Chapter- 81 (30 Years)

  30 Years!

That was how long Mark had already stayed in the Safety Zone with his family.

In these 30 years, he fought with many races of monsters, from top to low tier.

But, of course, fighting imaginary monsters was different from fighting real monsters.

Even then, the true essence lay in their immense number and utilization of his elemental control. So, he was satisfied with all the training he had done over the last 30 years.

Besides that, finally, after going through the reality of the tower, his family stepped out of their confined imaginary world and entered the true Safety Zone, where creatures of all races resided together.

And they found that the safety zone was totally different from their imagination.

There was no talk of a battlefield there. People simply weren't interested in it. They were more interested in living their lives peacefully and freely out in the open.

And there was an unspoken rule, too, that whatever fantasy one wanted to live through, one could only do so in their room and imaginary world, not out in the open, as it was frowned upon, and Mark and his family loved this rule.

So out in the Safety zone, there was only peace, celebration, and a full of love attitude.

Most importantly, all races had built their communities in the safety zone.

And if there was any hate between the two races, then their communities were so far apart that they wouldn't meet in their entire lives.

And again, there was an unspoken rule. Not to enter each other's communities if there was hatred.

For anyone to not break that rule, one could create a shield, which only those races could cross, who that particular race did not mind coming there.

So all in all, everything was much better than their imagination.

But that wasn't all. Going through his status panel, Mark learned about all of its functions too.

And the functions were Store, World Messenger, World Travel, and Test Ground.

Starting with the Store, he realized how dangerous it was. It was selling everything that one wanted in one’s imagination to save oneself and kill others.

Starting from 1 day, the most expensive item really was 10,000 days. Nothing was more costly than that.

And yes, he truly was going after the best materials, because unlike others, who could rely on techniques, skills, and all, he needed to master the elements themselves.

And once he mastered them, he would leave everyone in the dust. So at that point in time, it simply won't matter how many skills and techniques others had, when they simply couldn't dodge his attack and save themselves.

If we talk about the shop, then, yes, it literally was selling everything and anything.

Skills, techniques, weapons, items, potions, arrays, formations, foods, etc., and the absurd thing was, one didn't even need to learn any skills, techniques, and all, or comprehend them, even at the higher level, like he was doing.

No, they could simply pay days as a price to increase their levels directly, or practice it to do the same too, just like he was doing.

Then why couldn't he do that? Why couldn't he spend days to do the same thing?

The answer was it’s not that he couldn’t do that, it’s that he simply wasn’t crazy enough to do that.

Because there lay the biggest trap inside the shop. It was true that the shop could bring out everything and anything one wanted in imagination, but that was through the 'Wishing Card'.

  What was the ‘Wishing Card’?

A wishing card was an item through which you could wish for anything, even something impossible, like immortality.

  Yes, even immortality.

According to Ayden, immortality didn't exist in this world, but according to the shop, the wishing card had the capability to fulfill even the absurdist demand.

  Then what was the catch?

The catch was the cost of the wish that one prays for. Once the wish was made, the wishing card sent you to the ‘Test Ground’.

  Yes, the test ground.

The same test ground where he fought for his life with tooth and nail, survived, and then was sent to the safety zone.

And depending on the wish, the test could be easier or harder. A simple example was immortality.

To pass that test, one had to go through the toughest test of the tower, and that was to slaughter a single creature from every race in the tower.

It might seem no big deal, but the thing was, the tower had more than a trillion races in it.

Not to say, every day, plus thousands of planets get attached to the tower, and even more races enter the tower, so completing such a task was literally impossible.

Let's take another example, if he, Mark, wished for a fruit that could make him directly raise his Darkness Element Control to the S Grade, then he could be sent to the test, where he might have to slaughter 1 million or maybe more such creatures and survive till the end.

  What were the chances?

  1 in a million, obviously.

1 in 1000 was way different than 1 in 1,000,000.

But of course, that doesn't mean that the wishing card was useless. No, for risk takers, this was a god sent opportunity.

Instead of directly raising one's element power to such a greater height, one could seek to raise it by a single level, or simply wish to enter the domain of any element.

Then the test would be lenient, like slaughtering 1000 creatures more or less.

So as long as the creature was confident enough in its capabilities, it could get anything.

And what was the price tag of the 'Wishing Card'?

  It was whopping……. 1 day.

  Yup, freaking 1 day.

So the tower didn't lie, but even in the shop, it didn't forget to tell the world that only through killing one could get what one wanted.

And the way of finding any type of items that you wanted was even simpler. There was an advanced search bar, on which a person could write their conditions.

If they were absurd, then only the 'Wishing Card' would come into sight, but if justified, then all the related items would show in the options with price.
