If you made it this far in the story, Thanks. I felt a few things needed to be put down about a few questions readers might have, to be clear this is at least partially pre-written before I posted even the first chapter, so the top part will not have responses to comments, they may be added in the second part if not addressed directly, if not answered by my mundane foresight/social anxiety that leads to a need to clarify.
1. Creig did not die in his former world, since he would have been dead momentarily he was transported just before, I haven't decided by what force as of yet.
1.a. What nearly killed him was Antifa miscarrying a dirty bomb due to their sloppy natures. The cell did all die, but the state of their Gaia (Mother Earth) has the US in civil war and Russia struck China when they tried to expand in the gap of power this created.
2. Creig will go to Heaven or Hell when he dies instead of remaining in the pokemon dimension and going to their afterlife
3. You've probably been saying/reading Creigs' name as Craig or Kreig, I figured out an annoying way to say it and decided that was canon, though I will fully admit that I also tend to think Kreig when writing. Here's the phonetic: (Ss-ree-gh), yep I went with S, I am a bit of a sadist, I will laugh at your groans HeeheheheHahahah, I know exactly how horrible it is, it's worth it to me (more maniacal laughter)
4. The first chapters are setting, I never intended to introduce long term recurring or sidekick characters other than Pryce and Glacia, Interpol may get a shoutout here and there to "apprise" Creig of how his info is affecting the world, but that's it. That's also why they might feel like the lack solidity, I plan for the chapters from here on to have the focus to be solid.
4.a. I don't intend to be strict about stats in battle or pay attention to IVs, also besides making it so EVs have yearly allotments, they are not trained via which pokemon you defeat in this fan-fic, but by training, to make that clear.
4.b. animals exist in this canon, farms and ranches are 10:1 and wild 20~50:1 animals:pokemon (most food requires products not harvestable from pokemon, like eggs)
5. The timeline is a mix of all three media, with a heavier bent towards the games and manga, not that I remember every event.
5.a. Rather than solve the problems by wandering through, Ashs' journey will be as a sweeper stirring up the dust, meeting the legendaries exposing them to desiring eyes, it will be in the background, and he will not journey with all the heroines like he does in the anime, with the exception of Misty and Brock.
5.b. Red is Ashs' brother in this timeline and is 3 years younger and starts his journey while Ash will be challenging the battle frontier
5.c. To deal with Plasma not being a thing when Ash goes through Unova, I moved the plasma arc to several years ahead of schedule, a year before Red begins and while Ash is in Hoenn proper, B/W 2 events will be occurring. So yes Unova is out of order, that also means the characters are six years older than they would normally be.
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
5.d. Even if the villain organizations are stopped before hand, other groups will fill in the gaps of the "Story" the "fated" events will happen even if people try to stop them, Creig just made it so they could be handled potentially "better"
6. I was initially against ever having Creig go to Alola, due to the stronger cultural identity there, but after some reading up and realizing that both Interpol and Aether had been there for some time as outsider organizations I decided that while it was still a useful blip to put in for thought, Creigs contribution, along with recommendations from the two organizations would overshadow such things.
6.a. This minor conflict is the reason I went with and in the direction I did with the Tapu Koko scene, Creig now can catch pokemon because he has the two unique ice variants with only crabominable being Alola specific of his type left
7. Why Ice type, ever notice that, besides the arguable position of Pryce, and Melony, that 7th gym is the lowest any Ice specialist goes, and even Pryce is still in the second half even if you choose him first? Lorelai: E4-1, Pryce: 7th?, Glacia: E4-3, Candice: 7th, Brycen: 7th, Wulfric: 8th, Melony: 6th, Grusha: 8th
And a lot of late game, end game, and post game areas are snow areas. It's too consistent to be a mistake, so yeah, Ice is strong in the Pokémon World, despite how it's seen through game screens by players like us.
8. After Alola? probably Unova as it will be "safe", a quick trip to paldea before or after to catch a couple of pokemon possibly, then maybe Kanto.
9. Po town disaster and Lusamine, yeah doing some lore research these two events happened about the same time, though they are not conclusively connected, I did the connecting. They happened after a partner of Lookers dies and that is conclusively 10 years before the official games. Acerola was orphaned in the Po town disaster and doesn't remember, and Lilly barely remembers and the two are the same age in the games-11. ~3 years old seemed like it fit both for the events that happened. I thought about what would have pissed off the Tapu that badly and came to a Hypothesis, though I can see things going slightly differently or separately.
9.a. Yes I de-aged everyone who appears in Alola by 8 years, yes the disaster happens about the same time Ash leaves for his journey, I doubt the story developers considered this. (also Ash was 18 in Alola, which means being in school was actually reasonable, it also means he was 19 when he became world champ.)
10. The next couple might upset some people
10.a. I am treating the people of pokemon as near-but-not human, they are descendants of Mew the same as pokemon, in this fan-fic they are capable of breeding
10.b. The bodies, senses, instincts, and morals are also near-but-not. Nobody is capable of considering driving/crashing a semi-truck full force into a motel where their spouse and their lover are for example. They are all aura empaths by nature, to varying degrees, and plenty just straight up treat it like unimportant background noise. Both in concept and in physicality they don't have virginity, yep, the females are not born with a hymen, they can also lay eggs rather than give live birth. (These are the people that send kids and pubescent teens off unsupervised, sounds like a Greek story or twenty)
10.c. Why don't they get pregnant left and right? Don't know, lack of desire the way we have?, low fertility?, function to only consummate consciously? guesses, guesses everywhere, no answers I can find.
