Chapter 12: Hotel Peeping
“Xu Danlu?” Zhang Yang’s expression turned complicated. She and Bai Liangfeng booked a room together?
Wasn’t that pretty normal?
Judging from how they acted during class breaks, they were probably well-practiced at it. Was he supposed to barge in and cheer them on?
“What, you know that chick?” Gao Qi quickly noticed Zhang Yang’s odd reaction and smirked. “Don’t tell me she’s your ex or something?”
Zhang Yang glanced at her but didn’t reply. Instead, he asked thoughtfully, “Why don’t you explain your grudge with Bai Liangfeng first? Don’t tell me you’re doing this for justice or something.”
Gao Qi shrugged, gave him a look, and said calmly, “Remember that big incident in the Chemistry Department three years ago? A junior named He Mei jumped off the teaching building—with her seven-month-old baby inside her—and died instantly.”
“He Mei?” Zhang Yang immediately remembered her. A look of pity crossed his face. “Yeah, I know. She was my senior—one of the prettiest girls in the department. I heard the baby belonged to a professor.”
“Professor? Don’t make me laugh. It was that bastard Bai Liangfeng who got her pregnant, then coldly dumped her. Desperate, Meizi jumped. His father, Bai Wensheng, paid to bury the story and pinned it on some made-up professor. No evidence left. Poor Meizi died for nothing.”
“From the way you’re talking, you knew Senior He Mei?”
Gao Qi’s eyes flashed sharply. “She was my best friend in high school.”
“Your classmate?” So that was it. Zhang Yang looked at Gao Qi again. Judging by her expression, she wasn’t lying. He hadn’t expected Bai Liangfeng to do something so heartless—what a piece of human trash.
Gao Qi walked back to her desk and changed the subject. “By the way, you should call me Senior too. I’m two years ahead of you, majoring in Accounting in the Math Department.”
“Accounting? How’d you end up in hotel management?” Zhang Yang blinked. That was one of Meining University’s signature programs. How did a graduate from there end up as a hotel admin manager?
“Don’t be so surprised. Even the best major can’t beat the army of graduates out there.” Gao Qi shifted her feet, her plump hips leaning against the desk, her short black skirt outlining a seductive curve. With a self-mocking smile, she added, “Besides, my family owns shares in this hotel. Anyway, enough about that—so, are you in or not?”
A rich beauty too, huh? Zhang Yang eyed the busty woman. Her small movements were so tempting he nearly lost focus.
Only when she shot him an annoyed glare did he snap back to his senses. Awkwardly, he said, “They’re both consenting adults. Maybe it’s not a good idea.”
“Fine, forget it. But I’ll bet you anything Xu Danlu isn’t willing.” Gao Qi smirked. “When she came in, it was obvious from her face—she didn’t want to be here.”
“So what?” Zhang Yang doubted that. At least from what he’d seen, Xu Danlu and Bai Liangfeng definitely looked like a mutual thing.
Gao Qi gave him a disdainful look. “If you’re right, then catching them on camera won’t hurt anyone. But if I’m right, Bai Liangfeng’s screwed—and after that, he’ll have to crawl to you.”
This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.
“With his personality, that’s unlikely. If I do this, I might end up screwed myself.” Zhang Yang glanced at her. “That’s a hornet’s nest.”
Hearing that, Gao Qi looked disappointed. “Forget it then. Pretend I didn’t say anything. You can go.”
Zhang Yang shrugged and walked toward the door. As he reached it, he turned back. “Hey, what’s the pay for a room service worker?”
“What…” Gao Qi was caught off guard but quickly recovered. “Evening shifts only—7 to 11 PM, four hours a day, 1,200 a month.”
Seeing him interested, she quickly added, “Night snack included.”
“Deal!” Zhang Yang agreed immediately. Who cared about Bai Liangfeng? That jerk mocked him daily anyway. This was the perfect revenge—and 1,200 yuan wasn’t bad at all.
After changing into a uniform and grabbing a key card, Zhang Yang arrived at Room 419. According to Gao Qi’s info, Bai Liangfeng and Xu Danlu had been inside for ten minutes by now—definitely naked already. To be sure, Zhang Yang pressed his ear to the door to listen.
Sure enough, faint sounds came from inside: “No… stop… don’t… don’t…”
That voice, laced with crying and resistance, combined with the creaking bed, sounded exactly like something from a Japanese adult film.
Somehow, hearing those lewd sounds made Zhang Yang’s body react inappropriately.
But he forced himself to stop listening, coughed, and knocked. “Room service.”
Without waiting for a response, he swiped the card and entered. Damn, Bai Liangfeng hadn’t even locked the door.
“What the fuck, can’t you see the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign?!” Bai Liangfeng’s loud roar echoed the moment the door opened.
Clothes were scattered everywhere. Bai Liangfeng was kneeling naked by the bed, his pale ass pointed at the door. When he turned his head and saw Zhang Yang, his eyes widened, and he instinctively crouched to cover himself.
