Chapter 14: The fate of the snake

  The wind whistled loudly, the jungle seemed to tremble at the presence of the colossal snake. J?rmungandr's eyes shone with fierce intensity, as if he was enjoying the moment.

  Juan remained still, studying each of his movements.

  Valtherion (looking at Juan with uncertainty):

  "What is he up to...?"

  J?rmungandr threw himself like lightning, his body sliding at an absurd speed.

  Juan dodged the first onslaught, turned on himself and stepped back, always keeping a precise distance.

  Lightning (pasping):

  "Is he running away?"

  Elizabeth (looking carefully):

  "No... he's measuring his movements."

  Suddenly, Juan stopped his steps, turned around and smiled.

  Juan (with confidence):

  "I got you."

  He jumped over J?rmungandr's tail, spun in the air with an impeccable maneuver and threw a brutal punch directly into the snake's side.

  Boom

  The impact echoed like thunder.

  Lightning (impressed):

  "But what the hell was that?!

  Charlotte (surprised):

  "How can you move like that?!"

  Juan could not fly, but at that moment he seemed to remain suspended in the air, with a firm and powerful posture. As if the wind itself was holding it.

  J?rmungandr roared furiously and began to chase Juan at full speed. The snake broke colossal trees in its path, each movement shaking the ground like an earthquake.

  Charlotte (scared):

  "Juan won't be able to resist that rhythm for a long time!"

  Elizabeth (confident):

  "No, he's not running away... he's guiding him."

  Juan ran with precision, every turn and every jump was calculated. His plan was clear: to corner the snake until it was in a vulnerable position.

  Lightning (admired):

  Juan accelerated to the maximum, turned sharply in a clearing of the forest and disappeared from J?rmungandr's sight.

  The snake looked around, furious, without finding it.

  John (suddenly appearing behind the snake):

  "Did you miss me?"

  J?rmungandr turned violently, but Juan was already prepared. He jumped straight to his neck and, with an impossible speed, sank his fist into the scaly skin of the snake.

  Juan pushed with all his might, and finally managed to make J?rmungandr's head crash into a rocky mountain, breaking part of the stone into a thousand pieces.

  Valtherion, Lightning, Elizabeth and Charlotte could only observe the scene in silence.

  Juan approached J?rmungandr's head, breathing hard. He raised his fist, ready to give the final blow... but then, he saw something in his eyes.

  J?rmungandr's eyes did not reflect anger... but resignation.

  "Don't be afraid... end this."

  To everyone's surprise, Juan understood him.

  When the light dissipated, there was a child on the floor... a little one no more than 8 years old.

  The boy had deep green eyes and dark hair. His expression was confused... but calm.

  The group watched in silence: a huge destroyed field, with trees uprooted, destroyed mountains and the ground cracked as if a cataclysm had occurred.

  Valtherion (in a low voice):

  "What worries me... is that all that was caused by Juan.

  Lightning (trying to joke):

  "Yes, but you already know how he is...

  Valtherion (serious, interrupting him):

  "I know... but... what will happen the day Juan decides to get bad?"

  Lightning was silent, and the group looked again at the disaster that had remained around them.

  "That day... the whole world will tremble."
