Chapter 69

  Chapter 69

"Coming out of hyperspace now,"said Michael Jackson.

The Commonwealth fleet had arrived in a neighboring system outside of Tollana. This time with the addition of three Commonwealth enhanced Biliskinir class vessels in tow.

"I've added ablative armor, a secondary Lantean deflector shield as well as all of our standard lantean weaponry."explained Reva. "With the elves onboard you all should even be able to fire drones. I've also supplemented the neutrino based power core with ZPMs and modified your ion cannons to be more like mine. After the last battle I've been increasing the potency of the Samantha's crimson cannons and I think I found an output great enough that they will seriously pack a punch. Their shields won't be able to protect them from your guns."

Reva was explaining to Thor, Heimdall, and Freyr all of the upgrades to their new ships. She had printed two more Biliskinir class vessels to supplement their fleet and they were now preparing for whatever they might face on Tollana.

"These are a completely new class of ship," said Thor, looking over the ship's new systems.

  "Indeed they are Fraendi,"said Heimdall.

Freyr chuckled and said, "After the success of the Samantha Carter, we should consider renaming the Biliskinir The Teal'c."

  "Why is that?"asked Reva.

Thor laughed, "Oh when you see him, you'll find out."

As they were speaking a loud voice could be heard on the ship's intercom.

"Attention, this is Amos. I need everyone to gather in the hangar bay of the Samantha Carter. We have crucial objectives to discuss."

As the various crews of the Commonwealth fleet materialized in the expansive hangar, Amos stood before them, ready to deliver one final rallying address before their next mission.

"Come, gather around, everyone," Amos called out, his voice echoing off the metallic walls, drawing their attention.

"This upcoming battle may well be our final stand as a united team. All the struggles we’ve faced over the past year converge into this single moment. I want to express my gratitude to each of you for the tireless effort you’ve put forth—not just in recent days, but throughout this entire journey that has made this Commonwealth a reality."

He paused, allowing the gravity of his words to sink in. "As you’re aware, Chancellor Omak is dead, and the Goa'uld have likely infiltrated the Tollan government. Here we are, gathered at the edge of Tollan space, bracing ourselves for the impending conflict. While we await the storm to break, Thor, Heimdall, and Freyr will accompany a small delegation from the Lantean Commonwealth to pay respects at Chancellor Omak’s funeral and initiate contact with the Curia. Though their government teeters on the brink of compromise, we will extend our hand in hopes of welcoming them into the Commonwealth."

The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.

As he spoke, a flicker of determination ignited in the eyes of those assembled. As Amos gazed into their eyes, he continued:

“Meanwhile, Reva along with several elves will be traversing the planet, distributing the new Lantean Beam Cannons she has diligently crafted since our time on Taranis. Fueled by ZPMs, these powerful armaments should effectively neutralize any threat the Goa'uld dare unleash upon Tollana.”

With those words, Amos could feel the weight of shared resolve in the hangar bay—the calm before the storm, as they prepared to fight not just for themselves, but for the future of their shared vision.

Amos turns to look at Sarah who was now wearing her own blue Star Fleet dress uniform,

"While that is happening Dr. Gardner, accompanied by Michael Jackson, will be looking for the phase shifting weapons the Tollan have made. You do know where they are, right Sarah?"

Sarah stepped forward, clinched her hands behind her back and said, "Yes, I still have Osiris's memories and I know where the Tollan are keeping the weapons."

“Excellent,” Amos replied, his voice firm with purpose. “At the first sign of trouble, we will rally to Tollana and confront the Goa'uld. We cannot underestimate their firepower or the size of their fleet. What remains clear is this: we must protect Tollana at all costs.” His declaration echoed in the hearts of those around him as they nodded and raised their voices in a chorus of determination.

Warrick stood at the forefront of the vast hangar bay, flanked by his fellow Hebridean and Serrakin allies. His gaze drifted upward to the stage where Amos held court, and he called out, “Amos, I've reached out to my people, and General Montrose is mobilizing a fleet to lend us their strength over Tollana.”

“Excellent! That’s truly wonderful news, Warrick!” Amos replied, a smile breaking across his face at the prospect of bolstered Hebridean support.

As the weight of their battle began to lift with this new alliance, Kalan stepped forward, urgency in his voice. “Amos, I've also made contact with Orban's governing council. After grasping the gravity of the situation, they are dispatching a fleet of Lantean Warships and are eager to join the fray.”

Amos beamed, the lifting spirit of hope evident in his expression. “Really, Kalan? That is astonishing! This is all coming together for a remarkable victory.”

With a determined look sweeping over him, Amos turned his attention back to the assembled crowd in the Samantha’s Hangar. “Alright, everyone. This is it. Head to your stations. The next time we convene, it will be in orbit above Tollana.”

As the crews disembarked, Amos took a deep breath and walked over to both Sha're and Sarah, both stunning in their blue Star Fleet uniforms.

"Hey you two, we need to talk," said Amos, his voice low and steady.

  "What's going on,"inquired Sha're.

"Yeah, what's the matter Amos?" Sarah followed.

"Listen, we're at the end of our journey together. SG-1 should be in attendance at the funeral and that means –"

  "Daniel,"finished Sarah.

"Exactly. Neither of you know each other so I'll make this quick: Sha're is Daniel's Wife and Sarah is Daniel's ex fiance."

Sarah quickly turned to look at Sha're, a look of astonishment plastered on her face.

"Uh, I had no idea Daniel was married. I'm sorry, I feel embarrassed."

Sha're folded her arms and looked at Sarah, "That's because I was dead."

Sarah nearly choked, "Dead? Well how are you alive?"

Amos interjected and said, "That's because we used advanced alien technology to resurrect her. The only real problem is; Daniel doesn't know."

"Oh," blurted Sarah. "Well considering that I was possessed by an alien parasite a few hours ago, and am currently traveling in the middle of a giant space ship, that makes a lot of sense."

"The reason why I brought you both here is because we need to plan how we're going to tell Daniel. At the end of this mission one of you has to decide who is going to leave first. Both of you leaving is going to cause some issues; Earth's leadership is bound to ask questions. We have to be careful, especially if we want Earth to join the Commonwealth. So please decide amongst yourselves what you want to do."

Sha're and Sarah looked at each other and agreed:

  "We'll work something out."
