When he woke up the next morning, Alexander felt refreshed and had clear objectives in mind. He then made his preparations, ate his meal, and went to the reception to get some books from the guild's collection with Mary.
Upon arriving at the reception, Alexander discovered that Mary was not there. And not seeing any familiar faces, he chose the employee with the shortest line to ask about the collection of books to help adventurers.
The receptionist, very helpful, gave him a list of the books that this Guild branch currently had. And recognizing that some of them were very important, Alexander requested them and returned to his room.
The first book he read was the one covering the history of that world. And the more he read, the more he realized how complicated his situation was.
First of all, the world he was in was called Aurora, and the region was the continent of conquest. A place "dominated" by great civilizations, like the Vermilion Empire.
The most populous race was human, and the Vermilion Empire, where he was located, was led by humans.
According to the same book, the Vermilion Empire was one of the greatest powers in the region and, just as the map showed, is located near the great Stellar Forest.
The Stellar Forest, in turn, is a vast area that contains various biomes and a great diversity of creatures. Its name as a forest comes from the fact that this biome has greater reach, even enveloping others.
This forest was considered neutral territory because it didn't belong to any civilization. But, according to the book's subtext, most of it was under the control of creatures, which in turn were under the dominion of an even more powerful creature, thus forming a certain hierarchy.
Based on the book's description and his estimate, the grove where he woke up is in the outermost part of the Stellar Forest and, therefore, is a lawless place where survival of the fittest is what counts.
Very satisfied with the information from the first book, Alexander picked up the second one, which covered the power scale on the continent of conquest.
According to the second book, there are 2 power scales: one to measure power in a more general and generic way, and another based on the destructive capacity of a being.
The first scale divides creatures by evolution level, as if each evolution represented a level of strength. But since the variation within the same evolution level is high, especially between different species, this form provides only an estimate.
This same scale separates people by their classes, meaning the better your class, the higher your strength level. And what determines the class, just as for Alexander, are the spells and/or skills the individual masters, as well as the quantity and quality of energy and/or mana they control.
The second scale is more objective and focuses on the raw/destructive power each being possesses. Although not perfect, it provides a greater dimension of each individual's destructive power and is divided as follows:
Seismic Shock: Being capable of destroying villages. Usually refers to creatures at the peak of the 2nd evolution or the beginning of the 3rd evolution, and to bearers of ultimate Tier II spells and/or skills.
Earthquake: Being capable of destroying cities. Usually refers to creatures at the peak of the 3rd evolution or the beginning of the 4th evolution, and to bearers of ultimate Tier III spells and/or skills.
Gale: Being capable of destroying large cities. Usually refers to creatures at intermediate or final levels of the 4th evolution and to bearers of ultimate Tier IV spells and/or skills.
Force of Nature: Being capable of carving a path through everything in its way, a true natural catastrophe. Usually refers to creatures at the initial or intermediate levels of the 5th evolution and bearers of ultimate Tier V spells and/or skills.
Apocalyptic: Beings that transcend logic and approach the power of the gods. Usually refers to creatures above intermediate levels of the 5th evolution and to holders of Forbidden Tier spells and/or skills.
The last book Alexander picked up was about dungeons: structure, difficulty, recurring creatures, and location of those near Twin City.

According to the book, dungeons are structures that arise spontaneously, in the most varied forms, accumulate energy from the environment, and generate creatures. But the time each one takes to generate creatures depends on its size and location, and the generated creatures usually don't leave the dungeon, only in cases of stampede.
Stampedes, in turn, occur when there is an accumulation of creatures and energy in the dungeon, or due to the intervention of some external factor.
Still according to the book, if they have enough time, dungeons absorb any inanimate thing that comes into contact with their structure to strengthen themselves. But the time for each absorption varies depending on what is being absorbed.
"That explains why the bodies were decomposing so easily inside the dungeon..." thought Alexander. "And to think I lay down in a place like that."
