  Elementalist Unleashed

General Altone sat behind his desk, quietly working through a stack of paperwork.

Outside his office window, Light City hummed with its usual life. Crowds filled the streets. Protesters shouted into megaphones, their voices echoing between the towering buildings.

He had no idea that hundreds of airships and star fighters were already approaching his airspace.

The protests had been growing more aggressive every day. Superior rights groups marched through the streets with signs raised high.

  Then suddenly—

Every Superior sympathizer’s phone buzzed at once.

A broadcast message flashed across their screens.

The time is now. The revolution begins.

Picket signs slammed against the pavement as the crowd erupted into cheers.

Humans roared into the air like soldiers preparing for war. The chants grew louder, angrier.

  Then the mob charged.

They surged toward the military barricades with reckless fury, completely ignoring the danger.

In seconds, Light City collapsed into chaos.

Riots exploded across multiple districts, forcing police and military units to scatter across the city to contain the violence.

None of them realized the riots were only a distraction.

  A carefully planned ruse.

While the military struggled to control the streets…

The real attack was already underway.

Back in Dark City, the night sky ignited.

Thrusters blazed across the darkness as fleets of airships surged forward.

Below them, the streets rumbled as every able-bodied Superior rushed toward the city gates.

  Moments later—

  Missiles streaked across the sky.

The massive gates separating Dark City from Light City erupted in explosions as rockets tore through the steel walls.

  The gates collapsed inward.

Superior forces poured through the opening.

  Chaos followed.

Superiors sprinted through the streets, unleashing their powers against the soldiers scrambling to form defensive lines.

  Gunfire cracked through the air.

Well-placed headshots dropped several attackers, but the soldiers had been caught completely off guard by the explosions.

  They were already losing ground.

Inside headquarters, alarms began screaming across the command center.

  Reports flooded General Altone’s desk.

  Riots.

  Civilian casualties.

  And now—

A breach in the southern sector.

  Altone stood immediately.

Years of battlefield command sharpened his focus.

“Squad leaders,” he ordered into the comms, “begin civilian extraction immediately.”

“Rally all civilians to the city center. The power plant is equipped with our strongest anti-Superior shields.”

  A voice responded instantly.

“Yes sir! All squads form up!”

“Use your UV scanners. Identify Superiors and humans. Do not get separated.”

Just as one squad leader finished rallying his platoon—

  Star fighters screamed overhead.

  Then the bombs fell.

Explosions ripped through an entire city block.

Fire and debris swallowed soldiers and civilians alike.

The squad leader dove behind a vehicle as shockwaves blasted through the street.

“Get me anti-air!” he shouted into the comms.

  “I want anti-air now!”

Strafing runs tore across the battlefield again and again.

  Then—

From the western district, armored trucks roared into the streets.

Mounted SAM turrets rotated toward the sky.

  Missiles launched.

  One after another.

Explosions ripped through the attacking ships.

But the pilots weren’t ordinary humans.

  They were Superiors.

Flaming wreckage spiraled toward the ground—

And the pilots jumped from the exploding ships.

They landed in the streets and immediately attacked the anti-air units.

  Gunfire erupted again.

Altone’s elite unit pushed forward, firing with disciplined precision.

The squad leader dropped another Superior with a perfect headshot.

Nearby, a woman and child were cornered by an attacker.

  The Superior raised his hand—

  A gunshot cracked.

  The man collapsed.

The squad leader lowered his rifle and reached out to the civilians.

“Move,” he said firmly. “Stay close.”

  He turned to his squad.

  “Form up!”

“Surround the civilians and march toward the city center!”

“Do not let a single Superior break the formation!”

  “Protect them at all costs!”

  Chaos engulfed Light City.

  Buildings collapsed.

  Star fighters strafed the streets.

  Airships bombarded defensive positions.

Several ships even targeted General Altone’s headquarters—

But every missile slammed harmlessly against a glowing force field surrounding the building.

Meanwhile Altone’s elite squad continued pushing toward the city center.

  SAM turrets dropped more aircraft.

  Ground units eliminated attacking Superiors.

  For the moment—

  They were holding.

High above the planet’s atmosphere, Aiden piloted the Advocate ship through the thick clouds.

  Stolen novel; please report.

He stared around the cockpit in amazement.

“This is literally the most advanced piece of machinery I’ve ever seen,” he said breathlessly.

