Chapter 13

“These are some interesting runes, related to common maybe”

The guild master was looking over the information we gathered on the scouting run of the dungeon. He looked over every bit of data we brought out of the dungeon, every detail he is looking threw seems to draw a strange reaction from him. He sets down the last report showing the runes we picked up off the run into it and is considering it deeply. He looks at each of us, assessing everything he has to work with to make the case, and after that the classification of the dungeon.

“The creatures seem pretty slandered for the location it appeared in” He taps a picture on one of the pictures “Except for this things.” The creature in question was the one that was the defender of the core room at the end, and I can’t help but agree. Of all the monsters that my team and I have ever faced that one was, if not unique, extremely to be found in a dungeon.

“It felt more like a construct then a monster,” Orkus states thinking back on it. “Like something that was purpose built instead of forming from mana.”

Venos nods “Even compared to dungeons suffused with earth mana and summoning elementals, this is still wholly different.”

  “Then we can use that”

I look from my team to the guild master and really think on it a bit, ticking through my mind of how useful this all is. “If age is related to the complexity of the dungeon, and it made this”

A wave of understanding flashes through the team as the guild master smiles slips before he puts it back under and nods. As he moves to speak again there is a knock at the door, and while annoyed with it the guild master moves to open the door. There is a muffled bit of conversation that we can’t really make any words of the conversation but it is clear it gets tenser and tenser. After a very long momment when the conversation dies out as we wait longer and longer. Then the door slams open and the guild master walks in, moving all the papers off his desk and into a drawer as he takes up a weapon.

“we need to head to the dungeon now.” He orders.

“What happened,” Venos spoke quickly as we all moved to follow, there was a sense of urgancy as that is rare to when the guild master is like this.

“The church is on the way.”