While reading this book, he came across information that answered one of his biggest doubts about dungeons: the creatures generated by dungeons are devoid of rationality. All they have is the instinct to attack the invaders.
Returning to reading the book, Alexander discovered why Twin City is a hub for adventurers. Near this city there are several dungeons, and the largest of them is an infernal dungeon.
He obviously didn't know what an infernal dungeon was. But it didn't take long for him to find a classification that explained what an infernal dungeon was after reading a few more pages.
Beginner Dungeon: Divided into 3 subdivisions: Small, Medium, and Large. The larger the size, the greater the number of creatures and its difficulty. Dungeon BOSS: 1st evolution creature.
Intermediate Dungeon: Divided into 2 subdivisions: Normal and Advanced. They are almost the same size and have almost the same number of creatures, but the power of the creatures in dungeons considered advanced is much greater. Final Dungeon BOSS: 2nd evolution creature.
Advanced Dungeon: Divided into 2 subdivisions: Common and Variant. They are almost the same size and have almost the same number of creatures, but besides the creatures' power being greater in the Variant, the dungeon is also somewhat unpredictable. Final Dungeon BOSS: 3rd evolution creature.
Infernal Dungeon: Not much information about what's inside, only that its interior is gigantic and that everything inside is inconstant and unpredictable. Final Dungeon BOSS: (???).
"There is some important information in the subtext of this book," thought Alexander. "The first is that from intermediate dungeons onwards there seem to be sub-bosses before the BOSS, and this can be beneficial and/or problematic."
When he finished reading and reviewing all the books, it was almost night and his stomach protested with hunger. He then went to the reception to return the books and took Ocean, who had spent the day in the room with him, for a walk and to relax while they ate.
After a long walk to relax and relieve the mental fatigue of staying in a room all day, Alexander returned to the Guild, had dinner in his room, and lay down to sleep.
The next day, with Mary back at her post, Alexander picked up a mission to clear one of the beginner dungeons near the city, and the system once again logged the mission. But unlike the missions that were triggered when he entered dungeons in the past, this mission had a generic title and offered only XP points, like the escort mission.
Even though he was unenthused by the mission's low reward, Alexander went to complete it. What he didn't expect was that as soon as he entered the dungeon in question, another mission would appear, and this one provided growth points, as well as free attribute points.
Excited by all this, he checked his surroundings very well and changed to his goblin form, because in that form he could unleash all his power and unlock some skills and enhancements.
With his restrictions removed and Ocean by his side, Alexander had no problems obliterating all the creatures in his path and completing his missions with speed and ease.
Seeing this ease, he returned to his human form and cleared all the {Beginner Dungeons} near the city to obtain the rewards from the missions that appeared when he entered a dungeon for the first time.
With this thought in mind, Alexander cyclically kept clearing all the {Beginner Dungeons} until the day before the academy exam, because with the high concentration of energy near the city, the dungeons generate creatures much faster than in the grove.
Some bronze-level adventurers even complained saying he was practically monopolizing the beginner dungeons, since sometimes he didn't stop even when it got dark. But since they couldn't do much against a silver-level adventurer and his familiar in the final stage of the 1st evolution, they resigned themselves to just complaining.
With this frenetic pace, Alexander managed to considerably increase his progress bar and repeatedly clear the 8 {Beginner Dungeons} that were near Twin City.
Upon completing these 8 new dungeons, he was able to obtain 8 growth points, 15 free attribute points, rich combat experience against various different creatures, and an amount, which was considerable for the moment, from selling the slain creatures.
Obviously this amount wasn't enough to make him rich, but it was enough for him to consider himself self-sufficient in monetary matters.
The bad part of all this was that the chest rewards were smaller with each clear, possibly because Alexander cleared the dungeons so fast they didn't have time to fully recover...
Wanting to test his goblin form, he cleaned himself up, changed to his goblin form, put on casual clothes, and went to the city outskirts to see how the guards would react to this form.
After passing by several groups only receiving some curious looks, which was understandable since there were few red demis in the city, Alexander approached one of the city gates.