“It has a cloaking device that masks heat signatures. You’d never see this thing unless you looked directly out the window.”

  He tapped the console excitedly.

“And these engines—something this small can actually reach FTL warp speeds!”

  Lita groaned.

  “Aiden… focus.”

  He cleared his throat.

  “Yes. Right. Sorry.”

  He leaned toward the scanner.

“The signal to Skybase should be somewhere around—”

  The display suddenly lit up.

  Everyone went silent.

  A massive structure appeared ahead.

A colossal fortress floated at the edge of the planet’s atmosphere.

Its entire surface was lined with weapons, sensors, and massive docking structures.

  Skybase.

  Aiden swallowed.

  “Well… that’s terrifying.”

The Advocate ship glided silently toward the fortress.

Skybase loomed ahead of them like a mechanical moon, its massive hull stretching across the horizon. Weapons arrays lined its surface, thousands of sensors sweeping through the darkness.

From their cockpit, the structure looked nearly impossible to approach.

Aiden stared at the screen in disbelief.

  “Well… that’s horrifying.”

He cracked his fingers over the console.

“Alright. Let’s see if Advocate technology is as good as everyone says it is.”

  He tapped a command.

  “Activating cloaking.”

The ship’s engines hummed as power shifted through the systems.

The windows instantly darkened, transforming into solid panels as external cameras replaced their view.

Radar grids and heat signatures filled the cockpit display.

Even with the ship sealed off visually, the sensors allowed them to see the battlefield outside with crystal clarity.

Kira leaned forward slightly. “So this is the Empire’s technology,” she murmured. “We really do have a long way to go.”

Naomi folded her arms nervously. “If they are this advanced… why would Clay even try to fight the Empire?”

Lita didn’t look away from the looming fortress.

“Let’s ask him when we see him.”

  Her voice was cold.

“But first we need to find a way in.”

  Aiden scanned the structure.

“Every port is sealed,” he muttered.

  “There’s no obvious entry point.”

  Suddenly—

  Kira tilted her head.

The air around her shifted slightly.

The faint ripple of wind brushed past her ear.

  “There,” she said, pointing.

  “What about that opening?”

  Aiden followed her finger.

A massive circular structure rotated slowly beneath the station.

  “…How did I miss that?”

He zoomed in on the scanner.

“Looks like a tunnel leading directly inside the station… but the heat signatures are insane.”

  Lita crossed her arms.

  “Fly through it.”

Aiden blinked. “…You want me to fly directly into the glowing death tunnel?”

“Yes.” she said with a flat tone.

  Aiden sighed “…Alright then.”

The ship descended toward the opening.

From a distance it resembled the barrel of a massive cannon.

  Dark.

  Silent.

The interior lights flickered faintly along the tunnel walls.

Aiden guided the ship forward slowly.

  No alarms sounded.

  No weapons fired.

  Their cloaking system was working.

Deep within Skybase, Clay watched dozens of security feeds from his command chair.

Cameras monitored every corridor, hangar, and entry point.

  Yet nothing appeared.

The ship remained invisible even to the station’s cameras.

Its outer surface reflected light in a way that made it completely undetectable.

Inside the tunnel, Aiden frowned at the scanner.

“…I think we just flew through a weapon.”

  Naomi leaned forward.

  Her eyes widened.

“I saw this in my Echo Sight.”

“This thing… it could fire straight through the planet’s core.”

  Silence filled the cockpit.

  Lita’s jaw tightened.

  “That means Lloyd…”

  Her voice trailed off.

She started biting her nails again.

Kira gently placed a hand on her knee.

The small gesture calmed her instantly.

  Aiden checked the scanner again.

  “Good news.”

“There’s a hangar tunnel up ahead.”

  He guided the ship forward.

Moments later the ship descended into a massive docking bay.

The hangar stretched for what looked like miles.

Rows of massive aircraft towers lined the walls.

But the bay itself was empty.

  Completely silent.

  Aiden landed the ship slowly.

  The engines powered down.

The four of them stepped out of the ship.

They stood still for a moment.

The scale of Skybase was overwhelming.

“How long has Clay been building this?” Naomi whispered.

  “And how did nobody notice?”

  Lita was already walking.

“We can worry about that later.”

  Her eyes burned with determination.

  “Let’s find Lloyd.”

