If You Want to Save Her

As everyone gathered around, the once vibrant and lively team now seemed quieter, more serious. The room was filled with the murmurs of their collective thoughts, each person processing the battle, the losses, and the uncertainty of what would come next.

Ray stood at the head of the group, looking over everyone with a sharp gaze. His usual smirk was gone; the weight of their situation had settled on his shoulders. "Alright, we’ve been through a lot. But we’re not done yet. We need to come together, plan, and make sure that what happened out there doesn’t happen again. I’m not letting anyone go down without a fight."

Selene, standing by the door, crossed her arms and nodded. "Ray’s right. We all need to be on the same page. But we can’t do this with half-hearted efforts. If we’re going to save Sockoo, if we’re going to stop Strikeka and the rest of that family... we need to be stronger."

Hajime, his eyes still red from the emotional toll, stood off to the side, his usual stoic demeanor barely masking the turmoil inside him. "I’ll get stronger,""I won’t let them hurt anyone else. I’ll push myself beyond my limits... again."

Daka, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, gave Hajime a determined look. "We all will. But this time, we need a real plan. We can’t just rush in blindly."

Rizra, sitting on a chair, seemed to have been quietly observing the entire scene. "We need to figure out their weaknesses. We’ve already seen how strong they are, but there's always a way to counter it."

He shifted his gaze between everyone. "We need to be prepared for anything. And that includes thinking about our next moves carefully."

Sockoo’s absence from the meeting was noticeable. No one had seen her since the incident, and that left a hole in the group’s morale. But there was a determination in the air, the kind that said they wouldn’t give up on their missing teammate.

"We’ll find her,""We’ll save Sockoo, and then we’ll put an end to this mess once and for all."

Makoto and Emily, both still looking battered from the battle, exchanged a glance. "We can’t afford to wait around. We need to act quickly. Sockoo’s family isn’t the kind to let things slide."

The mood was somber but filled with a sense of urgency. Ray and Selene exchanged a knowing look. "Alright,""We’re going to need every single one of you at your best. No more running away. No more holding back. If we’re going to save Sockoo and stop her father’s madness, we’ll do it together. And we’ll be ready."

Selene stepped forward, a calm but resolute energy surrounding her. "We’ve got a long road ahead, but we’ve always made it through. And this time won’t be any different."

Everyone nodded in agreement, a collective understanding settling in. The Music Club was still standing strong. And no matter how tough the road ahead was, they weren’t backing down.

Hajime’s resolve hardened, his fists clenching at his sides. "I’m not losing anyone else."

The team, united in purpose, began to strategize. It was time to take the fight to Sockoo’s family. And this time, they wouldn’t let anything stand in their way.

The room fell into an eerie silence as Hajime's question hung in the air. Everyone’s eyes shifted, and it seemed like the certainty and determination they’d just shared began to fade, replaced by the cold reality of their situation. The plan, the strategy, the drive to save Sockoo and end Strikeka’s reign—all of it seemed uncertain now.

"You’re right,""We don’t know where they are. We don’t even know where to start looking."

Rizra leaned forward, tapping his fingers against the table thoughtfully. "And no one’s seen them in a while, so it’s not like we can track them down easily. They’ve covered their tracks well."

Yosuke, who’d been unusually quiet, spoke up. "It feels like we’re back at square one, huh?""We need a lead, something to point us in the right direction."

Makoto stood up from his chair, his fists clenched. "We’ve fought enemies who were a hell of a lot stronger than us. But we always found a way. We can’t just stop now. We just need to... think harder."

Yu, rubbing his temples, looked at the group, his voice calm but laced with frustration. "We’ve faced a lot, but this... this is different. They’re so far ahead of us, we’re not even in their league."

He looked over to Hajime. "You’re stronger than most, Hajime, but we need more than just power."

Everyone exchanged glances, the weight of their situation settling in. The silence lingered for a long moment, broken only by the sound of distant footsteps approaching the door.

Suddenly, a voice cut through the tension. "If you want to find them, I might have a way."

The group turned in unison, surprised by the voice. Standing in the doorway was Bondo

"You’ve been looking in the wrong places,""I know where they are. I’ve heard things, seen things. You’re not as far from them as you think."

The room exploded with murmurs. "What do you mean?"

Ray asked, his voice sharp and questioning.

"I don’t know where they live exactly, but I do know something about their connections. Streetka—he has ties to certain powerful groups. They’ve been keeping a low profile, but they’ve been busy. Very busy.""We’ve been looking for answers, right? Well, sometimes, you don’t have to search hard. They want us to come to them. And I think it’s time we do just that."

