XLIV: FEARLESS

“AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!” DEXIUS SCREAMED as the Vexan Mawl Beast bit into his right leg THROUGH his thought to be ‘impenetrable’ armor with the use of its enhanced jaw strength and HARDER THAN DIAMOND fangs.

As the beast dug its teeth deeply into Dexius’s right thigh muscle and bone, the Last Guardian Warrior desperately cried, “URGH… PUH-PULSAR CANNON!!!”

SUDDENLY, in a milli-cycle. Dexius’s left gauntlet had instantly transformed into a cylindrical-shaped Pulsar Energy Cannon.

  ZAP! ZAP! ZAP! ZAP! ZAP!

After firing off FIVE blue, Pulsar Energy Shots at the Mawl’s head, Dexius had sent the hulking, fur-coated alien creature several feet backwards.

With his leg now free, but severely injured, Dexius aimed his Pulsar Cannon at the beast again… WHICH WAS STILL ALIVE.

Shaking off Dexius’s numerous ‘energy attacks’ due how tough its protective fur coat and skin was, the Mawl returned to all fours and lunged itself back at him before he could even fire off another shot.

Then, all that could be heard after were… DEXIUS’S BLOOD-CURDLING SCREAMS.

After a brief bit of searching (and walking in on several ‘unholy acts’ three rooms prior) Kyle finally found a small, unused ‘guest room’ up on the third (and top) floor level of the Russell Family Cabin.

Kicking open the unlocked door, Kyle carried the unconscious tomboy into the darkened room.

Laying her down on a full-sized bed with a white, fuzzy blanket and sheet covering it, Kyle said, “Here ya go, Sam. Home free.”

After laying Sam down, Kyle went to pull away from her.

Opening her wavering eyes, Sam reached out towards Kyle whilst calling out, “NOT SO FAST, KYLER! HA-HA! Come… OOOOOAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!”

Before Sam could finish her sentence, she instantly vomited ALL OVER Kyle’s face AND chest.

Now COATED in the tomboy’s fresh, hot, and FOUL-SMELLING puke, Kyle sat there, on the edge of the bed… FROZEN IN SHOCK.

As Sam proceeded to fall back on the bed and pass out (for real this time), all Kyle could say was, “FUCK.”

“HOLY SHIT!!! YOU ACTUALLY CAME?!” a very buzzed (but not drunk) Josh Russell cried out ecstatically after spotting his former best friend and fellow teammate, John Hale Jr. down on the first-floor level of his family’s cabin.

The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.

Wearing a white button up with the sleeves rolled up past his elbows, dark denim jeans, and fresh white sneaks, Josh rushed on over to John, who stared at him like he was the physical embodiment of the Bubonic Plague.

“BRO, I can’t believe that you made it!” Josh shouted over the song ‘Party Rock Anthem’ by LMFAO, which was ‘booming’ through Diego’s Loudspeakers up on the Cabin’s second floor level.

With a stern look on his face, John responded, “You invited me.”

“Yeah. Yeah, I know I did,” Josh nodded whilst still smiling. “It’s just I thought that… That you...”

  “Wouldn’t come?”

  “Well, um… Yeah.”

“I didn’t want to… But I didn’t have anything else goin’ on tonight, so I said, ‘fuck it’... AND I CAME.”

  “HELL YEAH, MAN! THAT’S WASSUP!”

Stepping aside so John could walk alongside right, Josh said, “HERE! Follow me, dude! The KEGS are around back!

“I can find them myself,” John gritted as he brushed past Josh and headed towards the first-floor level’s back deck area.

Left behind, Josh said awkwardly, “Oh! Uh… OKAY! COOL! Hell yeah, J! LET’S FUCKIN’ RAAAAAAAAAAAGE!!!!!”

After blasting the Mawl with multiple Pulsar Cannon energy shots, Dexius had finally managed to injure the savage monster… Slightly.

As the Vexan Mawl Beast took a moment to rest while its tough, fur-covered body smoked from the energy shots, the Blue Guardian also took a milli-cycle to regain his composure.

With his armored suit battered, torn, and sparking from the beast’s violent attacks, Dexius used what was left of his vastly diminished strength to push himself back up to his feet.

“Urgh… Ugh… Tis… Not grand. Ughhhh,” Dexius said between pained grunts as he watched his Pulsar Cannon revert back into his regular, five-fingered gauntlet.

As soon as his energy weapon had vanished, the rest of the Lieutenant’s badly damaged armor began to ‘fizzle away’ into ‘digital dust’, returning back to his still glowing Guardian Energy Shifter.

“URGH…. THRACK!” Dexius cursed as blue blood began to gush out of the severe bite wound in thigh as his true physical form was now left out in the open for the Mawl to attack.

Placing his hands over the wound to stop the excessive bleeding, Dexius gritted his teeth as the barely injured Mawl snarled at the injured warrior.

Looking over to his left to see his still activated Pulsar Saber lying on a brush pile, Dexius tried to keep still as the Mawl ‘dared’ him to make a move with a feral growl.

“Huff… Huff… Come forth… COME FORTH!!!” Dexius fearlessly challenged as the Mawl dug its claws deeply into the dirt.

Tightening his hands into hardened fists as he pulled them away from his wounded leg and held them down at his sides, the Blue Guardian Warrior kept his teeth gritted whilst now locking eyes with the vicious alien monster.

“I SAID, ‘COME FORTH’ YOU FOUL THRACKING BEAST,” Dexius cried out at the top of his lungs as hot saliva dripped from the Mawl Beast’s fanged, crimson teeth. “COME FORTH AND FACE YOUR END!!!!

Dexius then leapt towards his Pulsar Saber as the Mawl lunged at him at the same time.

Landing on the brush pile, the cunning warrior grabbed hold of his Pulsar Saber’s hilt at the last possible milli-cycle and flipped over to face the Mawl… WHO HAD JUMPED AT HIM IN MID-AIR.
