Chapter 1: The Punishment

When we last left our three pranking raptor dinosaurs and their triceratops friend Twig – Ispan, Basil and Nico found themselves being sentenced to babysit a retirement home for at least half of the year. Police Chief Dragonfly was going to check on them periodically, the tyrannosaurus police chief wasn’t too fond of making sure the raptors would behave. But more importantly, the gray alien – Yuril Laws was going to get even against the pranking dinosaurs. Yuril was busy making his own robotic dinosaur suit – being an elderly longneck dinosaur.

“Ah yes, this suit will do quite nicely to get me to fit in with the rest” laughed Yuril, “now all I have to do is make sure I am going to get submitted into the database.”

Yuril had managed to rebuild the ship that the pranking dinosaurs had previously destroyed. He had his work cutout for him by hacking into the database of the retirement home and inserted the name – Eldar into the system. It would take a few days before his plan would come to fruition. Meanwhile, Police Chief Dragonfly drove the three raptors and their triceratops friend towards the retirement home where the owner of the retirement center – a flying dinosaur by the name of Tao greeted them.

“Ah, these must be the troublemakers you were speaking to me about over the phone” said Tao.

“Yes, put these four to work” said Police Chief Dragonfly, “I will check up on them every week.”

Tao could see that the three pranking raptors and their triceratops friend needed to be taught a lesson in humility. This was a very important task, the poor dinosaurs were led in by Tao. Once they got inside the retirement home, they could see rows of elderly dinosaurs doing their best to move about. One dinosaur was an aging tyrannosaur much like the police chief – Kaito could see the three young raptors and their triceratops friend.

“Oh great, you brought in more volunteers, they’re going to ruin the nice time I have here” sighed Kaito.

“But they’re under court order to be here” said Tao.

“Yea, lighten up we’re here to help” said Ispan.

Kaito thought for a moment on a few tasks the dinosaurs could do for him.

“The triceratops should be the one pushing me around when I’m in a wheelchair” said Kaito.

That was an easy task that Twig could operate.

“Sure, I can do that” said Twig.

Twig was eager to assist, as for the other raptors, Tao could tell that he would have to assign them either other elderly dinosaurs or do yardwork with the groundskeeper – a smaller raptor like dinosaur – Gaius.

“I think you should work with Gaius” said Tao as he pointed at Nico.

Nico swallowed – yardwork? Him? He couldn’t believe he was going to go through with this sort of breaking back labor.

  “Me, out there?” asked Nico.

“Yes, or I will mark you down if you don’t comply” continued Tao.

Nico sighed as he had no choice but to head out, for and Ispan, Tao showed them the kitchen where they’d get to meet the head chef – an ankylosaur dinosaur known as Chef Peridot. Ispan and Basil welcomed these brand of chores more but knew it wouldn’t be easy.
