Chapter 3: Never Trust Old Men in Loincloths

If I had a heart, it would have broken any nearby eardrums.

  "Ahhhhhhh! He can see me!"

The old man smiled, but that just made him look like a pedo, what with his dirty waist wrap and grimy headdress made of bird feathers that still had some skin attached.

"kuku, quite. Now, since I'm a kind shaman, I'll let you beg for three seconds before I stuff you into a soul stone."

'Beg... well, I guess being a beggar would be a more productive career for me... I wouldn't mess up too much anymore...'

  "Threetwoone!"

  "Wait, that's unfai-"

  "Soul Bind"

I felt the vertigo that comes with falling from a high altitude, and then I felt like a sardine. I couldn't see anything, but this stone was really cramped.

'ow... why does this stone have to be so small?'

I try to push the walls, and to my surprise, they stretch.

  '...

  stretchy walls. Classic.'

Pushing harder, I feel like something is pushing back, but it's so weak I can hardly mention it.

  Riiip

  And I'm out again.

  '...'

  "..."

The old man has a really scary expression, and he's glaring at me...

  'Please don't hurt me...'

The pedo is holding a broken purple stone, and looking really irritated. But all of a sudden, his face breaks out into a smile.

"kuku, so, it seems like a lesser soul stone isn't enough to contain you. Unfourtunatly, I have nothing of higher quality, so~"

"So... you're gonna let me go?"

He just smiles even wider... I have a bad feeling about this...

If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.

"Of course! I would never hurt a spirit as powerful as you! Why, I'm sure that little girl you murdered would be ecstatic to know you're roaming free!"

'You know... I think he's being sarcastic. Besides, I'm pretty sure it was a boy, no girl would have such an un-cute face. So why did he think it was a gi-'

  Murdered? As in, killed?

'All I wanted was warmth... but I killed someone...'

"kuku, are you feeling guilt? Newly made undeads who still have a mind usually don't like it when they find out they kill instinctively."

"I... I didn't kill her. The orb was hiding- how else was I supposed to- I didn't kill her!"

He just grinned slyly, and fingered the broken stone.

"kuku, well, there is still a way to save her life, you know~"

  "What? How?"

'Why is he smiling? How can he be so callous?'

"kuku, all you have to do is go into her body. You'll have to squish a bit, but I'm sure a murderer like you can deal with a bit of discomfort~"

'I don't like this... will going into her really save her life?'

Against my better judgment, I float into the girl-who-looks like a boy, and squish myself so my entire being is inside.

"Okay, I'm in. Now how do I-"

  "kuku! Now I've got you!"

  "Soul Bind"

  'hah... I deserved this."

The vertigo returns, and when I come to my senses, my body feels heavy and cold.

  'Well...

  shit.'

I'm gonna write another chapter after this, it'll be posted in two-three hours.

  And...

loli necromancer! My dreams came true!
