I open my eyes to see a bright violet sky above me. I hear a familiar voice “Please complete task, break free from (Not available) using only your new body” “No time limit” “Now introducing rewards and penalties.”

  The voice continued “Reward faster growth, open status panel and plus one to all stats” “Penalties slower growth status panel locked and negative stats”

  As soon as the voice finished before I even get to ask it any questions. I suddenly feel like I’m being torn in two. I look down to see a vast forest beneath me, my body crashing down towards the forest floor. Before I know it, I see a blue and purplish egg, and my body is heading towards it.

  I blink “that egg isn’t broken?” I look around to figure out my surroundings but I quickly realize I cannot see. as I focus on my other senses, my hearing, my touch, and my smell. I hear numerous other beasts in the forest, I reach out what I thought to be my hand. I was wrong I have paws now.

  I continue to reach out to feel a soft yet hard barrier around me. “I am guessing this egg is what I must break out of.” I wriggle around to try to break the egg shell. The sounds of the forest grow louder as cracks form in front of my face letting a warm heat in from the forest.

  I move more and more “Finally I am getting somewhere!” I hear a big crack as I smell more of the forest through my nose. I am FINALLY FREE! I say in my head as I hear a small howl from my throat.

  “You have completed the task break free from (the egg) using only your new body.” Reward faster growth, open status panel, and plus one to all stats.”

  “Alright! Open status window!” I say, the window opening but I soon stop in that moment I sense a huge presence at least ten times my size.

  The next moment I feel a tongue on my cheek, “Is it my mother or father?” My body instinctively untenses as I feel a cold nose touch my forehead. “Little Chimera is, okay?” A voice says. I can feel myself purring whining in response. “I’m okay.” I reply.

  “Now time to feed.” The voice responds as I feel myself getting picked up by the scruff of my neck. This feels nice I say to myself as I fall asleep.

  Time passed I feel like a year has passed. In that time, I have gotten used to my oversized paws, tiny wings, my big feeling head and my eye sight returned. My parent has never left my side in the meantime.

  She was what you see in a typical Chimera a head and front part of a lion, another head this is a goat in the middle of her back with dragon wings and a tail with a snake’s head. These past few months I have not seen her breath fire but she has such an intimating aura that she wouldn’t need it.

  I also found that I didn’t have to shout open status window. I could just think it and it happened. The window showed my status but it didn’t show health or mana in points it just showed my status if I was in good health, and fatigue. It showed how strong, fast, and some skills. Going thru the skills most happened automatically, if I raised my paws in a certain way, I could cut something. I tried to access my magic but an alert kept saying for other self only. I guess its of not important right now.

  My parent let out a little growl.

  My parent leans “Little Chimera, it is time.”

  “Time for what?” I give a little whine in response.

  “For you to hunt.” She said pushing me off a small cliff.

  My mother grew smaller and smaller as I fall closer to the ground, the familiar ding rings in my ears.

  “Complete task, one of two your first hunt: Defeat any monster, reward level up, plus 1 status points to all stats, and fear resistance. Penalty negative status points, fear inflicted.”

  “Complete task, two of two your first hunt: Survive in the deep part of the forest for five days, reward: Forest survivor title, plus three stat points towards all stats. penalty: Stats and abilities locked, and near-death status inflicted.”

  “This again.” I say as I land on my back with a thud.
