After the Royals decided to talk over dinner, I was brought to a room to change into more suitable clothes. I suppose my white t-shirt and blue jeans might not fit when having dinner with a Royal Family? I was given a pure white tunic and pants made of a soft material similar to silk, a white undershirt and black leather boots as well to wear. With the new clothes put on, I walked out the door of the guest room I was brought to, and a maid asked for me to follow her to the dining room.

  / Step. Step. Step./

  Walking for around 10 minutes, I eventually made it to a giant room. Colors mixed together on the walls and ceiling combining different hues of red, blue and green. All brought together by a giant chandelier that took in the colors of the walls and ceiling, which combined them into a white illumination that covered the room in its light. Looking fully up at the ceiling, past the chandelier, I had to guess it was 3 stories tall... And the room was as wide as a football field on top of that as well. In the center of the room, sat 3 figures all dressed in similar clothing to me. The closest to me was Warrick, sitting at the head of the table, dressed in a tunic similar to me but colored white with red accents. Aqua sat to his left, dressed in a light green dress that contrasts the deep blue of her hair and eyes making her stand out in all of the light in the room.

  " !"

  " ?"

  Sitting to the right of Aqua, was Sarah who left me entranced for a moment. Dressed in a black dress with purple accents that drew your attention to her hair and eyes I was spellbound and at a loss for words for a moment. Sarah looked at me and I could see a look of confusion form on her face before turning back to her mother for a moment... Seeing that I had arrived, as I was behind to the right of her parents, Sarah found it in her to gesture to me with her hands and invited me to sit opposite of her. I sat as I was asked to, even if there was a spot open next to Warrick no one seemed to mind my placement. Maybe the right side of a King is meant for the male line or something?

  " Welcome John!"

  Warrick happily greeted me in a jovial mood. No doubt the wine glass that was half empty on the table was helping him relieve some of the stress he probably has from Peter's actions earlier. Continuing in that same tone, he proceeded to stand up, as well as Aqua and Sarah following his actions. Warrick then spoke to me after all 3 of the royals were standing.

  " Before anything else, Aqua and I want to extend our Thanks! Without you, I don't know what I would've done. You've saved Our Precious Daughter and for that, we will be Eternally Grateful to you, John."

  Having said that, Warrick and Aqua proceeded to bow their heads and spoke in unison to me in almost a shout.

  "Thank you very much!"

  Not wanting to ruin the mood, I was quick to reply to them in what I hope is the correct way to do it.

  " You're welcome!"

  Sarah, after waiting for her parents to finish with me, proceeded to also thank me again for saving her.

  " I know I have already thanked you, but once again! John Ericsson, thank you so much for saving me from my Curse. I don't know how I can ever repay you!"

  Sarah stated her thanks again, possibly even fuller of gratitude and warm emotion in her voice than the first time she thanked me. I replied to her the same way as I did to her parents.

  " You're Welcome, Sarah. I truly am glad that I was able to save you."

  After I spoke, they all sat back down. And then Warrick began to speak again. This time with an energetic tone to his voice.

  "Before dinner gets here, I'd like to ask, have you thought of a Reward you'd like from us?"

  I leaned back into my chair as I looked at Warrick for a second and answered with something I'd assume would be easy for him.

  " I haven't thought about it. Like I said, I haven't really thought about anything past saving Sarah. I'll leave it to the King and Queen of Diablos to think of an appropriate Reward for me. Seeing as I don't even know the common sense of this world, I'll leave it in your hands."

  Warrick nodded at my words. Aqua smiled at me and then turned to Sarah. And again, it looked like they were communicating something with their eyes? As Sarah began to fidget and look down at the table, Warrick took my attention off of her and back to him as he responded to me.

  " So be it. Aqua and I will bestow an appropriate Reward for your Deeds. Most likely after I figure out what happened to Peter I suppose."

  At the mention of his name, I remembered what I saw in Sarah's memories and began to speak.

  " Actually, during the time that I was healing Sarah, I saw a memory of hers that I believe explains some things."

  After stating that, I began to recount what I saw during that trip into Sarah's mind.

  " So, it was the same for you? hmm."

  After finishing the explanation to the 3 of them, Sarah muttered something under her breath that I couldn't make out again? While I was trying to focus on what she said, Warrick spoke to me again.

  " Thank you for that information, however this makes no sense. Peter has an Assassin Job Class with a 2nd Job of Lightning Mage. So, I need to find how he obtained Curses. It couldn't be Dorothy, besides her being a Lifelong Friend of Aqua, her Jobs are Monk and Farmer."

  Warrick sat back in his chair now as he thought for a brief moment. After that, he finished his thoughts on the matter with something resembling a plan.

  " Something doesn't add up obviously. I'll have to change the way we interrogate Peter to get to the bottom of this. But that will need to be for later, right now, I think we should start speaking about this world for you."

  Shifting gears, I looked at all 3 of them and ask if they could explain the Job System to me first. I mentioned how my Status stated I had a total of 4 Jobs, but three weren't Unlocked and also I had 1 title with 4 other titles blank. They looked as if they just realized I just arrived here a few hours ago. And Aqua began to speak to me slowly.

  " To begin with, I'll state that there are 8 sentient beings on Gaia who were gifted the Job System from the Gods. They are as follows. Demonkin, Humankin, Elfkin, Dark Elfkin, BeastKin, Dwarves, Dragonkin and Spiritkin. The "kin" suffix is attached as the traditional way of naming the sentient beings besides Dwarves, but now adays, everyone removes the Kin except for Beastkin and Dragonkin as a general rule. Though we haven't actually spoken to Dragonkin in around 1000 years."

