Time of Incident: 14:40
Location: Training Deck B
Summary:
A physical altercation occurred between Conner Kent (Superboy) and Damian Wayne (Robin) during a live training exercise. The escalation followed a disagreement regarding combat form and tactical execution. No serious injuries were sustained. Structural damage was limited to one support column and a section of deck plating. The situation was contained on-site.
What Happened:
The team was engaged in a standard movement and target-response drill. Conner was leading the rotation and maintaining pace effectively. His reaction time was consistent, and the targets in his lane were being cleared efficiently. Team positioning overall was stable at the time of the incident.
Damian entered the training deck partway though the exercise and issued a correction regarding Conner’s stance and weight distribution. He stated that Conner was overcommitting to his left side and relying on strength rather than balance. He was correct in this, but the delivery needed work.
Conner paused the drill to respond. His posture shifted immediately—shoulders squared, jaw set. Conner taking a moment to pull his hair into a bun. I doubt Damian missed this, it would be odd for him. Despite this, the exchange intensified as Damian continued to critique his form. Conner closed distance and pushed Damian into a nearby support column, resulting in visible denting.
The argument persisted at close range. Conner then lifted Damian and forced him down onto the deck surface. The impact caused cracking in the plating beneath them. Other team members verbally attempted to de-escalate.
Intervention:
I moved to interrupt the altercation once physical force escalated beyond verbal exchange. I instructed both parties to disengage and directed the team to pause the drill.
Conner released Damian immediately upon instruction.
As I approached, Conner shifted position slightly in front of me without prompting. The movement appeared reflexive rather than calculated, placing himself between me and Damian until the tension decreased. No further physical contact occurred after disengagement.
Damage:
— One dented support column
— Cracked deck plating
— Minimal injuries (Damian’s fine)
Assessment:
That escalated faster than I expected.
Damian is extremely direct. Conner does not appreciate being corrected mid-drill, particularly in front of the team. That combination tends to spark.
I should have called a reset sooner. I noticed the shift in his tone almost immediately, and I assumed it would level out. It did not.
For clarity: Conner was executing the drill effectively before the interruption. His pacing was strong, and the team was responding well to it. The disagreement was about refinement, not failure.
They both care about doing things right. Conner just… cares intensely.

W. West:
So are we billing that as “intense bonding” or—
A. Ellis:
Is that normal for y’all?
Or is it just a “those two” thing?
C. Kent:
He ran his mouth.
D. Wayne:
I corrected inefficiency.
C. Kent:
You corrected it like a damn supervisor.
A. Ellis:
So a you two thing
Delivery is hierarchy.
B. Wayne:
Accuracy is not hierarchical.
C. Kent:
Yeah? Because it felt like you walked in to start shit.
C. Sandsmark:
Conner—
C. Kent:
No. This asshole does this every time.
M. M’orzz:
Okay! Nobody is starting anything. It just got heated.
D. Wayne:
You applied emotional dampening.
A. Ellis:
You what?
M. M’orzz:
Not much! Just enough to lower escalation.
C. Kent:
You didn’t have to.
M. M’orzz:
Yes, I did. You were upset.
C. Kent:
I was handling it.
D. Wayne:
By picking me up?
C. Kent:
I wasn’t going to fucking hurt him… much
I’m not that out of control.
A. Ellis:
No one said you were.
C. Kent:
It’s implied when he calls me unstable.
D. Wayne:
Your response pattern supports the description.
C. Kent:
That’s such bullshit.
M. M’orzz:
I already submitted the incident report to J-LOC. I documented everything, including my intervention.
A. Ellis:
You reported yourself?
M. M’orzz:
Transparency builds trust!
W. West:
She absolutely formatted it.
M. M’orzz:
I always format it.
C. Kent:
You don’t have to flag yourself every time you help.
M. M’orzz:
I don’t want anyone thinking I’d hide something.
C. Kent:
You’re not the problem.
D. Wayne:
Consent was not obtained.
C. Kent:
Drop it.
W. Wayne:
Noted.
A. Ellis:
Y’all are intense.
D. Kent:
He pushes. I fucking push back. That’s it.
C. Sandsmark:
Maybe don’t shove people into load-bearing structures next time.
C. Kent:
Yeah. Fine.
M. M’orzz:
We’ll figure it out. We always do.
C. Kent:
You keep saying that. Maybe I'm starting to believe you.
End thread.

this one was giving me nightmares, orginially set up from Damian's POV insted of M'gann's and it was NOT WORKING, for character development reasons. this version feels weaker but it shows characterization better. please leave editorial suggestions, ill probobly come back around to this one before it gets published tho, i just need to get he next chapter written to keep up with the publishing rate.