Too late. Zhang Yang had already raised the digital camera and started recording, clicking his tongue as he commented, “Damn, that’s tiny as hell. If this leaks, Meining University’s reputation’s gone.”
“You bastard! I’ll kill you!” Bai Liangfeng jumped off the bed naked, lunging at Zhang Yang to snatch the camera, but Zhang Yang dodged easily. Bai fell flat on the floor, his crotch smashing against the cold tiles.
“Aaah!” He flipped over, clutching his crotch and screaming in pain.
That’s when Zhang Yang noticed the woman on the bed—Xu Danlu. To his surprise, she wasn’t completely naked.
Still, her appearance wasn’t far from it. Her clothes were mostly torn.
Her purple spaghetti strap dress was ripped at the straps, leaving only a loose bra covering half her chest, with one perky mound fully exposed, trembling in the air.
Her skirt was pushed up to her waist, leaving her lower body almost bare except for half-removed black lace panties. Her long, pale legs were crossed tightly together, desperately resisting. The dark patch between them was half-hidden, half-visible—enough to make anyone’s blood boil.
But her cheeks and elbows were clearly bruised, and her red lips still carried a trace of blood.
SM? Zhang Yang’s eyes widened. The scene was so erotic that he instinctively raised the camera.
But before he could react, Xu Danlu suddenly burst into tears. Like a rabbit freed from its cage, she jumped off the bed, clutching her dress, and ran straight into Zhang Yang’s arms, sobbing uncontrollably.
Her tears—or maybe saliva—smeared all over his chest.
But that wasn’t the main point. The main point was her chest pressed tightly against his, her arms clinging to his waist. The two of them were in full contact, and Zhang Yang could clearly feel her soft mounds rubbing against him.
Seeing this, Bai Liangfeng went insane. Ignoring his pain, he grabbed a lamp and swung it at Zhang Yang.
“You motherfucker, die!”
Normally, Zhang Yang could’ve easily dodged, but Xu Danlu was holding onto him too tightly. He couldn’t move and could only watch as the lamp crashed into the back of his head.
Then everything went black. For the first time in his life, Zhang Yang was knocked out—by a naked man, no less.
When he woke up, the first thing he saw was Xu Danlu’s flushed face—way too close. Their lips were touching. Zhang Yang could feel her soft lips pressed against his as she breathed into him—CPR.
When he suddenly opened his eyes, Xu Danlu yelped, jerked back, and blushed furiously, crouching to the side.
Zhang Yang’s head still throbbed. He touched it and found a huge lump, but no blood. Turning his head, he realized he was still in the room, but Bai Liangfeng was gone—only Xu Danlu remained.
“You’re awake?” Xu Danlu looked guilty, glancing at him before tugging her torn dress to cover herself.
“Where is he?” Zhang Yang glanced at her. She was crouching, and her legs were positioned directly toward his face. Even though she kept them together, he could still see everything between those white thighs—the black lace framing that enticing valley.
Noticing his gaze, Xu Danlu quickly stood up, blushing. “He thought you were dead, so he ran.”
“Why didn’t you run?” Zhang Yang pushed himself up, rubbing his head. The lump was huge—probably a concussion. Before fainting, the system had chimed: 【Act of bravery. Reward: +3 points. Total: -47. Title: Vile Scum Overflowing with Evil. Keep up the effort, scum.】
So he knew Gao Qi was right—Xu Danlu hadn’t been willing. Otherwise, the system would’ve judged him as breaking up a couple.
He only asked to hear it from her directly.
Xu Danlu bit her lip and frowned at him instead of answering. “You’re a hotel worker?”
Zhang Yang looked down at his uniform and nodded. “Just making a living.”
“So you came to save me? Or just to humiliate me?” Xu Danlu pressed her lips together again. Zhang Yang’s answer meant everything—if he’d come to save her, then she’d already repaid him by saving his life. But if he’d come to take photos, then she was the real loser.
The moment she asked, she regretted it. What kind of question was that? Of course he’d pick the ‘right’ answer.
But to her surprise, Zhang Yang scratched his head awkwardly and admitted honestly, “Actually… I just wanted to shoot a scandal video. Maybe make some money.”
“Go to hell!” Xu Danlu’s brows shot up. She kicked out at him, then thought better of it and stomped on his arm instead. Grabbing his jacket from the floor, she wrapped it around herself and stormed out.
“Come on! No sense of humor at all,” Zhang Yang muttered, clutching his aching arm. “I did save you, you know.”
But Xu Danlu was already gone. Zhang Yang rubbed his throbbing arm and tried to collect his thoughts. He’d been knocked out—did CPR even work like that?
“Whatever. At least I earned three points.” Zhang Yang groaned as he got up, then suddenly froze. His eyes darted around the room. “Shit. Where’s the camera?”
