Prologue – Wrong World

  I died.

Or, at least, that was the way it?seemed to me.

It wasn’t dramatic. No truck-kun. No explosion.

One minute I?was in my room half-asleep, a bag of chips crushed under my arm and anime credits rolling across my monitor. The next, I was falling.

Falling in that old school,?gravity-pulled, vertical sense. Wind in my ears,?hoodie flapping like a parachute of regret.

I didn’t even scream. Mostly because I was too confused to process what the hell was going on.

And then I hit the ground.

I woke up to some type of ancient ruin. Cracked pillars. Glowing moss. The air was so dry it hurt to breathe.

  Then a voice spoke.

  [System Initializing.]

Initially, I believed I was dreaming.

  Then text materialized in sight:

User: Han Jihoon. System Binding: Forced.

[System: YOU CAN'T HANDLE MY POWER.exe installed successfully.]

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

Warning: side effects include death, confusion, sarcasm, and dramatic plot twists.

I sat there blinking and wondering one thing:

What kind of dumb name is that?

And the floor creaked beneath me.

There was a burst of flames along the walls. A pillar collapsed a mere inch away from my head. The whole building seemed to have waited ages to fall to pieces the instant I entered.

  Tutorial: Survive.

  Of course.

I don't recall fleeing. Just running.

My body acted before my head was thinking. In between dodging flames and almost getting flattened, I went black once more.

  I wasn't alone when I awoke.

He seemed human. Older. Calm. But there was something about him that was different.

As though he wasn't of this world.

Or perhaps he was, and I was the foreign object.

"I found you amusing," he said. "So I let you live."

  “…Thanks?”

He looked at me for a moment. "You're not from here. But you're not completely out of place either. What are you?"

  I didn't respond. Primarily because I didn't have a clue.

  [NEW QUEST: Say Something Smart.]

  I ignored that.

He didn't push. He observed me like I was a bug that was never updated.

"I’ll take you to the Academy," he said. "You'll pretend to be a hybrid. No one will ask questions. Not if I say so."

  And that was it.

  No grand prophecy. No fate.

Just bad luck, a sarcastic system, and a guy who fell into the wrong world.

  ?? Author's Note

  Thanks for reading the prologue!

This isn’t a story about a chosen hero. Jihoon’s just a stubborn human who landed in the wrong world… with the wrong system.

Dragons, sarcasm, and chaos incoming. Stick around — it gets wild.
