-Liz's POV-
After the whole fiasco of Reinard killing three guys and waiting in line to test our strengths, I was tired, not physically but more mentally. I am used to being given things on my command with no questions asked and not having to deal with minor stuff like this but I had to deal with it, for now at least. I hear the chatter of the people around me and it seems like there are other Guilds than the one I was joining.
After thinking for some time I decided that it would be best to leave for now and get some more information before joining any Guilds.
"Master, why did you quit the test?"
"Change of pns Reinard, change of pns. Let's go to a hotel we have a lot to discuss now, don't we?" I say while wondering about what type of Guilds there were and what were the restrictions pced on the members.
"That is true Master"
We started heading in the direction of the hotel where Reinard had already booked our rooms. I think through the pns again as they will be very important in determining what role I will have to assume by the time they are implemented. As I finish rethinking my pns we arrive at a hotel which looks more like a big corporate building rather than a hotel, with the interior being a combination of bck furniture, white walls and red floor carpets which gave it an aesthetic look that appeased the high paying customers. As Reinard had already booked our rooms we headed straight up to the 20th floor using the elevator, by the looks of it he had booked a rather expensive hotel by the living standards here.
“Reinard how much did it cost?” I ask while giving him an intriguing look.
“It was only 5000 dolrs master.” Reinard says while looking me directly in the eye.
“Ah, 5000 dolrs a week right?” I say with a pleased look because it was not too expensive and nor too cheap either.
“No, it is a per day master.” After hearing this I was shocked because that was a huge amount as far as I can remember, around a person’s month end sary.
“How the hell did you even get that huge sum of money?”
“I killed a few criminals”. Saying this with a straight face and having no shame at all is just insane. I mean I knew he was the kind of person who would go to any length for me, but then again I have killed a lot more people than the criminals in this world.
“I see….just try to keep that to yourself and don’t tell anybody about these kinds of things other than me. It’ll cause a lot of issues for us.” Reinard was not a chatterbox but in case he said something bluntly, it would spell trouble for us. The good thing is that we were already in the room while discussing this, so nobody heard him.
I look around the fancy room having the same aesthetic as the lobby of this hotel,filled with bck furniture, white walls and red floor carpets. The room has a lounge with a 70 inch television, two bedrooms with king size beds and even a kitchen. I sit on the lounge chair as Reinard also sits on the chair opposite to me rexing in the chair, as this will be a very long discussion of our future in this world.
"Now, tell me what you learned from the people in this city?"
"Yes Master, it all started 10 years ago which is exactly in the year 2014 when an asteroid of 1 km diameter had struck Earth. This created rge scale disaster all across the world with many Continents merging with each other and two of them even sinking. This also led to a decrease in the popution by 4 billion. The asteroid had a huge amount of mana in it, which started spreading rapidly and humans across the world obtained mana channels for the mana to flow through them allowing them to use magic. Then 5 years ago dungeons started spawning all across the world due to the world being able to handle the pressure of mana, which ter on started dungeon breaks, meaning the mana in the dungeons increased to the point of it leaking outside and eventually the gates broke and all this hell became even more dangerous. Now the governments are trying to fortify all the cities across the entire world, to avoid what happened during dungeon breaks, there are adventurers in all cities now varying in the ranks from F to S. With every government having its own guild and the other guilds which are made by the adventurers. And there are no taxes for the adventurers so they are all loaded with money. Many are even competent enough to solo dungeons and earn huge profits."
"So, it all happened at the same time as I left Earth. The disruption in the reality that brought me to Enoir was the asteroid that struck Earth. Do you have any other information like the Underworld organizations of this world?" I say while remembering the time spent on Enoir and time dition between Earth and Enoir. Which was absurd, I had spent eons on Enoir and the Universe surrounding it, but only 10 years had passed here. I wanted to cry and also thank the Universe but as that was not something that I would do right now.
"I do have those. Do you want me to go into details about them?"
"No...not now at least, we'll get there." I had created an isotion barrier around the room which cancelled all types of technology from listening to our conversation and also cutting the noise around us.
"I want to tell you about our future pns for this world, mainly about destroying all the dungeons around the pnet and erasing every single trace of monsters from this pnet. I want you to keep earning money through whatever means you deem necessary and make a guild for us and run it as a shadow master. This will help in building an army without the governments noticing us because building a huge army will cause lots of issues and questions eventually leading to conflict. I will explore a bit more around the cities and try to establish a merchant company to keep the funds coming in for our pns. Although these pns don't mean a thing because we both can go and kill every monster on this pnet, we still need to stay vigint in case something dangerous pops out of nowhere." I absolutely did not think that the first thing that I would be doing after coming back was to conquer the world. I wanted to find out my parents whereabouts, if they were even alive or not was a question that had been haunting me from the moment I had used the mana sense spell after coming back.
"Yes master but are you going to do the same thing that you did on Enoir?"
"Ah...about that, I might as well do it now that you have reminded me of, Reinard." I recall my memories of the first few decades that I spent on Enoir which were very gruesome but also became a lot more beneficial for me ter on.
Things will get a bit more interesting from now on but also somewhat troubling. I have to prepare a lot of things and start my fucking empire in this world. Not the first time I am doing this sort of thing but, with the way things are now, I need to do something about it. I can't just wait for someone else to step up and clear all the monsters.
"Yes Master, is there anything else you require me to do?"
"Hmm.....go rob a few people and give me all the money you have right now. I'll be going to L.A. and set up a merchant company there." I reply while thinking about what I need the most right now.
"Yes master" he handed me ten thousand dolrs which he had earned (obviously from killing the criminals) and left the hotel room to start his task, not wasting any time.
After Reinard had left, I rolled on the bed and id there with my back against the soft mattress while looking at the ceiling, contempting my choice of leaving my subjects in Enoir. I had checked throughout the world when I sent the mana sense across the globe for any trace of my parents but as there was none. I should be crying myself to sleep right now knowing my parents are dead but here I am looking at the ceiling and drifting off in the wondernd.
'Should've just stayed in Enoir.' Why did I even come back, I had it all but nope, I had to come back here and start over, Why? Because I want to protect the world? Do I even want to be the savior of humanity? Is there anything else here?
A lot of questions just kept coming in my head and I just ignored them because I didn't want any distractions.
I had thought about starting to research the world teleportation spell that had brought me back here because I won't be staying here after making the monsters on this pnet go extinct. I also want to explore the universe just like all humans want to. To go to outer space, discover new pnets, new life and so much more.
'You're getting distracted again Liz, wake up'. I suddenly gasp for air as I see the sunlight covering a part of the room and brightening it up. I don't even remember when I dozed off in the middle of thinking.
'Ughh..the dreams, although I do want to travel through worlds but, not at the moment at least for now.' I look around the room and see a bck suitcase on the table beside me. I reach out and open it. It was filled to the brim with hard cash. ‘I guess Reinard did this first before leaving to do the other tasks.’