Aiden pulled out his datapad and activated the tracking program.

A glowing route appeared on the screen.

  “Got him.”

  He pointed down the corridor.

“Direct route to Lloyd’s last energy signature.”

  Then he paused.

“But we are not charging in blindly.”

“Clay has to know we’re coming eventually.”

  Kira nodded.

“I doubt he knows we’re here yet… but he definitely expects someone to come.”

  Lita cracked her knuckles.

“I’ll blast holes through every wall until I find him.”

  Aiden groaned.

“This is exactly why we need a plan.”

He pulled a small device from his pack.

“Naomi. Lita. I need blood samples.”

  They stared at him.

  “Just touch the scanner.”

  He held up the device.

“It’s the same system I used for Lloyd’s tracker. If you use your powers, I’ll be able to locate you instantly.”

  Naomi blinked.

  “You really think of everything.”

  Aiden shrugged.

“You have to when you work with Lloyd.”

  He glanced sideways at Lita.

“He’s almost as reckless as you are.”

  Lita narrowed her eyes.

  “What was that?”

  “…Nothing.”

  He cleared his throat quickly.

“As far as we know, you, Lloyd, and Brandon are first-generation Superiors.”

“That makes you significantly stronger than the others.”

“But we don’t know what Clay has been hiding.”

  “Caution is important.”

  Naomi nodded.

“If we run into soldiers, I can use Echo Sight to see ahead.”

  Kira tilted her head slightly.

“No one will sneak up on us.”

  The wind shifted again.

Aiden reached into his bag and pulled out two pistols.

  “These are Lloyd’s guns.”

“They’re loaded with the anti-Superior rounds I designed.”

He then held up several syringes.

  “And these…”

  Everyone stared.

  “…are emergency measures.”

“I synthesized them from Lloyd’s blood.”

“If I inject this, I temporarily gain Superior-level strength.”

  Naomi looked alarmed.

  “For how long?”

  “Thirty minutes.”

  “And after that?”

  “I collapse.”

  He shrugged.

“So hopefully I won’t need them.”

He slipped the syringes back into the pack.

  “Alright.”

  “No more talking.”

  “Let’s move.”

The four of them stepped into the silent corridors of Skybase.

Every step echoed through the massive structure.

  Then suddenly—

  Kira raised her hand.

  “Stop.”

  The wind shifted again.

  “Two soldiers coming.”

  Naomi stepped forward.

Her eyes turned distant as Echo Sight activated.

Moments later Lita knocked one of the guards unconscious.

  Naomi exhaled slowly.

  “He’s just a volunteer soldier.”

  “He knows nothing about Skybase.”

  Kira frowned.

  “…Figures.”

“This isn’t going to be easy.”

Back in Light City, General Altone’s elite squad continued pushing toward the city center.

Civilians stayed tightly grouped behind the soldiers as they moved through the ruined streets.

  Smoke drifted between shattered buildings.

  Then suddenly—

  An airship roared overhead.

A missile slammed into a nearby tower.

The entire structure collapsed across the street in a thunderous crash, blocking the squad’s path forward.

  Dust filled the air.

Behind them, the ground forces of Superiors surged through the smoke, sprinting toward the trapped soldiers.

  Weapons raised.

  Powers glowing.

  The civilians screamed.

High above the city, standing atop the towering Lumiere Hotel, a lone figure watched the battlefield.

  Jensu.

His cloak whipped violently in the wind as he surveyed the chaos below.

  He exhaled slowly.

  Then spoke.

  “Black Luster Technique… Wind Style.”

  His body lowered slightly.

  “Turbine Thrust.”

The air around him compressed violently.

  Then—

  He vanished.

A sonic boom ripped across the skyline.

The ground exploded as Jensu crashed down between the elite squad and the charging Superiors.

The pavement rippled outward beneath his feet like water before shattering into a crater.

  Dust blasted outward.

The charging Superiors skidded to a halt.

Jensu casually brushed the dust from his coat.

“You humans are doing pretty well,” he said calmly.

He glanced back toward the soldiers.

“But it looks like you need a little help.”

The squad leader lowered his rifle slightly.

  “…Are you the Advocate?”

  Jensu tilted his head.

  “My name is Jensu.”

  “And you are?”

  The man straightened.

  “Captain Dante.”

  Relief flooded his voice.

“I’m glad you’re here. I need to get these civilians to safety.”

