Tenth Entry

Moonbeam, Stream, and I had decided to go collect

  materials for trading and crafting.

We headed towards one of the local beaches.

It was known to have ripple tigers.

Ripple tigers uses their paws to walk across any water

  source contains saltwater.

It uses a special substance in its paws to stand on the salt

itself, as a result it can move across the water.

This substance also allows it to manipulate the body of

  water to its will.

The ripple tiger makes a wave to pull in any prey

towards it, then creates a whirlpool to drown the victim.

As we approached the edge of the

water, a wave started to grow, and was

  heading straight to us.

A faint blue light surrounded stream, and then pushed her far away from the wave coming towards all of us.

Both Moonbeam and I had been pulled in opposite

directions, each nearing our own ripple tiger.

Unfortunately for the one that pulled in Moonbeam, it

pulled him so close that they touched it was now dead.

As for me, I was struggling to free myself from a

whirlpool the nearest me had made.

At last I used my tail to reverse the whirlpools

momentum. I spread my wings and flew into the air.

I was trying to get a better vantage point.

It made a title wave, trying to get at me.

Half the town was about to be destroyed, and it

was my fault. I yelled to stream.

“Quick talk of the necklace!” Stream complied and then

I made a wish out loud.

“I wish for the wave to be ten times smaller!”

An orange light started to fill the inside of the title wave,

and as it did, it begun to shrink. Soon it had become an

  average sized wave.

The ripple tiger was confused. I used this chance to take

out my claws and, fly down towards it like a meteor, my

arms outstretched with my claws being at the center.

The ripple tiger had no time to react, its blood soaking on to my wrist and stomach. I took the body to the shore and dismembered all its legs.

We did this with many more ripple tigers until it was time to eat each of our meals.

During this time I asked Moonbeam

“Will you be able to trade your materials with out

harming anyone?” Then Moonbeam answered my question.

“As long as they do not touch me directly on any of my body parts, they will not be affected,

I seem to be the only carrier.”

We had may conversations like this one.

Stream had put back on her necklace, after it seemed like none of the ripple tigers would make another title wave. We also ended up fighting a few sand bears latter.

Sand bears travel under the sand and use vibrations to

  sense their prey.

They do this by placing their paws in front of themselves while under the sand.

Once they find something they dig upwards, which due

to force as they dig creates a sand stream upwards.

It is very disorienting when you are not aware it will

happen. The sand bears use this confusion to tear at

  the prey it has found.

When it comes to humans they can recover much faster

than other creatures. It was funny when they would go

after Stream, the wish I had made for stream to be safe

around me would take affect. Stream would suddenly start to float in mid air, and be moved slightly away from where the sand blast would form.

The sand bear would look around in a confused state, and then go after me or Moonbeam. When it got to Moonbeam, as soon as it made any contact, it would

  die on the spot.

The ones that came after me I would first set their fur on

fire, then blind them with my claws.

I would then pin their claws down with my tail

and fly upwards, toss them in the air, then I would fly through them with my claws

  in front of me.

This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.

The sand bears claws are a great trade material as well.

Stream decided to see the local herbalist, formerly from

my own village, while Moonbeam and I headed to the

  blacksmith.

We had him make some beach boots for the three of us.

I traded some sand bear claws for a nice bracelet made

  from aqua tear.

This would use the mana from the aqua tear to create air

  bubbles, to breath under water.

This would only last about ten minutes with each use.

Once we had finished getting things made and trading, we met back up with Stream. The next day we decided to

head to a snow peak mountain.

The snow there was special, it could not melt unless

magic was used on it.We arrived to the

mountain, but we could not predict what was unfolding

  in front of us.

A young woman with hair that was glowing the color of

the sun, threw a sword downwards with the handle

striking and planting into the ground.

This woman was on top of the mountain and the sword

landed perfectly into the ground like that.

Then we watched as she jumped, of the mountain directly onto the sword. It pierced her center, and because of the

height she jumped from, her body was split in half.

Stream, Moonbeam and I all screamed in unison.

Then her body started to move, each peace heading

towards the other. They began to, what seemed

to us, sew themselves back together.

“What?” Stream asked me. “Do bodies do that?”

Moonbeam asked both Stream and I.

I was silent. The woman now stood in front of me.

“1301 attempts, and no results, I hate this world.”

This was what she said to herself as tears flowed from her eyes. She had yet to notice us.

When she finally noticed us she stared and then said.

“ So you all saw that, just pretend this never happened.”

“We can not do that!” I say to her.

“I will do anything to help someone in need.”

She looked at me as I told her this.

“What can you do to help, no one can.”

She was trying to get me to give up on her with these

  words. I then blurt out

“We can be your friends!” Shock spreads across her face.

“Friends? No one has ever asked to be my friend.”

The woman hesitates before saying her next words.

“Fine if you really want to, we can be friends.”

I and the rest of us accept her as our mew friend.

She then tells us her name.

“My name is Raven Star.” Raven Star tells us about why

she has been trying to kill herself. She had been abused by both parents.

One day when she finally had enough of it all she went to the volcano and jumped in as she was falling, a phoenix

passed above her and a blinding white light filled the sky

and herself. When she came to the phoenix was gone and she was on the volcano edge instead of

the lava. She then jumped in again.

She felt the lava as it burned her alive.

Then she woke up in a cavern underneath the volcano.

This made her think the volcano would not let anyone die in it.

She told us of every attempt she tried up to the point of

meeting us. This also included all the pain

  she described.

Stream, Moonbeam, and I decided we would never, ever

commit suicide. We also told our stories to Raven Star.

She began to understand why she could not kill herself.
