Episode 6: The Mark of Kairos

  Scene 1 – The Prophetess’s Whisper

  Soft torchlight illuminates the stone walls of the house. Thick incense hangs in the air. Lee sits across from a prophetess of the Videu race.

  Prophetess (weak, prophetic voice):

  — The boy… he carries the spark of the ancient forgotten God. But not even he knows it yet. Time will demand answers.

  Lee frowns, uneasy.

  Lee (thinking):

  If this is true… then Leon may be in grave danger.

  The scene shifts with a fast, intense transition.

  Scene 2 – The Xprian Council Chamber

  The chamber’s architecture is imposing: black crystal columns, floating chairs surrounding a holographic table. Lee enters. All councilors are already present, projected as floating eyes — except Laura, his mother, and the General Director, Doria, who are physically there.

  Councilor 1 (cold):

  — You arrived just in time, Lee. We heard you brought a Krizardian into the organization.

  Councilor 2 (harsher):

  — You know this is against the rules. You are the only exception, and only because we watched you grow here. We will not tolerate another Krizardian among us.

  Councilor 3:

  — That despicable race has already caused enough suffering. Even you struggle to adapt because of it.

  Lee clenches his fists but remains calm.

  Lee:

  — I understand… but even so, we cannot get rid of him like that. I saw what he’s capable of. And inside him… is the Krizardian God, Kairos.

  Councilor 1 (shocked):

  — What!? That’s impossible!

  Councilor 2 (in disbelief):

  — The last one who carried that monster was the Krizardian Lim. They say he transcended to the heavens… It’s impossible for him to have reincarnated.

  Councilor 3 (serious):

  — This is far too serious, Lee. How can you be so certain?

  Lee:

  — About two years ago, during a mission, I went to planet Videu. There, I met an elderly woman of that race…

  Councilor 2 (interrupting):

  — Videu? Their home planet? I thought they were extinct. The few survivors serve the King on Krizard.

  Lee:

  — That’s true. But the planet became a war refuge. Other races live there now. That woman lived alone… and she told me something I never forgot:

  “The Creator will devour everything that exists, and the time is near.”

  Lee (continuing):

  — I returned there recently. She was already waiting for me. She told me I must protect the boy with my life… because he holds the answer to what is coming.

  Laura steps forward, her gaze serious.

  Laura:

  — Bring him to me. I’ll enter his mind and see what’s there.

  Councilor:

  — Yes. And once you have answers, inform us immediately.

  The projections vanish one by one. Only Lee, Laura, and Director Doria remain.

  Scene 3 – Survivors’ Quarters

  The room is simple, with clean beds and fresh food laid out on tables. The nine warriors rescued from the arena are scattered around, some resting, others silent. Leon sits near the window.

  Lee appears at the doorway.

  Lee:

  — Leon. Come with me.

  The warriors react with surprise.

  Warrior 1 (irritated):

  — Why is it always him? We fought too! No one came to talk to us…

  An older man, calm, approaches and places a hand on the warrior’s shoulder.

  Older Man:

  — Thank Leon’s God. He’s the reason you’re at peace now. You should be dead… but look: fresh food, rest… just relax.

  Leon rises silently and follows Lee.

  Scene 4 – Mental Examination Room

  The room is bright and sterile, filled with advanced technology. A floating medical platform rests at the center. Leon watches cautiously.

  Laura (gentle but firm):

  — Lie down, please. It will be quick. Just relax.

  Leon lies down. The platform adjusts automatically to his body. Laura approaches and places her hand on his forehead. Her eyes glow with golden light.

  Laura:

  — Close your eyes… and don’t fight what you feel.

  Scene 5 – Inside Leon’s Mind

  Total darkness. Absolute emptiness. Distant sounds echo, like the beating of a heart. Laura appears, floating inside Leon’s mind. Suddenly, an icy wind blows.

  Laura (whispering):

  — What a… dark place…

  A mist begins to form. Claws emerge from the darkness. A roar echoes. A colossal figure rises: a black beast with massive wings, burning yellow eyes, and five tails twisting like serpents of living smoke.

  The creature lunges violently. Before Laura can react, it grabs her by the neck.

  She tries to scream, but no sound comes out.

  Monster (guttural voice):

  — Wake up… before it’s too late…

  The screen cuts to black.
