Closing its status, it began thinking about its next steps, it knew it had to expand its domain preferably over the entire Titan core's area, and it knew it had to find a more sustainable source of Mana other than absorbing from blood-roots which were growing more limited every passing moment. It already had an idea to solve both of these issues, the Mana hurricane around the Titan core would give it a sustainable Mana regeneration which in turn would help it expand its domain. However, the Titan core and its hurricane lay more than thirty meters away from its location which would cost about two hundred, and ten Mana points to expand all the way there; furthermore, it would run out of blood-roots to absorb long before it reached the center.
Leaving its room, it returned to the Titan core's cave and began surveying for anything which could help with its current Mana crisis. It's sight once again landed on the strange black rock embedded in the wall nearby noting it worth checking out, and it spotted something which it hadn't the first time it came into the room, strange creatures hanging upside down from the ceiling over the pond to the left of the area. It was torn between which way it would expand, lying to its right was the strange black stone about ten meters away from it, while to its left approximately twelve meters away were those strange creatures hanging from the ceiling.
That didn't last long however as its curiosity towards the creatures won over the black stone, so it started expanding towards the pond without any need to stop once it commenced its expansion. As it reached the pond, its Mana regeneration caused by the Leechlings' ongoing absorptions was barely keeping up with its usage, but it lasted long enough, now it could view the creatures and actually appraise them.
It was getting more interested in these Bats as it read their description, especially when it appraised the Shade Wing Zephyr.
This description made it wonder if these Bats might be able to gain Dark Magic affinity if they evolved to a higher rating, and made it want them even more. So it waited until its Mana replenished enough to use Mana Discharge and kill one of these Bats so it can assimilate it, hopefully gaining a monster it can actually make this time.
After its Mana reached nine, it used Mana Discharge firing the sphere directly at the unsuspecting Bats, who noticed too late for them to avoid the sphere as it barreled into them, detonating after colliding with the ceiling. It saw the sphere explode and watched as eyes, teeth, limbs, and organs flew in every direction decorating its surroundings in gore, all the while it could only feel shocked at the display of brutality its sphere had done against the Bats turning them all into bits and pieces scattered in and around the pond.
Shaking itself out of its stupor it assimilated the most intact remains hoping it hadn't ruined its chance at acquiring these creatures, thankfully it's fear turned unfounded as it saw multiple black boxes spreading out before it.
The high Mana content within the Bat surprised it, but it couldn't understand why they would have such a high Mana capacity. Nonetheless, the incident with the Bats made it realize that it's Mana Discharge was absurdly powerful and made it wonder just what its own rating was considering it had turned those innocent Bats into a shower of gore. The Bear, however, had remained relatively undamaged at the time making it think this was probably another difference from its previous haphazard throwing of balls of Mana as opposed to having a proper skill which seemed to increase its strength making the Spheres deadlier.
Returning to its room, it created ten Shade Wing Bats and left them to hunt in the Titan core area, with its sight returned to its core it opened its status viewing the changes done to it and to see how much Wisdom increased its Mana capacity.
Ending its check, it remembered it had forgotten to assimilate more Bats to raise its Mana back to full after being distracted by its thoughts. So it swiftly returned to the disaster zone and assimilated four Bats and moved over to the right side of the room where it expanded all the way to the strange black rock where it didn't waste any time appraising it.
It was disappointed about this Elwind Stone for now because it knew when it assimilated it, it wouldn't be able to make it at all until its Mana capacity got higher, even so, it still started the assimilation process.
It watched as its Mana rocketed back to maximum capacity shocking it as it didn't realize the stone could hold Mana and sad at the waste of fifty points dissipating into the Mana hurricane. Nevertheless, it started expanding towards the Titan core now having enough Mana with its full capacity and the remaining Bat bits.
Hours melted away as it focused on expanding its domain, when it finally reached the Core it felt exhaustion like it had never known before and fell asleep for the first time in its life.
