We have been given a job, the weaver has given us something to do, from the moment we where made, we have purpose. Aside from the weaving of our home we have been given the mission to weave these tents for the Weaver’s creatures. The images the weaver provided where odd, how such intricate weaving could exist was strange. The weaver though is generous, as he has not specified how we should weave these objects just that they must be recognizable as what he has show us. So we all begin the job the weaver has set for us, interlacing our webs and slowly figuring out how to spin together. It is a long process, trying to get all of us to figure out how to properly work together, and how to properly weave together. It is something we are all willing to fail at so that after countless failures we can succeed beautifully. So we continue our work, weaving slowly and surly, making these “tents” that the weaver wants us to make.
Our first attempt is slow and ends in complete and utter failure, as it doesn’t hold structure as we finish. We don’t know why it failed so utterly, our instincts where clear on how to weave and we just applied it here. One of us, the third of the nest, raised a leg and posited to us that maybe that was the issue with out construction. Since we where designed to spin webs and where very efficient at that, we didn’t consider weaving other ways. Yet we all really looked at it, and thought of the images the weaver gave us, we realized they where spun different. There was likely deep similarities, as who would really try to learn to weave without looking to spiders for inspiration. So together we beagn working. We diverted our work to learning how to spin a fabric from our webs directly. It would be extremely difficult, since we know nothing of spinning fabrics.

Our 24 spindly legs begin to click around our little works space, spinnerets begin forming the threads we need. Three was the one to begin looking at the threads and how to connect them. She came up with another idea, not only slightly separating from us with this, but also seeming less spider like because of it. She began spinning the non sticky threads, and slowly but surly setting out what appears to be a lattice. Threads going over and under other threads, not densely, but something seemed to be clicking for three. She began clicking excitedly, seeming having an excitement from this as we watched her, were curious but not nearly as much as her. She was different, unlike us, but she seemed to still want what we want, so we continued our work. Following three’s lead we began to slowly spin out these lattices, trying to see how this could lead to what the weaver wanted from all of us. We where also hoping the weaver would not be mad at the change in three, and would let her continue with us.