Selene raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What are you suggesting?"

Bondo gave them a confident grin. "We don’t need to find their hideout. We just need to get their attention. And I know exactly how we can do that."

The team looked at each other, still unsure but now intrigued. Hajime stepped forward, his voice laced with skepticism. "And how do you suggest we do that?"

Bondo's grin widened. "You’ll see. Trust me, it’s time we make our own move. The Music Club always does things their own way, right?"

The room became quiet once again, but this time, there was a renewed sense of hope. Even if they didn’t know exactly how to get there yet, there was finally a way forward.

Ray’s eyes lit up as he pieced it together. He snapped his fingers.

"I got it!""We don’t need to track them down — we need someone who can cover ground faster than anyone else."

He turned to the group, his voice filled with confidence. "I’m calling Lila."

The room collectively blinked in surprise.

"Lila?""Wait… the short lightning speedster Lila? That Lila?"

  Ray smirked. "Yeah, that one."

Yu’s eyes widened. "Isn’t she kind of... insane?"

  "Insane? Nah,""She’s just

enthusiastic. Besides, if anyone can find Sockoo and the others fast, it’s her."

Ray pulled out a sleek, modified communicator and pressed a button. After a moment of static, a high-pitched, excited voice burst through the other end.

"Rayyyy! What’s up, big guy? Miss me? I know you did."

Ray chuckled. "Yeah, yeah. Listen, Lila. We need you — now."

"Ohoho! Sounds serious,""Who do I gotta zap?"

Ray leaned against the wall, his voice steady. "We need to find Sockoo. She was taken by Strikeka and Streetka."

There was a brief silence on the other end. Then, Lila’s voice came through again, this time more serious.

"Sockoo? Those guys? Got it. Say no more. I’ll be there faster than you can blink."

  The line cut off.

Hajime blinked. "Did she just hang up on you?"

Ray grinned, unfazed. "Yeah. That means she’s on the way."

Suddenly, a loud echoed from outside the base, followed by a gust of wind that knocked over a chair.

  "I’M HEEEEERE!"

The door practically flew off its hinges as a short, energetic girl with spiky, lightning-colored hair stood in the doorway, electricity sparking off her boots. She was barely five feet tall, wearing a sleeveless jacket, fingerless gloves, and goggles pushed up onto her forehead. Her grin was as wild as her hair.

"Lila’s in the house, baby!""Now… who am I tracking down? Let’s fry these bastards!"

Ray laughed. "Told you she'd be fast."

Hajime crossed his arms, frowning. "Wait... why do we even have to ask ?"

Lila turned to him, squinting. The moment she saw him, her grin twisted into a smug smirk.

"Ohhh, is that Hajime? Pfft—""Wow, you're shorter than I expected. What are you, a battle munchkin? A fun-sized fighter? Damn, they must've shrunk you in the wash or something!"

Hajime’s eye twitched, his face turning red. "Excuse me?! I’m still taller than you, you mini short hag!"

Lila gasped, clutching her chest like she was wounded. "Hag?! Ohhh, you wanna go, pint-sized punk?! I’ll zap your ass into next week!"

  "Yeah? Try it, spark plug!"

Ray laughed so hard he nearly fell over. "Yup. Knew this would happen."

Selene sighed, shaking her head. "They really are like kids…"

Yu leaned over to Yosuke and whispered, "I think they might actually kill each other before we even find Sockoo."

  "Yeah…""But honestly, kinda worth watching."

Makoto tilted her head, watching the argument unfold. She sighed and spoke up.

"Hajime isn’t even small, though. I’d say he’s average height."

Lila spun around, pointing an accusatory finger at her. "Whose side are you on, Makoto?!"

Makoto shrugged casually. "I’m on the side of facts. He’s average. You’re the short one, Grandma."

Lila twitched, her face going red with anger. "Tch! Who asked you, you gun-crazy brat?!"

Hajime grinned smugly. "Ha! Even Makoto says I’m average. You hear that? That’s a win in my book!"

Lila glared at him, electricity sparking from her fingertips. "Keep talking, ‘average.’ We’ll see how tall you feel after I fry your hair off!"

Ray wiped a tear from his eye from laughing too hard. "Man, this is better than any comedy show."

Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.

Lila, still fuming from the height argument, shoved a crumpled photo into Ray’s chest.

"Here, dumbass. I found this when I was scouting around,""It’s a picture of their base. Don’t say I never do anything for you."

Ray raised an eyebrow, taking a good look at the image. It showed a massive, dark fortress on a mountain, surrounded by swirling clouds and eerie, violet lightning. The atmosphere alone screamed “villains live here.”

