Seated on the twisted throne above the skeletal stairs of dead beings, man, woman and child, the ghoulish king's ruby eyes drifted down at jou. The man, whose black maine was drenched in blood, pointed his broad sword up to the creature and met its crimson gaze.
"And what say you, pagan god," shouted the warrior who had bested all the trials of this dead kings tomb.
This insult angered the goulish king, who slammed it's jewel coated fist onto the arms of its throne and rose to answer this intruder's insult. Though this reaction did nothing against Jou, who simply smirked at getting a rise from the monster men had called god.
"Inscolence!" the skeletons voice was a shrill cold wind that echoed across the black halls of its throne room.

"Heed my words mortal and heed them well. I've ruled these lands, glazed in spectecal and beuaty beyond mortal imaingings for eons. That there splendor exists at all, demonstrates my omnipotence, which marvels beyond the making of any living king and of any man who dared deem himself my equal."
The king, robed in crimson and saphire sewn sliks that trailed behind him, grabbed the shimmering axe beside the throne and walked down the steps made from his subjects. With his sword raised, Jou prepared himself against the descending skeletal giant and took a defensive stance that was well-suited for larger foes, though he had never faced one quiet as large.
"Lies!" Jou spat. "Before you blackened these lands, men, free men, toiled to work the earth into what it was. You, demon, shackled those who bled to make the beauty that you claim to have created. Creation is beyond your abilities."
In anger the giant leaped and swung its axe at Jou. The skeletons attack was fast, though the warrior he faced was equally as quick. Sparks ignited around the dead kings axe as Jou dived into a roll, eavading the strike.
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
The skeltons ruby eyes flared in rage at the warrior's feat of agility.
Taking advantage of the kings frustration, Jou taunted the dead giant who swung his axe in an aimless fury. Though the warrior effortlessly doged these attacks, Jou knew his window of oppurtunity would not come easily. This dance of axe swing and sword parry could only last so long.
"I'll have your skull mounted to my throne!" the King roared.
Jou's eyes widnedned. Before the dead king had made the strike, he knew this was his monment. With his blade ready, the warrior prepared himself.
As the axe swung, Jou, who knew the dead giant would over-exert his strike, dodged. Leaping, the warrior swung his sword in a silver arc at the undead king's crowned head.
Toppling on its knees, the kings skull fell from its robed shoulders and rolled across the floor towards its throne. As the fire behind its ruby eyes dimmed, so to did the fires of the torches die around the hall.
Jou knelt beside it and plucked the extinguished jewels from its eye sockets. Standing up, he studied the crowned skull that was now clutched in his hand.
"Mounted to my throne" he whispered with a bemused smile across his lips and ambition kindling in his mind.
