  “Vulcan.” He always had issues coming up with names for his characters, so he was very happy to hear that Royal Road allowed multiple users to use the same name- even if a lot of people would start to use generic names like Shadow. Maybe this name, originating from the roman pantheon, would not be beaten to the death or worse, hacked apart by adding x's or numbers like it had become common in the gaming world.

  “Male!” I am male, and have my own pride. Not to mention, just how much confusion would it create if I suddenly stopped being male? Odd choices.

  Desert Elf? That was not in the book...I think this might actually be a newly discovered race. Too bad I was not in the first wave, but maybe this actually helps me. The forums did say that someone who discovered a subrace would have to undergo penalties in order to convert. I should be amongst the first few to choose that subrace. “What are the features of the desert elves?”

  Slightly surprised, he let out a small gasp. In the current lighting, he saw himself with a slightly golden skin tone, almost as if the avatar in front of him was shining from within. Medium length black hair gently swayed in a nonexistent breeze, while dark, almost black, brown eyes looked past him into the distance.

  "Can I get a special iris that seems to hold a flame within, a pattern that shifts according to the light?"

  He didn't get any notification about his request being fulfilled, but he knew the instant it was shown. The eyes now seemed to radiate and shift, causing an almost hypnotic effect.

  "I would like to look like this. Thank you."

  A polite AI, now that is interesting. It reacted to my thank you. Just as he had these thoughts, the AI continued to talk.

  “I would like to start in a city befitting of my race, maybe an Oasis.”
