Chapter 59: Round 2

The ground shook with each step the behemoth took off the elevator. His boots crunched down on the corpses of the guards, crushing them into a pulp under those massive, metal boots. Blood squirted out from underneath him, his arm stretched outwards with a massive bde, ready to swing.

I bent down in pain. My stomach was burning. My vision blurred as the titan strode over to me with a casual inclination to kill. The ground sagged and creaked under his weight.

That damn metallic pang, “It seems God would have given me a second chance at rectifying my mistakes. This time, betrayer, you will not leave alive.”

I gnced up, my eyes wide with the horror that this was the same Missionary that I had battled before. I could see it now, the battle damage on his suit, the perfect dent the size of my fist, it was him. That damn Missionary. He was back to finish me off. Of fucking course, he was.

I gasped some air into my lungs.

He rose his sword high, “May death make you pure.”

These damn Gellys. My heart sank as I watched him start his mechanical swing downwards, not even a second thought about cleaving me in half. I hated these zealots, just as much as they hated me.

My muscles froze. I couldn’t move. My stomach burned. “Bitch.” Is all I could manage to get out.

Reeeeoooww! Speck’s visceral growl pierced my ears. His body shot forward, smming into the Missionary’s arm. The swing went wide and pierced into the wall. Speck pulled his pistol to bear, popping off shots into the Missionary’s helmet while still holding the arm down. Sparks erupted with each shot; the bullets ricocheted into the walls.

My muscles finally listened to me now. Speck saved my ass. I couldn’t just sit here like a putz. The Deacons moved in from the elevator, pushing in with machinegun fire.

Boom, boom, boom. “Motherfuckers!” Echo stepped out into the hall, bsting away with his shotgun, cutting down the Gellys with ease. He dipped back into cover as they sprayed him down with gunfire. Blood erupted from his body. Captain Uwu caught him, returning fire into the small crowd, yelling something intangible to my ears.

The firefight broke out into a full out war.

It was a terrible fever dream now. How could this all go so wrong? I continued to fire my gun as well, trying to help if I could. The Missionary pulled his arm from the wall with one solid tug, Speck couldn’t even hold him back. He flung the Anthro-Jaguar across the hall, trying to ssh him with his sword.

Speck nded against the wall on his feet, hissing at the giant death machine. The missionary took another step in the battle-damaged hall, the ground creaking beneath him. I looked down at my only remaining power gauntlet.

I smirked. This fucking Missionary was going to get another building colpsing on him. Fuck him.

The power gauntlet buzzed to life. This was it. I had to save my friends. If I didn’t stop this menace, he could cut down my crew.

I smmed my gauntlet into the ground. Vibrations shook across the floor as it shook about. Everyone stood still, grabbing onto anything to stabilize them.

The Missionary shot his visor over to me, “You witch! You will pay for your sins in blood!”

He took one more step towards me, the ground bowing under his weight.

I rose my fist again, “You first.” I smmed my fist down once more. The ground shook across the hall.

Uwu was shouting from the security room, “Vixie!” He tried to reach out to me, but he was too far away now. My eyes locked onto his and I blew a kiss. This was it. My luck was running out.

The ground cracked and splintered, crumbling beneath the weight of the armored giant, who was still pushing towards me with murderous intent.

Speck jumped from the wall, nding on his head. He pushed off the Missionary with all his might, doing a backflip while firing the st of his pistol ammo into the giants helmet.

The zealot fell off bance, his rge boot smashing through the ground. He smmed forward, crushing through the colpsing floor. Cracks spiderwebbed through the floor, cutting deep around me and the Deacons in the hall. The floor gave way as the Missionary smmed down.

We all went into a free fall, crashing onto the floor below with a ton of detritus around us. The Missionary smmed down first, leaving a hefty imprint in the floor below us. Deacons were falling behind him, struggling to stay upright, the unlucky ones fell head first, crashing into the floor, while others were crushed by cement blocks.

I kept my feet beneath me as we fell, nding hard and rolling to try and save my legs from damage. Something in me ankle gave way, shooting a pain up my leg. I winced and yelled out, rolling across the floor, trying to protect my head from falling building material.

In front of me was the Missionary. His head slowly rose, looking right into my eyes. I swear I could see his hateful eyes burning through the visor.

I scoffed, “Looks like I win round two, huh? How’s a second building feel crashing down around you?”

“I will wash you away from existence. Not even God will know of you!” He pushed his sword into the ground, leveraging himself up, dirt and debris rolling off his armor.

I was in big trouble now. Speck wasn’t here to help out now. They were all a floor above me. I could see fshes and hear the bangs ring out, but it was just the two of us on this floor. I was having a horrible case of Déjà vu.

His sword sunk into the ground deeper, cutting clean through as he facepnted down. The ground around us began to break up again, cracks spiderwebbing out around us.

“Fuck, here we go again.” I braced myself for the fall. The ground gave way and we began another tumble downwards into a deep, dark room. Hot, sticky air hit my face, a stark contrast from the clean office air above.

I gnced down, my arms filing to grab onto anything I could reach before I smmed on the floor far down below. This wasn’t just a floor below, but a massive room filled with pipes and rge containers.

This was going to hurt. I closed my eyes and braced myself for the inevitable fall below. I smmed against a pipe, crushing my shoulder, flipping around violently before crashing onto the top of some metal cylinder. The wind was knocked from my lungs. I gasped for air, desperately looking around for the Missionary. Adrenaline was coursing through my body now; the only thing keeping me going.

Dust filled the air with a thick haze. Dim lights flickered about the room. Some sort of industrial works in the power pnt. People below were running away from the falling death trap. Crap rang out around me with metal pangs as the rocks and metal gave way to gravity.

My eyes caught onto a rge dust cloud below. Busted pipes oozed out steam, obscuring vision even more. I could make out some sort of shape below, rising from the ground, steam wetting his armor, causing it to glisten in the dim light.

He looked up at me, taking a step forward. His visor was cracked and sparking.

Thank you, Speck, for all the damage you caused.

He flipped the connectors and the helmet hissed as he pulled it from his head.

I finally got a glimpse of the murderous giant’s face. Now, it was time to finish this off.
