Chapter 24: The First Ruler of the Biuniverse

Chapter 24: The First Ruler of the Biuniverse

The scene opens in the mansion, with a heavy air that reflects the state of the group. Juan lies in his room, resting, while his friends try to find some peace in the midst of uncertainty.

Valtherion stands firm like a statue on one side of his bed, without moving for a second, as if his own life depended on the protection of his master.

Charlotte and Elizabeth talk in a low voice, trying not to show the anxiety they feel.

Scarlett prepares potions in the kitchen, concentrated but visibly worried.

Lightning, for its part, simply goes around the house, unable to hide its discomfort.

  Scene 2: The Void

Meanwhile, in his mind, Juan returns to that mysterious place called the void. She is in front of the imposing and heavenly figure of The Mother, with her body covered with constellations and galaxies.

Juan: "I think I'll do well..."

The Mother gives him a warm smile.

The Mother: "You will, Juan... Don't worry. You have the right heart for this.”

But the words don't manage to reassure Juan.

Juan (with frustration): "Why didn't you do it? I knew you had the power... You could have done it better than me."

The Mother sighs calmly, as if she knows more than she says.

  The Mother: "It's not that I couldn't... It's that I shouldn't."

Juan (staring at her): "That doesn't make sense. Why didn't you apply yourself? Why did you let me deal with this?"

The Mother: (smiling with mystery) "Maybe because the universe doesn't need power... it needs hope."

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.

That answer left Juan thoughtful, but not fully convinced.

Juan (insistent): "And what about the Motherboards? Why do you call yourself that? Do you have anything to do with them?"

For the first time, the Mother did not smile. Instead, he was silent for an uncomfortable moment.

The Mother (looking at him seriously): "That... is something I can't answer you yet."

Juan: "Why not? What are you hiding from me?"

The Mother: (taking a deep breath) "Maybe I can tell you soon... But now it seems that they need you somewhere else."

Suddenly, the void began to tremble. Juan tried to scream, but he felt dragged back to reality.

  Scene 3: The Awakening

Juan woke up startled in his bed, sweating and breathing with difficulty. In front of him, his friends were gathered.

Elizabeth was the first to run next to her.

  Elizabeth: "Don't get up! Rest.”

Scarlett: (worried) "Please, Juan... don't do nonsense."

Juan (smiling weakly): "Don't worry... I'm fine."

Lightning, in a mocking tone, added:

Lightning: "Yes, yes... we already know that you are the hero of the universe. Don't get too excited.”

Juan laughed softly, but noticed that his friends were restless.

  Juan (curiously): "What's going on?"

They gave him a holographic newspaper, a universal newspaper that showed the news of the universe. On each screen, his face appeared along with the headlines:

“The New Ruler of the Biuniverse”

  “The Savior of the System”

  “The Destined for Everything”

Juan smiled when he saw some interviews, where people he had helped spoke with gratitude. However, something caught his attention: on Earth, things were different.

Juan (reading in a low voice): "Planet Earth remains neutral in the mandate of the Ruler of the Biuniverse..."

  Juan sighed.

Juan (thinking): "The Earth... always so proud."

  Scene 4: The Heavenly Council

Juan knew he needed answers. The next day, he went to the Heavenly Council accompanied only by Valtherion.

Juan (to the leader of the Council): "I need to know what to do... What is the role of a ruler of the Biuniverse?"

The leader, Azarath, crossed his arms.

Azarath: "Juan... even we don't know."

Juan: (surprised) "What do you mean they don't know?"

Azarath: “Because there has never been one.”

Juan (shocked): "What do you mean there has never been one?"

Azarath: "You are the first, Juan... The Biuniverse chose that it was time to have a ruler."

Juan (confused): "So... Was Sael also elected?"

Dorian, with a bitter smile, interrupted.

Dorian: “No. I chose Sael... thinking that I could impose my own will in the universe."

  The silence was uncomfortable.

Azarath: "You were the only true chosen one... The Biuniverse chose you, Juan."

Juan was silent. His head was a whirlwind of thoughts.

Juan (in a low voice): "Why I...?"

Azarath: (smiling) "Maybe because the universe knew that only someone like you could change things."

Juan left the council with a sarcastic smile.

Juan (speaking to himself): "Well... this will be fun."