"Whoa... this place looks like the final boss’s castle in a video game,"

Hajime leaned over his shoulder to peek at the photo. His eyes widened. "That’s... definitely where Sockoo is."

Lila snorted. "Yeah, no kidding. They’re not exactly subtle."

Selene stepped closer, her expression serious. "If this is their base... then what’s the plan? We can’t just rush in blindly."

Ray nodded, tucking the photo into his pocket. "Agreed. We’ll need to prepare — and Hajime still has more training to do."

  Hajime groaned. "More? Seriously?!"

Ray smirked. "You’re not strong enough yet. Unless you wanna get ragdolled across the city again."

Hajime scowled, but he couldn’t argue with that. His fists clenched. "Fine. Let’s do this."

Lila grinned wickedly. "Heh. Good. I’ll make sure your training hurts."

Ray leaned against the wall, arms crossed and wearing his signature smug grin.

"And that goes for all you kids too,""You think you’re just gonna waltz into enemy territory like heroes and win? After the beatdown you guys took? Pfft."

Everyone tensed. Daka, still bandaged up, scowled. "Tch... we’re not just gonna sit around."

Ray chuckled. "Yeah? Then you better get stronger. A lot stronger. 'Cause if you can't keep up with Hajime, you’re dead weight — and Sockoo’s as good as gone."

The room went quiet. His words hit hard, but no one could deny the truth in them.

Angel stepped forward, her voice steady despite the tension. "We’ll train too. We’re not leaving Hajime to do this alone."

Ray’s grin widened. "Good answer. Hope you’re all ready for hell."

Lila cackled. "Ohhh, they’re not ready. This’ll be fun."

Ray clapped his hands together, his grin never fading.

"Alright, listen up, kiddies. You want to save Sockoo? Then you gotta stop being weaklings. Here's the deal — everyone gets their own personal nightmare of a training regimen. No complaints, no breaks, no mercy."

He turned to each of them, listing off their trials like it was a grocery list:

  • Daka:
  • Makoto:
  • Rizra:
  • Bondo:
  • Yosuke:
  • Yu:
  • Emily:
  • Amy:
  • Angel:

  Finally, Ray looked at Hajime.

"And you... you’re fighting me. All day. Every day. Until the others finish. No breaks, no mercy. You want to beat Sockoo’s family? Then you better learn to beat me first."

Hajime swallowed hard. "All day?! Every day?! Ray, I’ll die!"

Ray just laughed. "Then you better not die, huh?"

"Alright, kiddos — training starts NOW!"

The air filled with groans, but no one dared to slack. They all knew what was at stake.

  ?? Daka’s Blizzard Trial

Daka stood at the edge of a frozen cliff, snow and ice whipping around him violently. The cold bit into his skin, but he gritted his teeth, stepping forward. His breath came out in white clouds as he struggled to conjure his ice magic.

The wind screamed, slamming into him, but he pushed back with his own gust of wind magic. It wasn’t enough — the blizzard overpowered him, knocking him onto one knee.

he muttered through chattering teeth. He forced himself up, the frost creeping over his limbs, but his eyes burned with determination.

  ?? Makoto’s Beast Hunt

Makoto found himself in a dense, shadowy forest. The sounds of snarling beasts echoed all around him. A massive, wolf-like creature lunged from the darkness — claws swiping at his face.

Makoto dodged, narrowly avoiding the strike, and fired an bullet in one fluid motion. It missed. The wolf charged again, and this time, he wasn’t fast enough. It tackled him, slamming him into the ground.

  "Damn it!""I won’t miss again."

  ?? Rizra’s Iron Fist Trial

Rizra’s knuckles were already bruised and bloody. She stood in front of a massive, unbreakable steel slab, fists trembling. She had been punching it for hours — every punch barely making a dent.

She panted heavily, sweat dripping down her face. "Indestructible? My ass."

She roared and threw another punch, her entire arm shaking from the impact. A tiny crack formed. Her eyes widened. "Hah… I’m getting there."

  ?? Bondo vs. Lila

Bondo sprinted through an open field, lightning sparking around him as he chased Lila.

Lila zipped through the air, her speed a blur. "Catch me if you can, slowpoke!"

Bondo gritted his teeth. His lightning magic crackled more intensely. "I’ll wipe that grin off your face, you little gremlin!"

Lila only smirked, flickering out of sight again. "Try harder, thunder boy!"

  ?? Yosuke vs. Sworda

Yosuke stood in a large dojo, facing Sworda — Daka’s grandfather. The old man looked completely uninterested, his sword resting lazily on his shoulder.

