Chapter 129 - Second Transcendence

With the Spine Serpent problem resolved, William finally drifted toward the mall where he had previously purchased the Thunder Drake Beast bloodline cards.

Upon entering, he headed straight for the counter. With a flicker of thought, he transmitted his intent directly to the staff behind the desk.

“I need two Thunder Drake Beast advanced bloodline cards—the kind with the talents Lightning Flash, Thunder Armor, and Thunder Assault.”

Hearing William’s request, the attendant immediately presented a Thunder Drake Beast advanced bloodline card and respectfully said,

“Honored guest, is this the type of advanced card you’re looking for?”

Sweeping it with his divine sense, William confirmed it was the same as the one he had bought previously.

“That’s right, this is the one.”

Soon after, with two more Thunder Drake Beast bloodline cards in hand, William had once again returned to the ranks of the broke.

  Amidst the staff’s enthusiastic farewells,

he left the soul-crushing place with two heavy sealed cards in hand.

Returning to his divine domain, he hovered high above his realm and took a deep breath.

His demigod spirit slowly dissipated, his consciousness exiting the Realm of the Gods and returning to the real world.

Eat, drink, relieve himself, bathe and scrub, light incense, pray to the gods—

then right back into the Realm of the Gods.

The whole routine flowed like water, a masterclass in time management.

Then came another wave of artificially generated divine phenomena—ritual vibes to the max.

Hovering midair in his divine realm, William quietly muttered to himself:

“Dear God, whether it’s high-energy nutrition bars or eating dirt from now on, it all depends on today.”

“Guan Gong is already on standby—your move now.”

“Please bless this Flame Demon bloodline card fusion—if it fails… heh…”

Corporate Cultivation Handbook: Only with competition is there pressure. With pressure comes motivation…

And so began William’s usage of 31 bloodline cards in this batch.

The process was well-practiced—lay the groundwork, and then use the Flame Demon bloodline card.

As for the two Thunder Drake Beast advanced cards,

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

they had to wait due to the Ant Queen’s limited egg-splitting capacity.

Two days passed in a flash.

William stood before a hatchery that emitted a faint orange glow.

His expression was serious, but the flickers of nervousness in his eyes betrayed his unease.

The surface of the hatchery was covered in thick, vein-like webs,

  now twitching and pulsing violently—

  expanding and contracting rapidly.

Even within a few meters of the structure, the high heat radiating from it could be clearly felt.

The surrounding air was visibly distorted from the temperature.

As time went on, the spasms of the hatchery gradually slowed and eventually calmed.

“Phew… finally almost done.” William let out a long breath, a fleeting smile flashing across his face.

Looking at the now fully transcendent Suicide Leaping Bug hatchery that had stopped convulsing,

the weight on his chest finally lifted.

Initially, after using the Flame Demon bloodline card and avoiding the 30% failure chance,

William thought things had gone smoothly and was ready to celebrate.

But then, he noticed that after integrating the large chain of transcendent genes from the Flame Demon’s bloodline,

the Suicide Leaping Bug hatchery’s body showed signs that it couldn’t physically bear the load.

Having little prior understanding of the Flame Demon Detonation bloodline ability,

William had severely underestimated the physical requirements needed to handle the power of that talent.

Terrified, he dashed into the Divine Exchange Continent

and brought back several large barrels of Spring of Life water,

pouring them madly into the hatchery.

Had the hatchery failed to withstand the bloodline transformation and died…

William probably would’ve vomited three liters of blood on the spot.

Fortunately, with the timely delivery of those barrels of Spring of Life,

combined with the hatchery’s already top-tier physical template among ordinary-level structures,

and with various heat-resistant base genes and a foundation of existing Suicide Leaping Bug transcendents,

  it barely survived the transformation.

Monitoring the process via gene adjustment and internal observation,

William triple-checked that the newly embedded transcendent gene tumors had fully stabilized within the hatchery’s gene chain

before finally withdrawing his divine sense.

He tugged the threads of faith and had the Ant Queen produce a Suicide Leaping Bug to test the results.

  In less than two minutes,

bright orange-red eggs began being squeezed out of the hatchery’s writhing oviposition chamber.

Nearby, heat-resistant logistic Leaping Bugs were already on standby.

They immediately stepped forward, waving their shoulder tendrils,

  carefully cradling each egg.

They took off swiftly, flying through the underground high-speed tunnels,

  leaving the underground nest.

These eggs would be delivered to a separate incubation facility two kilometers away,

where they would be meticulously nurtured through the hatching, larval, and cocooning phases—

  until they reached adulthood.

  This would take time,

and William could only wait patiently for results and make adjustments as needed.

  With things here temporarily settled,

he immediately flew off to inspect the Spine Serpent transcendent hatcheries one by one.