Jensu nodded toward the city center.

  “The power plant.”

  “I’ll clear you a path.”

  Dante blinked.

  “…How did you know that?”

  Jensu smirked faintly.

“I hear everything over your comms.”

Behind them, the collapsed building suddenly lifted into the air.

A massive surge of wind hurled the debris skyward like paper.

  Dante stared.

“Jensu… there are still civilians scattered throughout the city.”

“My squads are split up trying to rescue them.”

  Jensu cracked his neck.

  “No problem.”

  “I’ll cover them too.”

  Dante frowned.

  “…How?”

  Jensu didn’t answer.

  Instead—

  He moved.

In an instant he burst forward into the charging Superiors.

The moment he landed among them—

  BOOM

  A violent shockwave erupted outward.

Dozens of Superiors were thrown through the air, crashing into buildings and vehicles in a spray of blood.

  Dante immediately turned.

  “Squads move!”

  “We’ve got civilians to move!”

  The soldiers advanced.

Behind them, the battle had already begun.

Superiors rushed Jensu from all directions.

  He met them head-on.

  One attacker lunged—

Jensu caught his arm and ripped it free from the shoulder before kicking the body aside.

Another charged with flames erupting from his hands.

Jensu ducked beneath the attack and drove his elbow through the man’s skull.

More Superiors began unleashing their powers.

  Lightning.

  Fire.

  Stone.

None of it slowed him down.

Jensu flipped backward through the air, twisting as he extended two fingers.

Compressed air bullets fired from his fingertips.

  CRACK CRACK CRACK

  Three skulls exploded.

  Bodies collapsed across the street.

  He landed lightly.

  Then walked forward.

  Each step calm.

  Each movement precise.

  Another air squadron roared overhead.

Star fighters dove toward the civilians.

  The soldiers braced—

  Then suddenly—

A massive ceiling of earth erupted above them.

Bullets slammed harmlessly into the barrier.

Across the city, more Superiors charged toward another squad escorting civilians.

The ground beneath them suddenly erupted.

Stone spires skewered them where they stood.

Sonic booms echoed across Light City as Jensu moved from district to district faster than the eye could follow.

He appeared in front of another evacuation squad.

  “Keep moving,” he told them.

Behind him, star fighters lined up for another strafing run.

  Jensu glanced upward.

  Then smiled.

His body ignited with blazing light.

Heat waves rolled outward from his skin.

  “Black Luster Technique…”

  “Flame Style.”

He rose slowly into the air.

  “Sunburst.”

Wind compressed around his body again.

Then Jensu launched forward like a comet.

A blazing streak of orange tore through the sky.

He passed through the formation of star fighters.

  Then vanished into the distance.

  A second later—

The entire fleet erupted into explosions.

  Fireballs filled the sky.

Back on the ground, Superiors attempted to crush Dante’s squad beneath falling debris.

  But the rubble stopped midair.

A dome of compressed wind held it in place.

  Dante stared upward in disbelief.

“…It’s like he’s everywhere at once.”

Another squad leader spoke into the comms.

“Is… this the power of an Advocate?”

One by one, the evacuation squads finally reached the power plant at the center of the city.

Massive energy shields sealed the facility.

  No Superior could enter.

  No bombardment could break through.

The soldiers gathered inside the perimeter, watching the city beyond.

They saw Jensu surfing across the streets atop slabs of earth, launching himself through the sky in streaks of blazing light.

  Everywhere he appeared, Superiors fell.

  The soldiers began cheering.

  Hope returned.

Captain Dante turned toward his units. “All squads form up! We’re taking the city back!”

Jensu heard the command through the comms.

  Good.

The soldiers didn’t need him anymore.

He launched himself into the air again and streaked toward General Altone’s headquarters.

Moments later he landed outside the main gate.

His feet touched the ground silently.

Then a voice spoke behind him.

  “Took you long enough, Advocate.”

  Jensu turned slowly.

A tall man with blood-red hair stepped forward, resting a massive sword across his shoulder.

  Jensu frowned slightly.

“My name is Jensu, not Advocate.”

  Brandon smirked.

  “Doesn’t matter.”

“The name won’t be remembered after tonight.”

  Flames erupted around Brandon’s body.

  He lunged forward.

  Jensu sighed.

Then calmly slid both hands into his pockets.

  The battle began.