"If you can’t land a hit on me, you’re useless,"

Sworda said bluntly. "Come on, brat."

Yosuke dashed forward, his sword drawn, poison magic swirling around his blade. He slashed — and Sworda moved faster than his eyes could follow.

  CLANG!

Yosuke’s sword was knocked aside in an instant. Sworda didn’t even look like he tried.

  "Sloppy."

  ?? Yu’s Elemental Trial

Yu stood in the center of a large arena. Massive elemental orbs floated around him — fire, ice, lightning, water, earth, and wind. One by one, they fired blasts at him.

  BOOM!

  "AAGHH!!"

  He collapsed, trembling.

"Get up.""If you want to protect your friends, you gotta take this."

Yu groaned, his body shaking. "I... I can take it… keep going…"

  ?? Emily’s Magic Overload

Emily stood in a magic circle, glowing with energy. Her hands trembled as she channeled more and more power. The air vibrated around her.

"You can do more,""Push past your limits."

Her head pounded, her vision blurred. The magic felt like it was tearing her apart from the inside.

  "I… I can handle it!"

  ?? Amy’s Psychic Gauntlet

Amy sat in the center of a massive field, eyes closed, surrounded by dozens of floating objects — weights, weapons, even rocks. She juggled them all with her psychic powers, sweat pouring down her face.

  One faltered, and everything dropped.

  "No!"

She gasped for breath, heart racing. "I… I’ll get it next time."

  ?? Angel’s Skyward Flight

Angel soared through the sky, the wind stinging her face. She flapped her wings harder, pushing higher and higher. The air thinned, her lungs burned.

She looked down — the clouds were already far below. She wasn’t high enough yet.

  "Higher… I have to go higher…"

  ?? Hajime vs. Ray

Meanwhile, Hajime stood face to face with Ray on the training field. His body still ached from dragging the giant boulders earlier. His legs felt like they were filled with lead, but he stood tall.

Ray smirked. "Alright, Hajime. Let’s see how long you last."

  "I hate you,"

"Good. You’ll hate me more after this."

Ray disappeared in a blur. Hajime barely saw the punch coming.

  WHAM!

Hajime was sent flying, crashing through a wall.

  "Rage on desu…"

Ray laughed. "We’re just getting started!"

Ray didn’t hold back. Hajime barely saw the first punch before it connected, launching him backward into the dirt. His body skidded across the ground, leaving a rough trail behind him.

Before Hajime could even breathe, Ray was already there — his fist burying into Hajime's gut like a hammer.

Hajime coughed, spitting blood. His knees buckled, but Ray grabbed him by the collar and hurled him into a nearby boulder, shattering it on impact.

"You call this fighting?!" Ray shouted, voice carrying both mockery and disappointment. "Did you learn nothing

Hajime groaned, his vision blurry. His body screamed in pain — arms limp, legs shaking. He tried to think, to analyze like he always did… but Ray wasn’t giving him a second to process.

  Another hit. Then another.

  It wasn’t a fight. It was a one-sided slaughter.

Hajime’s mind roared at his body, but his muscles wouldn't listen.

Ray sighed, standing over him. "If you can't even figure out how to get one hit in…" He raised his fist high. "…then you’re not ready to save anyone.

Hajime’s heart pounded. His head slumped forward, sweat and blood dripping from his chin. His friends’ faces flashed through his mind — Sockoo, Yu, Daka, everyone lying broken on the ground. He remembered Sockoo’s final, empty "Bye bye" before disappearing with her father.

His hands trembled, fingers curling into the dirt. His teeth grit hard enough to hurt.

Ray’s fist came down like a meteor — but this time, Hajime's body moved on instinct. His head snapped to the side, dodging by a hair’s breadth.

His eyes shot open, burning with that same, wild blue flame.

Hajime's breathing was ragged, his muscles screaming — but his mind finally clicked.

Ray cracked his neck, grinning. "Finally woke up, huh? Took you long enough."

Hajime wiped the blood from his mouth, legs shaky. He stared at Ray, eyes sharp now. He wasn’t just trying to survive anymore — he was analyzing.

  Hajime’s mind raced.

Ray lunged again, faster than Hajime could blink.

This time, Hajime didn’t try to dodge outright. He leaned just enough to make it like he failed to react, leaving his side exposed.

  Ray took the bait.

Hajime felt the shift in energy — Ray was already behind him.

Hajime threw himself backward with everything he had, twisting his body mid-fall. His leg shot out, a reckless, desperate kick aimed where Ray should be.