  I can see the aura of a teacher bursting forth as Aqua continued speaking.

  " To explain all the Abilities of the Races and Jobs will take too much time I'm afraid. So for now, I'll just tell you about Humans Unique Traits! To start with, Humans are the physically frailest of the Races! To make up for this, the Gods granted the Humankin of ancient times 3 Boons to match the other Races Natural Strength. Those would be the 4 Job Classes compared to say... Us Demons and our 2 Job Classes. The 2nd Boon was the Exclusive and Powerful Hero, Saint Lord and Paladin Job Classes! There are many Race Exclusive Classes that are more or less the same Job, just with Characteristics from the Race and Person thrown in! For instance, Demon King and Human King are both Job Classes with similar Abilities, but the Unique Abilities are based on the Individual's personality and Race. However, there is no equivalent for the 3 Special Job Classes of the Humans for other Races. The closest you could find is there being Classes around that can match them in other ways. There are Jobs that can match the Hero and Paladin in Combat Ability for the other Races, but there is no match in terms of the Healing Capabilities of the Paladin and Saint Lord Classes for the other Races! Though in reality, there's a wide birth between them as not even the Paladin can heal as well as a Saint Lord can, but in comparison, the Paladin is far better at combat than the Saint Lord. Finally, there's the 3rd Boon, the Title System which bestows Titles onto a Human after meeting certain Criteria. For instance, your Otherworlder Title is a Unique Title only obtained from traveling to Gaia from a different world."

  As I absorbed the information, a question dawned on me, so I proceeded to ask Aqua.

  "So how does one gain a 2nd or 3rd job Aqua?"

  "Allow me to answer that one!"

  Warrick perked up after listening to his wife's voice for some time.

  " To obtain a new Job, there are 3 consistent ways to do it."

  Warrick raised 3 fingers on his right hand as he talked.

  " The 1st and easiest way, is to have a being designated as a King do it. As in, I can grant you a New Job as one of the Abilities of my Job as a Demon King!"

  Moving 1 finger down, Warrick continued on.

  " The 2nd easiest is to Level Up your Job and it will Evolve into a Better Class. For instance, a Warrior, depending on the personality and habits of the person in question, can become a Knight, Barbarian or even a Dual Swordsman and there are even more options besides even that. The same choice exists for many other Jobs. However, in your case John, as a Paladin, it is a bit different. The Paladin Job is one of the Highest Tier Job Classes based on the Warrior Job Class. The only other Job that is comparable to it is the Hero job."

  Putting his 2nd finger down and leaving his index finger up he continued on.

  " The 3rd and hardest method, is to be bestowed a Job from a God, but it's become increasingly rare for a Job outside of a King Job to be bestowed as time as marched on. The last example being the last Human Hero from 300 years ago, Dalton the Swordbreaker."

  Finally, Warrick put the last finger down on his hand... But listening to him, there was something that I couldn't help but wonder about. So I decided to ask him about it.

  " Say, Warrick, you said " consistent". What do you mean by that?"

  " Not bad."

  Warrick and Aqua smiled at my question. Warrick quickly complimented me before answering my question.

  " Well, I said "consistent", because that's what they are, there's one more method of gaining a Job, generally speaking. The last method is Unlocking a New Job yourself."

  " How do you do that?"

  " That's the question at the heart of the topic honestly."

  " What?"

  Instead of an answer, Warrick said something even more confusing to me. Seeing that I was confused, Warrick began to speak again.

  " From what we understand about it, because it's not a settled science. There are 2 main components to Unlocking a Job without a King or God's help. The 1st is " Emotion"."

  " Emotion?"

  " Yes, feeling a strong Emotion can trigger your body to undergo a process that causes you to Unlock a new Job. The 2nd component is " Talent"."

  " Talent?"

  " Yes, Talent. As in you're so Talented that it comes as 2nd nature to Unlock a new Job."

  " This seems complicated."

  " It is, that's why I mentioned the first 3 methods before this. It's best to stick with them since there's no telling how long it would take for someone to Unlock a 2nd Job naturally. Though there are cases, considering you haven't already done it, it's safe to say you lack the Ability to do so, John."

  " Fair enough..."

  I took a breath as I tried to digest everything that Aqua and Warrick had told me, after a few moments though, Warrick spoke to me again.

  " So, after saying all of this, would you like me to grant you a 2nd job John?"

  After a short while, Warrick asked me a question... But from the question, I had one other question to ask.

  " Would this be the reward you were thinking of giving me?"

  I asked it, not because I thought Warrick would be trying to do something sneaky, but I was just wondering about it. I mean, it seems fair, right? As I asked, both Sarah and Aqua looked at Warrick, seemingly displeased at his offer to me. Warrick answered my question after glancing over to his family.

  " No, this is just a Gift for a friend, John."

  Warrick responded to my question quite warmly while waving his hand up and down at his family at his left side.

  " Well, it would be rude to turn down a gift from a friend, so sure I accept your offer."

  I answered in the affirmative, somewhat hoping for something cool to come.

  " Okay, hold still."

  Warrick said that to me with a relaxed expression as he held his palm out towards me and fired a deep red and white burst of mana that hit me in the chest and absorbed into me.
