Chapter- 110 (Impartial Tower)

“How is it possible? One piece…. That was all it was. One freaking piece and I am full.” Mark couldn’t believe his stomach.

This was the first time since he had come to the tower that such a thing had happened to him.

Cuz normally he could eat for hours and not feel full even a bit.

Not because all the food was imaginary, cuz imagined food was real too, that was why he always had to eat high-level creatures' meat as a food to fill himself up.

“Calm down. This is the 2nd Floor creature’s meat with all its power and nutrition present. The food tower gives in the safety zone is only nutritious enough to keep you in your top condition, but not enough to give you stat points, no matter how much you eat. So, of course, you are feeling full.” Ayden replied, “The good thing is that you can soon eat it once every 3 hours. That means 8 times a day. And within 125 days, all of your ten stats would be at 10 points.”

“Fuck yes, and this will make my comprehension power increase, and mastering elements even easier.” Mark clenched his fists.

Each stat in the status panel increases power related to the specific body part.

Intelligence and Wisdom were the ones that increased the power of the brain, which helped in comprehending, and for Mark, when he was in the safety zone, nothing was more important than that.

Intelligence increased the capacity to learn, reason, understand, solve problems, and apply knowledge effectively.

While Wisdom allowed all that knowledge to be used effectively using experience, good judgment, insights and all to make a sound and ethical judgment.

And together they allowed one to go in a correct path, and not wander around in circles.

And the more one's comprehension power was, the easier it was for one to master an element.

Could comprehension be increased using a technique, or buying items from the shop, or using a wishing card?

  For the first two, no.

For the last one, yes, everything was possible using the wishing card.

But one had to go through hell for that.

The better option was much simpler: increase the intelligence and wisdom stat points and raise your awareness and comprehension automatically.

Does everyone possess the same amount of comprehension ability?

The answer was simple: no. Some may possess the same amount of intelligence and wisdom stat points, yet the difference could be glaring, cuz they were simply more gifted in using their brain.

That was why some races were inherently stupid, even though they possessed the same amount of intelligence and wisdom stats as humans, while some were more intelligent.

Just like some possessing inherently one of the most powerful bloodlines in the tower, or some possessing one of the most powerful bodies.

  But why was that?

  Shouldn’t the tower be impartial?

The answer was that it was impartial.

All one had to do was to use a wishing card, go through it, and change one’s own and one’s entire race’s destiny.

  Some creatures had done that.

Take Maukra Race for an example.

Once upon a time, they were nothing but amassed days for others, who could be slaughtered at will.

Yet today, there they were ready to slaughter a True Warrior, and if they had done that, they would’ve gotten a wish, which was another way to get themselves and their race to a higher level.

So, yes, the tower was impartial, and for that, all one had to do was kill, cuz that was the only language it understood.

“The invitation card is blinking,” Ayden said, interrupting Mark’s thought process.

Looking at Ayden, who pulled the black card out, which was now blinking with the golden light, Mark took a deep breath. “Let’s go and see what the old man wants to talk about then.” As he pulled out his Joker’s mask and put it on.

“Just make sure not to give away any information that shouldn’t be given. If I see you doing that, I will scream in your brain loudly to stop you, okay.” Ayden said, making Mark simply nod his head.

“Let’s go then,” Ayden said as he grabbed Mark’s shoulder, and the next second, both of them disappeared.

When they reappeared, they found themselves in the middle of a forest.

Right between the trees, there was an empty space, where there was a hut, surrounded by rabbits, chickens, cows, and other herbivorous animals, who were eating the grass, while on top of some of them were sitting birds, chirping and singing.

While from afar, the sound of water running could be heard constantly, telling them that there was a river nearby, too.

The entire scene looked serene and full of calmness, just like any older and retired person would enjoy.

But the person they had come to meet was neither retired nor old, at least in terms of age, Ayden topped him by thousands of years.

Slowly, both of them took steps towards the hut, and the moment they reached closer, they heard the sound of chattering and laughing from inside, making them confused.

Cuz there were more than two voices inside, as they had thought they would be meeting the old man alone, his companion by default was always there, but that only makes two people, not three, thus the confusion.

But not letting such a small thing unnerved them, Ayden knocked on the door, making the chatter turn into silence.

The door opened as a middle-aged person appeared in their sight.

Looking at them intently, the middle-aged man simply opened the door for them, pointing his hand towards inside, inviting them without saying anything.

Nodding his head, Mark walked ahead as Ayden followed him from behind.

Entering the room, Mark saw the same old man he had seen before, but beside him, there were two more creatures, too.

  Yes, creatures.

And one of those creatures was from the Maukra Race.

The same race that had come to hunt him during his second visit to the battlefield, just hours ago.