For the first time in the entire fight — he felt contact. His foot slammed into Ray’s ribs, sending him flying back several meters.

Ray skidded across the ground, landing on one knee. He looked up, stunned for a moment… before his grin widened.

"Not bad," Ray chuckled. "Looks like you finally figured something out." He stood up, cracking his knuckles. "But one hit’s not enough, Hajime. If you wanna save Sockoo, you’ll need a lot more than that."

Hajime staggered to his feet, his body barely holding together — but his flames burned brighter than before. His eyes, still sharp and unwavering, locked onto Ray.

  The training wasn’t over yet.

Hajime’s legs erupted in blue flames, the intensity flickering wildly like an uncontrollable storm. The heat warped the air around him, and the ground beneath his feet cracked from the sudden burst of energy. His body screamed in pain, but his mind was locked in.

Ray’s eyes widened, impressed. "Oh? You’re finally using those flames properly?" He smirked, rolling his shoulders. "Let’s see if you can keep up, then."

Hajime didn’t respond — he couldn’t. His focus was razor-sharp. The flames weren’t just for speed this time. He could feel it — his legs felt lighter, faster, stronger. The burning pain was still there, but it didn’t matter anymore.

He dashed forward, and in an instant, he was gone.

Ray barely had time to react before Hajime appeared right in front of him, his flaming leg swinging in a brutal arc. Ray blocked it with his forearm, but the force sent him skidding back.

"Ha! Not bad, kid!" Ray laughed, even as his arm trembled from the impact.

But Hajime wasn’t done. He disappeared again — his speed now unpredictable, his movements no longer following a pattern. He reappeared behind Ray this time, launching a spinning kick.

Ray dodged at the last second, but Hajime twisted mid-air, flames bursting from his feet to redirect himself. His leg slammed into Ray’s shoulder, sending him crashing into the ground.

Hajime landed, panting heavily, but his flames blazed even brighter. His body was beyond exhausted, but his will pushed him forward.

Ray got up slowly, dusting himself off. "Alright... maybe you’re finally worth going all out against." His smile turned sharper, more dangerous. "Don’t die on me yet, Hajime."

Hajime clenched his fists, blue flames roaring around his legs. His voice came out low, but determined.

The real fight had only just begun.

The moment Ray unleashed his full power, the air shifted — it felt like the entire world got heavier. A crushing force erupted from him, his aura bursting out like a shockwave. The ground cracked, and even the wind seemed to retreat in fear.

Hajime’s blue flames flickered violently, but his body froze. His eyes widened, pupils trembling as his instincts screamed at him to run — but his legs wouldn’t move. His mind blurred, his heart pounded in his chest, and before he could even react...

  His body collapsed.

He didn’t even feel the hit — he was knocked unconscious just from Ray’s overwhelming presence.

Ray stood there for a moment, his wild grin fading as he saw Hajime’s unmoving form. His energy slowly died down, and his expression turned to one of guilt.

“…Ah. Crap.” He sighed, scratching the back of his head.

Hanamoto and Gondo came running over from the sidelines, looks of concern on their faces.

"Ray! You idiot!" Gondo snapped. "You weren’t supposed to him!"

Ray groaned, rubbing his face. "I didn’t think he’d pass out just from my aura… I was trying to push him, not break him." He sighed again, kneeling next to Hajime.

Selene appeared at the entrance of the training grounds, a bucket of water in her hands. She raised an eyebrow at the scene. "Let me guess — Ray got carried away again?"

Ray grumbled. "He’s tougher than this… I thought he could handle it." He glanced at Hajime, his voice quieter. "He needs to get stronger, fast. If Sockoo’s really with those monsters, holding back isn’t gonna cut it."

Selene walked over and knelt beside Hajime, gently placing a hand on his forehead. "His body’s burning up… but his flame’s still going." She smiled softly. "He hasn’t given up yet. He’s just resting."

Ray stared at him for a moment longer, his expression softening. "…He really is something else."

Selene chuckled. "He reminds me of you, back when you were all talk and no control."

Ray huffed. "Yeah, well… let’s hope he doesn’t end up like me."

Selene tilted her head. "You mean strong?"

Ray looked away, voice low. "...No. I mean alone."

The field went quiet, only the sound of the wind rustling through the broken terrain. Hajime, even unconscious, still had a faint flicker of blue flame around him — refusing to die out

Each member of the Music Club was cast into their own personal hell, forced to confront weakness, fear, and limits they had never crossed before. No comfort. No shortcuts. Only survival.

But the true cost of becoming strong… is only starting to show.
