The pne touches the ground, and the ramp goes down . In an organized way, the entire team for this operation exits. Twenty armed soldiers quickly exit the pne, securing what remains of the airport . The airport is in... not good shape . As the report indicated, there was an attack during the first wave of monsters that ended in a military victory but with great casualties and significant damage to the infrastructure in the zone. In all, this is the airport in the best condition in the area. Goji and Joy slowly descend the ramp ; they can see the team of 20 securing the zone until one soldier, presumably the leader, approaches Joy.

  -Madam, the zone is clear . There are some debris throughout the airport, and many buildings have been taken down or are too damaged to be usable . We will start reinforcing the perimeter and then send squads to look for anyone that hasn't evacuated yet . *After that quick report, the soldier returns to reinforce the perimeter , and a silence falls between the two . Then Goji speaks ...*

  -So ... Madam, no? Madam Joy, what are you? A noble? An old dy? *With a smirk on her face that shows her sharp teeth, the attacks continue against Joy, who can only mutter in astonishment.*

  -I'm only 25... *Then the reaction*... You oversized lizard! I don't look older than you!? How old are you?

  -Zero years old. *With total sincerity, Goji responds , and only the stunned face of a human remains.*

  In the next hour, the team prepared the defense of the airport efficiently. With Goji moving the heaviest things and under Joy 's direction, the defenses were finished within the hour. Because of that , Goji and Joy find themselves inside a watchtower at the edge of the airport, looking towards the buildings in the distance.

  -Madam, do you think there are any survivors in the rest of the city?

  -Please, no more ' madam '; it makes me feel old. And to answer your question... I hope so ; I really do . We already passed with a drone and bsted some announcements, but the reports said there was movement... just movement... *Sigh*... now that I remember , aren't you going to share your stats and abilities ? I already did show you mine; you know? "

  -Wouldn't you like to know, weather boy ?

  -Where the hell did you learn that?

  But before Goji could answer, gunshots started sounding in the distance. In less than a second , the duo began moving. Goji jumped off the watchtower without much thought and started running through the area. For her part, Joy used the telekinesis spell to move through the air at a simir speed as Goji . They reached the outskirts of the city, where a squadron of soldiers was holding a position against dozens of Gnolls surrounding the ruined building they were defending. Goji moved through the pce and directly jumped into the group of Gnolls. With a simple hit of her tail and some sshes with her cws, Goji took down four Gnolls. Before long, Joy reached the building where the soldiers were maintaining their position, watching Goji rampage through the Gnolls.

  -What are you waiting for? Start firing at the ones that aren't close to Agent Gojira!

  With that order , the squad of soldiers started firing once again. With professional aim, the rhythmic sound of gunfire echoed. Now with a calmer and firmer stance, Goji distracted the horde of Gnolls from getting too close. For her part, Joy closed her eyes for a moment, and the air seemed to move at her pace as she floated above the building. After some moments, rays of frost, fireballs, acid, and light arrows fell toward the enemies . Before long , the majority of Gnolls y dead on the ground, and the few that survived the barrage of attacks were quickly dealt with by the soldiers' constant fire. Then a scream was heard.

  -You small, cold-faced girl! Joy! You literally shot me! *From within the dust, Goji emerged. Her hair, already rebellious by nature and resembling a lion's mane, now had various effects at the tips: some were smoking, some were frozen, and some had droplets of acid falling from them as she looked up at Joy, who was floating with a smirk on her face.*

  -Oh my . It was just a case of friendly fire ; nothing much,really

  -You little...

  After a bit more banter between Joy and Goji , the two of them, along with the squad, returned to the airport , where a more detailed report was made by one of the soldiers.

  -So, soldier, what the hell happened out there?

  -Officer Joy, as pnned, before the convoy arrived, we were looking for any survivors in the zone as the st report from the drone... We thought we saw movement down the road in a group of buildings, so I sent two guys to investigate, and before long, they were shot with rocks infused with mana and were almost attacked by the Gnolls. Luckily , we were ready for that, so we suppressed them and deployed grenades to cover the pair. After that, I decided that we couldn't confront them in open ground , so we bunkered ourselves in the building.

  -And why didn't you inform us through the radio? There are other squadrons around the area.

  -We tried, but the radio didn't work ; I don't know why, ma'am .

  -Okay, okay . You did good . Go to the pne and review your equipment and that of your team. *With that, the soldier left, leaving Joy and Goji alone. * "And you? When are you going to stop being mad? It was an accident."

  -Really? The fricking fireball to my head didn't feel so accidental , you know?

  -Okay, okay, maybe it wasn't all accidental, but you deserved it - the clothing incident, calling me old...

  -Okay! Maybe I deserved it . Peace ?

  -Peace.
