Second Entry

Morning started early today. My brother and I went to a

market in a village, that was not to far from ours. He

wanted to purchase a new enchanted sword, however

there had been none to find. My brother then told me we would be going into a more shady part of the market.

We soon came to a young man, with a black headband on top of his cloud gray hair. “I can sell it to you, but I want

something more valuable than money.” The man stated to us. My brother then asked him. “What might that be?”

“Well the horn of a unicorn.” This mans words sent chills down my spine. Could he seriously mean that.

“Alright, I will do it!” My brothers words replied in a

stern voice. “Wait, brother are you crazy.” I ask in a voice that is pleading him not to do this.

Not only are unicorns extremely dangerous creatures, but anyone who does mange to get a horn, ends up the target of the extremely shady unicorn protectors. They are

almost like animal activist, but will assassinate anyone

who manages to take a unicorn horn of its head.

“Our village is to small for them to ever find me.”

My brother calmly tries to reassure me.

Even though I have doubts, I still allow my brother to go

into the lakeside forest. He returns two hours afterwards. To my surprise he actually has, the unicorn horn.

“I am ready to purchase my sword.” My brothers words

brimming with confidence, as he pass the man that horn in his left hand. “ Fantastic, It is a done deal then!”

The man in the black headband exclaims. My brother

confirms, that the sword is indeed and enchanted one.

Once he is satisfied, we return to our village.

As we are leaving I notice a woman in a red dress with

emerald green eyes, and dark red hair, leering at my

brother. I do not think much of it at that time.

Night soon falls once we have been back for a few hours. We head to bed, my brother must be extremely

weary, having fought a unicorn. In the middle of the

night, I wake to a strange metallic sound, which is

scraping against the wall. I quickly but quietly head to my brothers room. That is when I see her, the woman from

  before.

Anger wells up inside me. A feeling like sparks spreading

from my stomach up my throat, all the way to the base of my toughen. “No!” I shout and as I do fire spreads from

the tip of my toughen all the way to were that woman is

standing. As this is happening my brother awakes to the

unbelievable sight of me breathing fire, to stop the woman with the knife just above his neck.

The woman is now running for her life, with left side of

her face scorched. After she is gone for a good thirty

minutes, my brother says to me with a sly smirk on his

face. “Lets see if you can do that again.” I head back to bed, finally settling down, after it has been long enough for me to no longer worry about that woman returning.
