until this point.
He hadn't seen the world. He had spent all his time in isolation. This was his regret when he thought he was going to die.
"I want... to explore the world..."
There was a heavy silence.
The voice then spoke in a normal tone:
"Very good..."
It faded into the background and Anos felt something wrap around his soul.
[Seal of Axiom] was transforming into some other type of power. For a brief second. He felt a lot of different abilities.
1.) anima reservoir (storage)
2.) anima generator (generator)
3.) anima manipulator (aux)
4.) anima ward (soul guard)
5.) anima leap (time leap)
6.) anima transmit (teleport)
7.) anima revive (rise)
But these things were destroyed and then reconstructed. A entirely new power was being created.
[Eternal Incarnation]
A supernatural power had wrapped around Anos's soul.
